mirtazapine and propanol. the adderral has helped me keep focus but it has also given me the side effects that i haven't felt since i was younger. I have been feeling increased anxiety, panic attacks that are unusual, nightmares and very pronounced depression. I also have been smoking maurijuanna but occasionally not too much. Theres so many variable that i don't know which is the main contributor to the increased depressive feelings.
adderall is just like speed ,so it make your heart beat fast.some people have had heart problems after being on adderall and some have had strokes and there have also been case where some have died a sudden death. there is also seizures as a side effect from these drugs.
don't know what your doctor was thinking when he gave you the adderall and I would stay away from those drugs.

I told my psychatrist about this and she told me that she does not know why it seems to work for a while then not be so effective, before taking celexa I was taking wellbutrin Sr 300 mgs, before that I was on lexapro 20 mgs one time a day, I had the same results with this drug as well, I was diagnosed with a mild form of depression. I am thinking maybe the adderall is to strong?
It should be noted here that I have a hx. of anxiety problems and depression. I have been on 75 mg. effexor for sometime now, and Ativan PRN for anxiety. I also have mild mitral valve prolapse which was dx. prob. 25 years ago, not taking anything for that but go yearly for echo, and have occasional stress tests. For the ADHD I have been prescribed Adderall XR 15 mg. once daily thus far.
She had been on Adderall for ADHD, went into a hypermanic event and was involuntarily committed for treatment. After her release she went back to her original Psychiatrist who again prescribed Adderall for her. Is Adderall ever used for bipoplar disorder. Everything I have read says no. How can I convince her Dr. to not prescribe it anymore? Please help us.
re talking about. For a long time my drugs of choice were adderall and oxycontin, then adderall and heroin. I liked that they balanced eachother out and got super addicted to the combo of them. But yes, when I came off of them, I had severe depression. However, each day i stayed off of it got better. The thing is, I had to go to rehab or 12 step meetings for the support and teh community and so I was around other addicts who understood and so i made myself accountable to them.
I am on Adderall and was on effexor. I have tried every depression and anxiety med that there is out there. I finally figured out that I do not need the depression meds since I am no longer depressed. He originally gave me the depression med for post partum which was 11 years ago. None of the meds worked. I was more tired and moody and gained too much weight. I have tried many different ADD meds as well.

Ive been on many different anti depressants for years, my Dr. finally said it may be add and added 5mg of adderall 2x's a day. I think it might make a little difference. If it is Add would 5 mg make any difference?
For the past month I have seen a change in both my behavior/attitude and mood...towards everything and anything. I'm more aggressive and easily irritated and annoyed. I lose my temper and am very impatient.. At the end of last year to the beginning of this year til like May I would say I was pretty positve and happy. But lately, I'm just depressed. I feel alone. and I'm not happy. Could the fact that I'm taking adderall be a reason to why I could be depressed?
yes psychiatrist do use adderall of label for depression, i used it and it was great, i was prescribed the same amount as you. i used it as an add on treatment i was on an antidepressant it helped but not enough when the adderall was added on i felt so much better.
I realize it’s most likely whatever symptoms depression and anxiety are described as. This depression/anxiety has been worsened due to choices INCLUDING and not limited to the described ADHD medications. I say it like that because I felt as ****** without the medications as I did with them. Also as described, without anything, I feel A DIFFERENT FEELING OF ******. In other terms, I feel different symptoms of depression and anxiousness.
I'm diagnosed with ADHD and depression at 25mg amphetamine tab daily (15 morning, 10 lunch), and 15mg Sertraline every breakfast, respectively. Regarding the ADHD, my psychiatrist told me I should probably take a "pill holiday" with the Adderall every once in a while when I don't study or when I am not doing much work. I tried that once, but I think it somewhat threw off my treatment for depression.
I have also dealt with anxiety and depression my whole life and am on 50mg Pristiq as well. Basically Efexxor but has a different pharmacology. When I got sober and was about 45 days clean I went into a deep clinical depression. I've always had "depression" but this was the first time I had it like this. I am was taking 30mg of adderall twice a day with 300mg of wellbutrin this seemed to be a good combo for my depression and add. I have recently been put on librium and propanolol for anxiety, thats all good. What I Am really.worried about is the 10mg of abilify they put.me on to help other anti depressant work. They also put me on luvox for OCD. i have heard good and bad things about these combos with adderall. I dont want them to counteract the drug. So any thoughts would be great. Thanks.
how do u know if you have taken too much adderall as a result of a severe anxioty and depression bout? . i had a really bad major depression day where i thought it be a good isea to take 210mg of adderall at once with a fiorecete with codeine, but started by taking 3 darvicet. my normal dosage is 30mg a day but i can only take 20. 30 i cant breathe. i took the 210mgs at like 300p today and all that happend was i got extremly nauseas n threw up but thats all. i feel sick.
Adderall is speed, and while speed has long been used for depression, as they say, speed kills. You get used to it and have to keep taking more, and it's hard to stop taking it. It also makes people anxious, and a lot of depressed people are also anxious. Some antidepressants are quite speedy in and of themselves for many people who take them, so much so that they can also cause anxiety. Wellbutrin is the most speedy for the most people and the least likely to cause weight gain.
Then the following day is marked by apathy and irritability. Symptoms improve after one day of no Adderall (and a break helps prevent tolerance). Taking Adderall also increases my heart rate, and I feel physically more nervous, despite anxious thoughts not being present. I would like to remain on Adderall, as the treatment for my ADHD has given me a substantial boost in confidence and learning, which has been invaluable and overshadows its negatives.
Based on my lack of response to depression relieving drugs and my positive response to Adderall do you think that my problem is depression-related?
this dr wants me to go up 10 mg a week till i reach 60...i dont know about that..he switched my adderall to ritalin for my refractory depression and i toook 2nd pill thsi morning but im afraif im gonna be allegic to it,u all know my fears..i alos haved somazation syndrome and hyperchrodriac..which this dr told me are 2 differnet things..he said to still enjoy my 2 or 3 beers,,he has been a pshychtrist for over 50 years..i read some good reviews on people using ritalin for depression...
Xanax wont help with energy and depression and it is making you more tired and the same is true with morphine. Try tapering the Xanax then go with a stimulant to help with daily energy (something like Adderall if you want amphetamines and Modafinil if you don't want amphetamines and less side-effects).
Managing a healthy diet rich in complex carbohydrates rather than simple sugar, rich in Omega-3, vegetables and fruits can also help.
