Avatar m tn I am a 48 yr old female diagnosed with recurring severe depression. When I am not taking my meds, I am tired, can sleep all day, am completely unmotivated to do anything and do not want to socialize with anyone. I have tried several different meds and am currently taking Celexa and Adderall XR. My psy says that adding the Adderall will "kick in the Celexa" and make it work better. I have a love/hate realationship with the Adderall.
Avatar f tn I take 30mg of Celexa at bedtime and 10mg of Adderall around noon. I've been taking these for 2 months. I feel fine. Are these low doses safe since I take them 12 hours apart?

351317 tn?1204751871 Celexa can be taken at night and is rather safe.
1518427 tn?1294365021 We all respond differently to these types of medications, and what one experiences may not be what another does. I take Celexa and Klonopin with excellent results. There is a period of adjustment when starting an antidepressant, and it takes 4-6 weeks to feel the full benefit of it. Hope this helps and take care!
Avatar f tn I'm adhd and GAD I am currently on adderal and celexa has been added. I hate antidepressant medications because they make me manic. Does anyone have this problem? Im thinking I may have a little bipolar even though my pdoc said he didn't see any signs.
Avatar f tn I also take celexa and wellbutrin for depression and adderal was introduced because i was becoming depressed again feeling unmotivated and frankly lethargic....i worry i am doing a "bad" thing to my head....any feedback would be appreciated....
Avatar n tn I am on Adderall and was on effexor. I have tried every depression and anxiety med that there is out there. I finally figured out that I do not need the depression meds since I am no longer depressed. He originally gave me the depression med for post partum which was 11 years ago. None of the meds worked. I was more tired and moody and gained too much weight. I have tried many different ADD meds as well. What kind of Adderall are you on (adderall or adderall xr)?
Avatar f tn I currently take Levothyroxine 88mcg(μg) in the morning and 2 doses of Adderall (instant release, not XR) 20mg - one in the morning before classes and the second one whenever I need it depending on my classes that day or things I need to work on. I also later added Celexa 20mg which helped a lot with the anxiety and mood swings - especially from the "crash" of the Adderall. But with ADD meds, no one can tell you what will work best for you, or what dosage, before you try it.
1746489 tn?1311515586 anyways i then stop the medication, which i had no problem stopping at all since i slowly went from two 20 mg of adderall a day for each 8 hours class in the morning and night. To one pill and day, to one pill every other day, till nothing at all. SO don't think it's like taking (CRACK COCAINE) and almost impossible to stop.
Avatar m tn Then, about 2 ½ years ago I had a near-psychotic meltdown, mostly about the devil and evil spirits, and was diagnosed with OCD and prescribed Anafranil and Zyprexa, which helped with the irrational thinking and obsessive thoughts a little. Between now and then, I have been diagnosed with OCD, Social anxiety disorder, GAD, major depressive disorder, ADHD, and most recently, aspergers/high functioning autism.
Avatar n tn I have been taking Celexa and adderall together for about a year now and things have been working great. My only problem has been the sexual side-effects which have made my sex drive almost nothing. Because I entered into a serious relationship within these past couple months my doctor and I started discussing potential drugs that would increase my libido. She suggested Buspar. However, I have only been taking Buspar for two days and feel like it is having a counteractive affect on my adderall.

506259 tn?1228788619 So, suddenly I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, taken off the lamictal and effexor I was taking in place of the Adderall, put on depakote, celexa, clonazepam, trazadone, and cymbalta, then told that Adderall is not a pain medication and I should never have been on it in the first place. Well, I trusted her, but I started feeling the absolute worst I ever had in my life, both mentally and physically.
Avatar m tn I realize now I never look people in the eyes I never looked at their lips while they were moving and miss so many social cues because my head was always racing. Adderall has allowed me to discover this. However I am concerned because I am taking a benzodiazepine an opiate and an SSRI. Should I be? In your opinion.
Avatar f tn I am to the point where I take the ADHD stimulants, (VYVANSE - 70 mgX1 or 2, or 3 during the day) and/or Adderall. This is obvious signs of drug addiction/dependency/abuse. I know. Again - Without ADHD medications or antidepressants I still feel as terrible as I do while taking the ADHD medications. I understand this seems like I am being impossible, but I really cannot help but express what I have been feeling and thinking for the past who knows how long. Everything I say is completely true.
428176 tn?1205555587 Serequel really helped me. I have ADHD too so after 4 months on Serequel, they put me on Strattera first. I still seemed spaced out. Then I begged for Adderall after taking 3 30mg for 3 days my girlfriend got for me as a test. The Adderall has made me a different person. I use to be called ADD boy by my friends parents. LOL The only thing I have to watch is my blood pressure. I'm 42 and the adderall has the reverse affect as that of a normal person. It calms and focuses me.
Avatar n tn Have you considered anti depressant meds instead? It may be helpful to talk to someone professional who can help you learn to cope with the anxiety also.
Avatar f tn s not my prescription), for a couple months now, and on and off for most of a year. My dose and dependency level are both higher than they have been in the past, and I'm planning to start a family, so I need to quit, and I've scheduled winter vacation to do that. However, as of the last time I stopped (lost access for a short time), I tend to become delusional and depressed to the point of suicidality when I'm in withdrawal from the stuff.
Avatar n tn The adderall works great, improves my mood(without any euphoria), slows down racing thoughts, and just gives me a feeling of contentment. I have tried both the adderall xr and ir, and both give me a terrible rebound anxiety/depression. Although this can be really bad I still find myself taking it just to get through the day. I have tried 3 SSRIs (selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors) and everytime have had the same reactions within a matter of days.
Avatar n tn I am on 60mg of Celexa and was wondering the best way to taper off. I have a psychiatrist and he is aware. He told me we'll keep going down 10mg per month, but from what I've been reading that doesn't seem to be the correct way. I have been feeling nauseous and have a horrible headache on the left side of my head, it's only the 3rd day I've been on 50mg. Any suggestions?
Avatar f tn And adderall can cause anxiety and stress.Along with other very bad side effects. If you have stress and anxiety already you shouldn't be taken something that can cause you to have even more of it along with other side effects that have cause sudden death and heart problems and even stroke and seizures. and seizures can be brough on by stress and anxiety. the doctors should try you on things like ,zoloft or celexa and there are many other drug you can try.
11487567 tn?1418754128 My daughter was prescribed zoloft (sertraline) 25 mg, celexa 10 mg, and lexapro 5 mg to take all together. When picking up her prescription, the pharmacist questioned the prescribing doctors mix saying that taking all three could cause serotonin syndrome. My daughter started out on the zoloft at half dose for a week, then went to 25 mg, then added celexa and lexapro a few weeks later. She is now at week 16 but seems to be doing fine except for she can't get rid of a flu.
Avatar m tn Im 26 and have been taking adderall for a couple years. I get 60 pills a month. Im suppose to take 2 10mg pills a day every month I get my prescription and I take them all over a course of 1 week. Ive always had depression problems and major anxiety. I dont have adhd problems, I think its a combo of depression and anxiety. When I take them for that week it seems to get rid of my problems, but also kills my senses and emotions. It puts my mind into zombie mode and I feel like a ghost.
