489786 tn?1255692879 I called my drugstore (CVS) this morning to have my armour of 120 mg refilled. They told me it was on backorder from the manufacturer and they were not getting a ship date from them. They told me they had other mg. but not this one. Has anyone else had this happen? Truly, this is the LAST thing I need right now!
535882 tn?1396576685 A lot of people on another board was also having a hard time getting NP as it was on backorder. This was in July. I don't take it-just caught my eye. She called Acella and they said: "I spoke with my connection at Acella Pharmaceuticals this morning. He said they are definitely scheduled to ship end of July. He also said that most pharmacists will permanently remove a drug from their warehouse inventory list if it is back ordered for longer than six weeks.
Avatar n tn I was able to get Armour up until October at Rite Aid. For November, I could not get it. I am glad I renewed every 23 days, as this allowed me over the years on Armour to have a few months extra supply. Unfortunately some of it is the new formuka and from what I'm seeing I don't do as well on it. Right now, there's a backorder on it, but I don't plan on going back on it. I plan on switching to Nature-throid once that comes out of backorder.
186737 tn?1269884660 I have problems with temperature regulation and also painful neuropathy and bad joints. I also tend to pass out when I change position and all that fun stuff. One incredibly annoying problem is that I sweat like there is no tomorrow. On a humid 95 degree day i'll be the one drenched in sweat, shivering, and wondering why everyone is sitting under a tree. This past summer I started taking propantheline and found myself feeling closer to normal than I ever remember feeling.
Avatar f tn What should I do?? My mail-in prescription service is telling me the manufacturer cannot supply Lomedia 24fe right now (this has been going on since January). I just called a few pharmacies and they said the same - "it's on backorder". I love this birth control and I'm worried I wont be able to get it in time. What are some other options that are just like Lomedia 24fe???? Does anyone know if this is being discontinued?? I'll be so upset!
Avatar f tn I was diagnosed with papillary cancer on June 4th when undergoing a total thyroidectomy....have been waiting for my RAI ablation treatment since then but Thyrogen is on backorder...my question is whether or not there is any risk to my health from being on this low iodine diet for so long while I wait until the Thyrogen comes in...it has been 6 weeks now, and no idea how much longer.
1099201 tn?1338180918 Recently I changed thryoid meds to compounded because wp has been on backorder. My monthly cycles came back is that a good sign or not. They had been absent for awhile. Since I and my naturopath changed thyorid meds, diet and add vitamin d and iron. Also what do you to allievate monthly cramps.
Avatar f tn Crazy, I have been hearing about shortages for at least the last two years.
Avatar f tn I stopped taking acyclovir in December 2011. I have had numerous outbreaks like once a month or every couple of months. I have had HSV2 four years and four months now. My last outbreak was maybe eight weeks ago. Shouldn't my outbreaks decrease since I have had the virus for some time.I would like to know is that too many outbreaks to be experiencing.
Avatar m tn i started taking acyclovir a few days ago for the first time for a mild cold sore breakout. 2 days after i started, the cold sores got more intense, and 2 new huge cold sores came up out of nowhere. i have 3 more days left of the medication, and i'm going to keep taking it, but what should i do? these cold sores are not going away, and it seems like its getting worse! so done with these friggin things...
Avatar m tn Like most I cannot afford Valtrex any more. I have switched to Acyclovir. I've used it effectively for the couple of outbreaks but it seems to be taking considerably longer. I am taking L-Lysene as a suppressor and only take the Acyclovir at the first sign of an outbreak. I was taking 1000mg Valtrex at onset and then 500mg twice a day and everything was clear in 3 days. To get the same effectiveness from Acyclovir how much should I be taking daily during out breaks?
1302779 tn?1287405029 the doses you take for recurrences do tend to give the headaches :( do you take advil or anything along with the acyclovir knowing that it's likely to cause you to get a headache?
Avatar m tn Does Acyclovir make anyone else feel completely terrible? I get terrible headaches, dizzy, diarrhea and feel just awful. im not sure which is worse sometimes.
9267525 tn?1410816471 I'm 30 weeks pregnant and I work at a Tilted Kilt. At the end of May, my manager said he was ordering me the maternity top and would call me once it came in. I checked in almost weekly and they said they didn't have it until mid July because it was on "backorder" I've been extremely patient, yet I have not had a shift since May.
Avatar f tn I actually stood there while she called her supplier and she was told its on backorder. I also went to other pharmacies and got the same story. I am on the 22mcq and I have to.use autoject and so they had some.if the 44 but that wouldnt work. Rebif said they might be ahmedabad to send me a titrate band to use on 44mcq and be able to autoject. Now.I am told.pharmacies r finding the 44 is on backorder too so that's not an option. I feel like.I am having a nightmare!
Avatar f tn Many people feel much when taking both T-4 and T-3 and are low on T-3 as well. There are many T-4/T-3 drugs on the market. Armour, I believe is on backorder but not discontinued. But there are others such as Westhroid and Naturethroid available which I know you can get.I hope that help a little. Take care.
Avatar n tn Acyclovir is always 2x/day for suppressive therapy. You can not take acyclovir just 800mg 1x/day. It's not effective that way. Call your provider up and question that dose. If they say that that dose works too -ask them to please cite the research that backs that. I guarantee you they can't provide any that shows that 800mg once a day is effective for acyclovir!! do you have hsv1 or hsv2 genitally? How about orally - which one?
Avatar m tn Greatly simplified - you swallow valtrex and your body converts it into acyclovir inside the body. You get more active acyclovir available to kick a little herpes butt by doing it this way. That's why you take valtrex less often. We don't have studies to confirm that acyclovir reduces transmission the same amount as valtrex does but we assume it does. http://racoon.com/herpes/v_a_compare.htm this table comes directly from the valtrex full prescribing info.
Avatar m tn My guess would be because you get less active acyclovir in your body with plain ole acyclovir than you do valtrex but we have no studies to back this assumption.
Avatar m tn acyclovir is 400mg 2x/day every single day. she will still get recurrences while on daily suppressive therapy regardless of if she's on acyclovir or valtrex, you just take acyclovir more often than you do valtrex.
Avatar f tn s and viral shedding, the once daily doses of acyclovir were not effective. the half life of acyclovir is very short and just taking it daily is not enough to keep the virus under control adequately.
