I am having stroke like symptoms; my left leg drags, my speach is well..not making light of it I sound like Forrest Gump, my left arm as little to no strength in it, I have migraine headaches on a daily basis, and the newest thing is I started having uncontrolable muscle spasms in my right side. I am unable to work, drive and doing daily activities is a struggle.
Avatar m tn And stress the fact that the infection does go away with medication, but comes back rather quickly and stress the number of cases of tonsilitis you've had. Best of luck and I hope you feel better!
Avatar f tn ve had symptoms that could fall under acute stress disorder, panic disorder, general anxiety disorder, and depression. Sometimes the symptoms can fit in one catagory and then switch over to a different catagory. For example, in the past I've had frequent panic attacks throughout the day. Overtime, I've found triggers (more trivial than life threatening) for some while others just happen. Majority of the symptoms began after 2 years of profound stress.
Avatar f tn the neurological disorder, it just means that you have controlled it so successfully that you have stopped all acute attacks. Control of the disorder should be the goal of every patient and doctor. It is up to the researchers to find cures at the moment. Just like with diabetes, asthma and epilepsy, we can use a combination of life-style changes and medications to prevent acute attacks. We can also use medications to abort acute attacks.
Avatar f tn I have Large Granular Lymphocyte Disorder which is in remission. In it's acute form it has caused much the same problems as leukaemia but my blood cells were distroyed by my own immune system rather than a cancer. The diagnosis took years and had been previously labelled "Red Cell Aplasia" of unknown cause. I have never met or known of anyone with the same problem, and there was nor had ever been a patient in the large teaching hospital which I attend.

She is feeling extremely weak and keeps on lying on bed whole day and does not like to talk to persons even. Her palpitation also significantly increases even with small movement.
Avatar m tn t sleep more than 2 hours a night. I have been dignosed with Conversion Disorder, Post Tramatic Stress Disorder and Acute Anxiety Disorder. I am not allowed to work, drive....daily activities are becoming more and more difficult. Before March 4th I was a normal 33yr. old mother of 1, worked 50 hours a week, cleaned my house, drove my car like I stole it, cooked, did laundry.......You know all the things that we all take for granite!
Avatar n tn Nobody but sufferers appreciate the absolute horror of sleep paralysis. A lot of us get it very occasionally. I sympathise with you fully as I get it most nights sometimes twice a night, and it is always terrifying. I just get the paralysis, but the other sensations are also very common in many people. What has happened is that your mind has woken or continues to be awake as your body enters a sleep state.
Avatar f tn What is canal? As to above, there's no being for or against medication, and nobody knows the cause of anxiety but it doesn't have anything to do with "the nerves." It has to do with neurotransmitters and hormones acting in too strong a fashion, probably from miscommunication with a part of the brain called the amygdyla. What you should do is the least invasive approach that works.
Avatar m tn This is a serious disorder, it is a chronic illness that may get worse with infection or other physical stress. However, this can be controlled with medication, lifestyle changes, and treatment of any underlying disorder. Close monitoring from your husband doctor is highly recommended. Take care and do keep us posted.

Avatar m tn Recently I had a severe pain in my rigt and middle of my chest on 4th Dec 2010 while i was playingTT and got urgent medication immediately and diagnosed asAcute Myocardial Infraction. Later on 7th Angio was done and found that Mid LAD has 50% lesion in 20 to 25 mm length. The lesion morphology was type B2 with moderate thrombus in it. Doctors advised Medical Treatment and prescribed blood thinners (Asprin and Clopidogrel) and also advised CBC platelets in every 3 months.
Avatar n tn The Depakote could be the result of your issue you are having with the Lamictal as stated below. I have also provided some iformation on Lamictal stating that the side effect from can be mild or severe, temporary or permanent. I would consult your doctor imediatly seeing as that he could be the only one who could tell you if it's permanent. I'm not sure if stress could cause the Lamictal to cause this effect, but stress may be a part in the blurred vission. I wish you luck.

452529 tn?1361847855 But again, I was stressed. Could stress be over-riding the medication? My psych. is putting me on Zoloft when I go back on 4/25. I can't understand at 46 I have started hanging re-occurring seizures. I am also scared to death about going off the medications that made helped me be seizure free for so many years.
Avatar m tn I recently had a mid-level heart attack, am being treated with medication only, but experience chest pressure whenever I walk any distance. I am scheduled for a sonogram in 2 months time.
1126790 tn?1268014605 I've had what is presumable panic disorder for the past two years now, and today seems to be particularly bad. Earlier, I started to feel tingly all over, and when I noticed it, I went into a short panic attack (chest discomfort, extreme fear, urge to leave the place, etc). Now the tingling sensation won't go away, and I feel somewhat dizzy. My heartrate is fine, there are no mental changes in the slightest, and my legs feel slightly weak still, like I was just scared quite badly.
