Actos for free

Common Questions and Answers about Actos for free

1236243 tn?1277680851 I've been on Actos for 9 years and have no problems. Avandia is effectively off the market but ACTOS was not removed. The diabetic educator should know better that suggest someone get off a drug. Suggesting that he/she contact their M.D. was a good idea, but not necessarily required, unless the 'one man in the class' is having noticable adverse side-effects. Rumor monger statements and posts like this one are more scary than it actually should be.
Avatar m tn Thanks for the tip. Already do that. Just looking for an opinion from someone that has switched times and what results were. Thanks again.
489891 tn?1209058786 My question is y are you taking byetta and actos+met... and I'm on topamx, but for seizures... I'm also on actos plusmet 15/500 just once a day, with a insulin pump ( i take apidra in my pump)... byetta and actos plus met are very similar drugs doing the same thing.. the actos+met will make you gain weight very quickly. How many shots of byetta are you taking a day a long with the actos plus met? and what dose of actos are you taking and why...
Avatar f tn But things do not stabilize overnight. Check into the Actos thing and be patient for the stabilizing vision if that is not the answer.

2053416 tn?1330411192 Due to a lot of weight gain. My doctor took me off actos and put me on glumetza. I also take glipizide. The gulmetza does not seem to be working for me. My sugars are in the 200 + - range. Is there another generation 1 or 2 diabetes medicine that I can take with the glipizide that will work as good as the actos did and not cost so much? I would like to get off the glumetza. I am really thinking about asking the doctor to put me back on insulin (novolin R). Thank you for your input.
Avatar n tn The medicines she takes cause her chest pain, shortness of breath, and make her dizzy. Her blood pressure checks out ok, but is the medicine for the blood pressure causing this pain. Some days she is ok and other days the pain comes in the morning and lasts all day. Of all the medecines she takes which is most likely the culprit. Is there any alternatives.
178107 tn?1315947630 Actos made my appetite surge and I gained 20 lbs with combo Actos/Lantus. I went off Actos but still inject 20 units in evening. BS fast is 215. I do not EAT wrong.
Avatar m tn [copy/paste] "For reasons still not identified, the long-term use of Actos weakens the respiratory tract’s immunity. This results to throat and respiratory infections like sore throat, sinusitis, coughs, and colds." Use with caution if you have heart issues. Also, Avandia is the other drug that falls into this classification. The FDA warns not to use Avandia for first time users, in fact, the FDA severely restricts its use.
1523195 tn?1291322372 When my Doc perscribed Actos for me it made me swell up with fluid right away. In 2 weeks I gained 15 pounds. He had me stop it and I lost it right away. Becareful and watch for any swelling. Also a low carb diet helps alot.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your suggestions. I have a hospital near me that has a free program. I made an appointment for Thursday. Hopefully, they will be able to run some tests and help me long term. I will keep you posted.
Avatar f tn This obviously will result in low levels of Free T3 and Free T4. To find out, you need to test for Free T3 and Free T4, along with TSH each time you go in for followup. If the doctor resists, then you should insist on it for the above reasons, and don't take no for an answer. Since hypothyroid patients are frequently low in other areas as well, I suggest that you should also test for Vitamin A, D, B12 and ferritin.
Avatar n tn I currently take glimepiride 4mg twice daily and actos 15mg once daily. What is the sucess of these two meds. I continue to have high blood sugar levels.
Avatar f tn Ask for Actos, I took it for my tyoe II. There are other medications too, talk to your doctor.
Avatar m tn I would suggest you talk to your doctor about these readings and have him give you the correct medication to control your blood sugar. 170 is very high for a fasting blood sugar.
