Then I realized I can control it with oral drugs, so I changed insuline to actoplus and metformin 15/850 twice a day. Now, my A1C has been keeping at range 5.8-6.2 for the past 2 years. I read some paper about MODY a few days ago. Now I am worrying about if I have MODY. I am 29 now. I am the only one with diabetes in my family history. I am overweighted and my BMI is 2.75. Both actoplus and metformin work very well for me. Will you please give me any advice if I should go to do MODY tests?

I too was concerned about changing when nothing was wrong except price. Effexor XR was going to cost me cash price for 120 caps of 75mg--$550.00+. Couldn't do. The Pristiq he said was A purifies form of Effexor with the side effects (bad) removed. My only problem is a slight headache, but that could be fron number of things. It is only $132.00. If you are taking the Effexor XR you need to continue with it.the same dosage. The XR means it has an extended release and you get a leveled dose all day long. Changing to a regular form of effexor/venlafaxine would give you a one-time shot of the drug. I can't help with the pricing. Good Luck!

My medication is considerably higher than mine? Can you explain why? My blood sugar was running abot 137 so my Doctor also put me on Actoplus as well. My Lipitor is about $100 and my wife's Simvastatin is about $6 (same quantity of tables-30). Why should my wife be taking medication with her levels being slightly higher than the desired mid-point?

What I wanted to say, though, is that yes, the retail price of the MS drugs is outrageous. 33f, DM 2, Been taking Metformin XR 500mg 2 pills x2 a day. Started phentermine after trying invonkana, and trulicity to bring my a1c down. Mid January 2017 I started the phentermine. Towards the end of February 2017 I had ketones in my urine and was in ketosis. I was excercisin religiously and watching my carb intake.i was eating between 100 to 150gms of carbs. I was not on a ketogenic diet. After that visit i have been extremely ill. Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.

Because unless Wyeth releases the drug at a lower price point than Effexor XR (which is highly unlikely), Pristiq will have to prove itself as more than just another antidepressant. IMO sometimes the older AD meds work better, although most of them do have a higher occurance of side effect. Some people are more resistant to AD meds than other. Why this is so is not fully understood.

My new doctor changed my prescriptions from regular Met to Met XR and added 2mg of Glimepiride. My BG's have been above 300 for last few months and nothing seems to get them down. Hi, I'm currently on vacation and I was running out on my Alprazolam (Brand: Restyl SR) that I normally take and I met with a doctor here today and got a prescription for it. It's the Alprazolam XR (Greenstone brand). I've usually been taking 0.5 mg 3 times a day which is a 1.5 mg every day, and upon getting this I'm prescribed to take 0.5 mg 2 times a day, which brings it to a 1 mg.

I went to the pdoc and told him I was interested in trying the new Pristiq, he said it was longer lasting, which is a good thing in my book, but he said thats all he knows about the drug, I was stunned he didnt know any other information!!! So he told me to just stop taking my Effexor xr of .75mg x 3 pills a day and start taking pristiq .

The generic is about the cost of aspirin (well a bit more but in that price range) and I take Warfarin. I started on Toprol XR then Metorprolol SR, now Metoprolol which I take twice a day (12 hours). Warfarin is just once a day. All generics work for me, or work as well. They do not stop my AFib, but I haven't yet had a clot or stroke, that's good results. You cardiologist should let you give the generic a try.

I little surprised but happy. I take Klonopin as needed which I have stopped. I also take effexor xr. Up until 3 days ago I was on 150mg daily. Three days ago I started the 75 mgs. There really is nothing that needs being done about it. It's no secret that SNRI drugs such as Effexor, Pristiq, and Cymbalta do have a higher risk of what is called Discontinuation Syndrome. SSRI's can also be nasty buggers to discontinue. Paxil being one of many. I hear a lot of people complain about antidepressant Discontinuation Syndrome, but I never hear then speak of the flip side. I used to take Effexor XR at 300Mgs a day for about 4 years.

After reading everything written on here I'd figure I'd share my two cents. What I wanted to know is, what kind of price should I be expected to hear if I wanted to get all of that done? It would be for the cleaning, pulling, filling, replacing, and braces. Also should I be worried about the brown spot? And my last question is, should I apply towards dental insurance or could New Mexico medicaid cover all the expenses?
