Avatar f tn So I'm pregnant with my 2nd baby and I'm 14 weeks, acne has been one of the biggest problems I've had so far(besides heartburn),my face gets so sensitive I could barely touch it at times. My wedding ceremony is in a couple weeks I'm not praying for a miracle ( well yea im) lol, anyone one knows of anything that I could use that would help?
Avatar f tn t safe while pregnant but confirm by reading the labels! Apparently charcoal soap is amazing for acne.. I think you can get it at Walmart.
Avatar f tn I know it sounds weird, but Apple cider vinegar is a great facial rinse. You can research it. I use that and it helps a lot.
Avatar f tn Hey guys Im 23w&6d"s & I woke up with SEVERE ACNE !!!! I never had acne before and I can't use everything on my face because of eczema but now my eczema face cream not working.. Any advice???
7613739 tn?1392614422 ve been using Sulfur Soap to calm the looks of the rash and help prevent it from spreading but I feel like the rash is going to develop immunity to it. It does itch bad especially when it's dry but I'd like to treat it like althletes feet because dark, heat, and moisture could very well help it survive. I'm thinking about taking cold showers instead of steamy showers because what if the scabies or what ever that is digs itself deeper into the skin to avoid getting boiled out...
Avatar n tn I havent visited a dermatologists since I think it will just go away maybe let the skin heal since the past few weeks I have been washing my face with sulfur as prescribed by my dermatologist for the control of acne and oil. I have been so scared what could this be? should I worry I have very sensitive skin. what can i put?
Avatar n tn You can take the capsules and mix with lotion or take the MSM powder and brush it through your hair. You can also take them orally as stated on the bottle. I also have soap with sulfur. I shower every night using the sulfur soap, then apply lotion with MSM added and put MSM on my brush and get it in my hair. In the morning I reapply lotion with MSM and put more in my hair. Make sure to apply ALL OVER your body. Do not spare any places.
Avatar m tn The dermatologist recommended a salicylic based acne medication. After a few days of not working, I am trying Clearasil with a 3% sulfur base. I don't even know if this is for sure safe for children. She has had whiteheads and some blackheads and also white little bumps under the skin which look like milia but which the dermatologist said are acne. She always had a little pubic hair but this has grown much more since her 6th birthday. She is normal height and 42 pounds.
Avatar n tn Try using t gel by neutrogena, that does sound like psorosis. T gel is very helpful, and it's not expensive I use it because I get acne on my scalp from using hair spray And it works wonders even though it is made for psorosis. It's main ingredient is coal tar so it doesn't smell pleasant but it's worth a try. Also if you had lice you'd see it crawling.
Avatar f tn I use neutrogina acne bar soap works so well and doesnt dry out my skin:)
1630773 tn?1299747792 A mild soap or soap substitute, such as Dove or Cetaphil should be used for washing. Scrubbing should be avoided. Doxycycline is the preferred antibiotic for perioral dermatitis but minocycline can also be used. In unresponsive and granulomatous forms, oral isoterinoin may also be considered. Pimecrolimus cream can also be used. I suggest you to consult a dermatologist and discuss these treatment options with your dermatologist.
Avatar f tn I'm 7 weeks now and having acne on my jawline and chin. Its lot of tiny ones and its kinda frustrating. Is it safe to.use 2.5% benzoyl peroxide ointment twice daily?
Avatar n tn Razor burn- only shave down there with fresh blades, and moisturize Acne- wash down there with unscented soap. Or an antibacterial soap (DO NOT DOUCHE, in general, but particularly with that soap) my gyno recommend hibiclens, which you can get at CVS in the first aid section Ingrown hairs- everyone's got a trick for these. Try not shaving, washing well, and even acne medication(Used sparingly) Cysts- see a doctor, but that's really probably not it.
Avatar f tn acnes (bacteria important in pathogenesis of acne) is resistant to erythromycin and the tetracycline-class of antibiotics that are often prescribed to patients with acne. Clinical data presented by the manufacturer are promising. I look forward to reading more scientific articles as they become available. However, if your daughter has moderate acne, there are quite a few topical therapeutic options available before you move to oral therapy.
Avatar n tn Yes, it's safe. As long as it's a mild soap. If you have problems with Acne you may want to use a face wash that's geared towards people with Acne problems. Shaving cream is great to use for shaving, and there ARE types with lotions in them. But you can also get a "shaving lotion". as long as you put a good amount on the skin so that the razor doesn't brush the skin too hard it should work. Check with your doctor to make sure its alright.
Avatar f tn I haven't really struggled with acne since junior high. I had a little pregnancy acne with my first son during my first trimester, but it went away and my skin was gorgeous. I'm 9 weeks along in my second pregnancy and I am so embarrassed of my face right now. Not only did I recently get braces put on my teeth at age 25, but my face is breaking out and taking forever to clear up!
Avatar f tn I was told by the Dr not to use any acne creams or washes. I had very bad pregnancy acne, so I now wash with a mild soap like ivory twice a day and wet some cotton with peroxide and wipe my face with it and it cleared up my acne and has kept it away. Mine was severe too.
492921 tn?1321289896 I have never had an acne problem. I get the usual 4 or 5 about a week before AF is due. This month my face broke out with the normal 4 or 5 zits about 2 weeks before AF and then today 6 days after AF arrived. I'm still bleeding and my face is a mess. It seriously looks like pepperoni pizza. I use my face wash and it doesn't help. Anyone else notice a difference with this after a m/c? I had gorgeous skin the whole time I was pregnant.....
Avatar n tn t heal), this new dermatologist said he thinks it is simply adult acne, and prescribed Sulfacetamide Sodium-Sulfur Wash and clindamycin phosphate gel. That treatment of washing and using that gel did no better than using the bactorban in clearing the lesion up-still had it 3 weeks later for my wedding day. Problem is, neither treatment seems to work. I have a new lesion-this guy is different, it started the same, but it has spread sideways sort of.
Avatar n tn i have a acne problem what type soap i can use and what type of cream i can use and also tell food treatments for that
Avatar m tn The ketoconazole burned my skin and didnt help, and the zinc soap does not help much either. I came back to her and she confirmed it is adult acne and some kind of dermatitis which cannot be cured. Dermatologist told me to try vegetarian diet and drink a lot of water, cut out carbs, sugar, diary. But this did not help. She tell me isotretinoin will most likely help my skin but the side effects are too dangerous so she is refusing to prescribe.
435985 tn?1249067908 I seem to break out during my pregnancies and I remember when I was pregnant with my son my doctor told me it was ok to use over the counter acne medication, like Clearasil. I have been using Clearasil a little bit this time around, but I feel like there are mixed messages about using OTC acne creams. What has anyone done about acne during pregnancy?
