1157646 tn?1343967128 Thanks for your input, I add vitamin E to my regular skin moisturiser anyway so it does get vitamin E twice a day. Thank you!!
Avatar n tn This may be readily managed using vitamin E creams and bleaching creams given that the acne has resolved and there are no breaks on the skin. Does this apply to what you have?
Avatar n tn t have a lot of money... I heard that uh, Vitamin E oil is good for healing up scars... I also heard that Vitamin E can screw/damage something up on your skin, so you have to fast it off asap when you do use it? I don't know. Is there any cream that I can buy like at Walgreens or Albertsons that make it fade quicker or should I just buy Vitamin E?
883279 tn?1244102594 Hi, if you would like to use a natural product to help fade acne scarrring or repair sun damaged skin, then look for an oil that has Vitamin E (or even break open a Vitamin E capsule and smear it into the damaged skin). My favourite is Jojoba Oil which is high in Vitamin E and suitable for all skin types.
Avatar f tn hi DR, thanks very much. most forum says negative about chicken pox scarring but these website has positive response. thank you all. my daugter is using vitamin E cream. also calamine as i heard zinc oxide in calamine is soothing even after lesion are healed. i work in a college where some dr. study one friend who is a dr said she will improve with given time. so to all who have chicken pox there is hope in the end of the tunnel.
Avatar m tn thank you for your concern but some how some way my eye has miraculousy cleared up and i can see fine now. when i first left the doctors office it was blurry and stayed blurry for a few days. I read on the net that Vitamin E & C was good for the eyes so i immediately bought some OJ and Vitamin E tablets. Dont know if that helped but i see fine now.
Avatar f tn I suggest you to consult your operating and then only stop using them. After that, moisturize and massage the area with Vitamin E oil or light weight moisturizer to accelerate healing and reduce scarring. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps.

Avatar f tn For acne, you may want to consider taking low dose of zinc and vitamin E, such as Gluzin and Toco VE. You can find out more at www.extremev.com. After consulting with his dermo, my son, in his mid-20's have had bad acne all his life. He has been on a 25 mg daily dose of zinc and 1 softgel of VE for the last six months. His face has cleared up tremendously! Also, you may have already heard of watching what you eat and exercise! But I'd agree with Dr.
Avatar n tn OMG. Please help. I did something really stupid about 3 weeks ago. I had 2 annoying dark flat moles on my face and I was putting some bleaching creme on them for about 2 weeks. This produced no results so I then came up with the bright idea to scratch them off which I was successful at doing. They scabbed but as soon as it the scabs fell off, one mole is now darker and the other is kind of a light brown reddish hue that looks like a pimple scar!!! It's also cratered a little.
Avatar m tn Hi. Vitamins A, C and E and zinc may benefit the complexion. However, when you eat your body delivers nutrients to your other organs such as heart and brain, before your skin. Therefore, a good diet does not always result in glowing skin. Exfoliating to remove dead skin is very helpful. I recommend using a good cleanser and exfoliator like the Perfectly Clean range from Estee Lauder. Clarins make a cleanser and exfoliator in one with orange extract.
Avatar f tn t eat meat what is the bast way to get enough B12. Also I had problem with acne and my dermatologist told me that B12 supplements can cause acne? Now I don't feel comfortable taking supplements but I also don't want to get low on B12 again.
Avatar f tn I stopped getting them 2 yrs after but have been left with horrendous scarring and i am now 22 y/o. I have tried Bio-oil, Exfoliating and massaging Cocoa butter even tanning every summer and still nothing has worked they fade about 5% at the most with tanning but they are still Dark an extremely noticable. Is there anything else you could possibly recommend to help me with this. I know they can only ever fade but fading to great extent would be bloody brilliant. Thanks Self conscious!!
Avatar n tn What would you recommend I do? I have some residual scarring from my previous acne, and pigmentation has only recently evened out, so I'm fairly anxious that the situation doesn't develop further. Is it in any way normal to have a couple zits at a time even after a 'succesful' course of accutane? And if not, what would a dermatologist consider for someone in my situation -- assuming that the acne doesn't progress massively beyond the current level.
Avatar n tn I just got back from the Derm today and he reviewed my skin and he said that my acne redness is scarring.. Now i thought scarring is indentions in the skin? Is it not and that acne redness will fade with time because according to my derm he said that my acne redness is scarring and that the redness wont go away and that theres nothing that can be done about it. He said that i'll have to live with it for the rest of my life and that the only possible treatment for this is laser.
Avatar m tn Hello, Regarding the penile scarring, the area is very delicate for any of the creams or laser treatment. Apply vitamin E for some days. But there is no such confirmed safe treatment for the delicate skin of penis. The indentations may need collagen filling. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor.
Avatar f tn Generally good scar treatments are vitamin E, pierce a vitamin E capsule and rub the oil into the scar. Another option which works well for me is Bio Oil. Rub the bio oil into the scar 2 times a day and usually within about 3 months the scar is alot fainter in colour and less red. But, both Vitamin E and Bio oil can only be applied when the scar does not have any areas where the wound is still open.
1155893 tn?1263018015 Hello, Tretinoin or Retin A is the acidic form of vitamin A. it is used for acne as well as post inflammatory hyperpigmentation caused by acne scars after acne. You can use it as advised by your dermatologist. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.
Avatar m tn But I saw my face got red and black acne spots. I asked her whether they could disappear or not and then she said yes. She gave me toner, vitamin e cream, and sensitive cream for me to apply on my face. After a period of time, I noticed my face haven't improved that much instead the situation even worse. I saw there is a facial promotion so I decided to do the second time.
Avatar f tn m six months now and have been using my own mixture of skin oils (vitamin E oil, olive oil, and bio oil) as well as vitamin E and allure Vera cream that comes in a jar from family dollar at $2 since I was 9 or 10 weeks and no stretch marks yet. Anything with vitamin E really works because that's what prevents scarring of the skin as stretch. The more you put into your skin the better so heavily moisturize 2-3 a day with any vitamin E you can get your hands on.
Avatar n tn Hi If these scars are shallow and if they come from an infectious skin condition, these scars should smoothen and improve in time. Apply vitamin E cream on the area, 3 times a day. This will help smoothen the skin and even out the appearance. However, topical moisturizers are only temporary and superficial in terms of effects. They may smoothen the surface but not totally eradicate scarring.
Avatar n tn Acne is a common condition that affects most people and some people develop severe acne that leads to permanent and sometimes disfiguring scarring. The term "scarring" refers to a process where collagen within the skin is damaged from inflammation, leading to permanent texture changes in the skin. Treatment of scarring may vary depending on the kind of scarring present. This can be assessed by a dermatologist.
Avatar f tn Does anyone know about the scarring after-effects of accutane? I've read several reports of scarring left after it's use. I'm sure that scars are to be expected, as with any open wound, but I don't know if these reports are by anyone with abnormalities with healing/scarring. Here is the situation... I have mild, maybe slightly moderate acne. I get keloids on other parts of my body, but thankfully not my face. I still get abnormal facial scarring though.
Avatar f tn I don't see why not, but, ask the pharmacist first to make sure. Also, there are some great Vitamin E liquids on the market, some, you can take orally or put directly on the skin, so, that might be an option as well, I use it on my skin, but the bottle says I can drink it too, so, it is really pure.
553275 tn?1215209547 t cause my skin to be more oily then before because reading your tip,i went to look for vitamin E cream and i found it on this website and it called vitamin E cream for night time. so you think i should buy it their online or can you tell me where to buy it please and thankyou again.
Avatar n tn Apply generous amounts of moisturizer eg vitamin E cream on the area. This may minimize the scarring and may help smoothen the area but will not readily revert skin to normal.
