I just got back from the Derm today and he reviewed my skin and he said that my acne redness is scarring.. Now i thought scarring is indentions in the skin? Is it not and that acne redness will fade with time because according to my derm he said that my acne redness is scarring and that the redness wont go away and that theres nothing that can be done about it. He said that i'll have to live with it for the rest of my life and that the only possible treatment for this is laser.

I consider this like my miracle cream. I somehow stumbled across this combination and it is fantastic. I literally have not had a zit since I started doing this. I have been getting large pimples over the last year or so. I will have one pop up every 6-8 weeks. Some of them turned into boils, maybe because of me picking at them, I'm not sure.
One of them on my lower back became a boil, this was about 2 months ago. After doing some internet searching, one of the websites recommended applying warm compresses to the boils to bring them to a head. When I tried this on my boil, it caused blisters to form all over the surrounding area.

I have mild, maybe slightly moderate acne. I get keloids on other parts of my body, but thankfully not my face. I still get abnormal facial scarring though.
i also have mild ice pick scarring and enlarged pores. i use acnecide 5% benzoyl peroxide gel every night for acne and yesterday night, i put on acnecide all over my fave and then put ambi fade cream with 2% hydroquione on top of it on my spots. i then put on aloe vera gel from holland and barretts as moisturiser. i woke up today morning with huge brown patches covering both my cheeks.my natural skintone is a golden tan colour and the patches are a much darker brown shade.
Or yes there was pain when applying force on them (the big red ones). At first I thought there was acne pimples, but when another 3 appeared, the one at the left leg-belly connection and the other 2 down the belt posiotion, I understood that I had to go to a dermatologist.
The doctor said that I had contagius moluscum and I had to remove them. So , another doctor removed them using a tweezer, and then applying iode.
Daughter wants to get a chemical peel for some acne scarring on her facial cheeks. She has been on antibiotics (too harsh on stomach), antibiotic topical cream, retin-A, you name it over the years. We even paid out of pocket for dermabrasion treatments several years ago. She is currently on the form of the Pill as well to help with the acne. There is some scarring, but not severe. She is a young woman and frustrated and wants a solution to this situation.

im not an ophthalmologist but i don't think there is. However, i do know that there are some procedures that can minimize it but some are still not approved.
hello just to let you know about my acne and acne scarring ! im over the moon i started getting micro dermabrasion and also using duac once daily cream and i havent had any breakouts and my skin is so smooth and only ever get one spot with pmt and periods im so happy because ive never had clear skin since i was like 11 !
I have the worst acne too. On the back, chest,cheeks. It's awful. I've tried witch hazel, stridex, cleaning multiple times a day. Nothing helps.

I've had the same spontaneous scarring since I was 23; I am now 30. Random divots, pockmarks, slight wrinkles. I had the little dots/pore-like lines connecting for a time, but it stopped. No real help is out there; most dermatologists or docs just brush it off as general acne scarring of just "aging." I've recently had very long, deep indentations at where nasolabial folds would form come out, out of nowhere.

I never wanted to really speak openly about my acne but after reading Sean and your story i want to warn all future accutane users to realize this is not a 100% quick fix also to realize the side affects of Roacutane (accutane). i have had acne since i was 12 I was put on this medication when i was 14 and am now 23 still with acne yes accutane will problably make your skin look the best it ever has, if you are lucky for a long time.
A couple of months ago I woke up to fing a pock mark on my cheek. I never had acne or any infection in that spot. Recently, on the other cheek I have noticed to tiny holes (like big pores). Now, I'm a nervous wreck wondering what will show up next. I've read about a rare disease that causes idiopathic cheek scarring; but I feel like the cortisone cream is the most logical cause.

Black spots associated with acne, may be due to a postinflammatory skin reaction secondary to the acne. Acne may cause scarring and darkening of the affected areas. This may be readily managed using vitamin E creams and bleaching creams given that the acne has resolved and there are no breaks on the skin. Does this apply to what you have?
Hi, a couple of months ago, as the title of this post sugests ive started to get some acne mainly on my upper back and now also on my shoulders too. Cant believe it how it looks now and how it used to look (i was clear, and even used to make fun of my sister's acne on her back!). Damn puberty... =p
What's the best product (cream or natural) that would get rid of these marks and acne effectively?
Is it normal to have breakouts every day? I'm 31 weeks today and I have had acne all over my chest, shoulders arms and lower jaw. Also is there a safe way to treat while pregnant? I'm so aggravated with the itchy skin and scarring left from the old bumps. It's not cute at all.
An acne cyst can appear similar to a nodule, but is pus-filled, and has been described as having a diameter of 5mm or more across. They can be painful. Again, scarring is common with cystic acne. Squeezing an acne cyst may cause a deeper infection and more painful inflammation which will last much longer than if you had left it alone. I stopped getting them 2 yrs after but have been left with horrendous scarring and i am now 22 y/o. I have tried Bio-oil, Exfoliating and massaging Cocoa butter even tanning every summer and still nothing has worked they fade about 5% at the most with tanning but they are still Dark an extremely noticable. Is there anything else you could possibly recommend to help me with this. I know they can only ever fade but fading to great extent would be bloody brilliant.
