I've had this bump on my nose for at least 3 years. It's skin colored and it doesn't hurt. I can't see pores on it, so trying to squeeze it doesn't help. I've been trying all sorts of treatments, and it doesn't seem to respond. Everytime I mention it to my mom, she always insists that it's a scar and that it'll eventually go away. It's been 3 years! She's so stubborn that she probably wouldn't let me go see a dermatologist.

My daughter has has a small red bump on her nose for the last five months. It does hurt but I am starting to become concerned and she hates the way it looks. What can I do to help her?

hey i wanted to know by the way i describe these bumps left on my nose from acne do u think its possibly cyst ? i hope not .. these bumps when i squeeze my nose do have whiteheads or something in them . also do you think the adult acnomel cream a good cream to try for my condition ? i hoping to get to a derm soon but im still a minor so its up to my guardians if i go or not .

For the past 1.5 years I have had a couple of little red bumps on my nose that refuse to go away (one on the tip and one on the nostril). In the last few months more bumps have begun to form that will not go away. They are not as red but are rather unsightly in the right light. One doctor prescribed Benzaclin and another doctor referred me to a dermatologist.

It will become sore on and off and, since it appeared, I tried to pop it on and off. I put OTC acne cream on it, convinced it was some kind of pervasive pimple. My opinion changed today when, randomly, sitting in lecture it began to bleed. It wasn't gushing, just oozing blood - it took about five, ten minutes to stop the bleeding. It was red after that, but now, several hours later, it's sore again.

I had a zit on my nose for four months. There is an area of imflammation, and my dermatologist said this is imflammation left over from the pimple, that will slowly fade. Does this make sense. He told me it was not a raised scar, because it wasn't scar tissue and it had wide open pore. Is it reasonable to believe this inflamation(looks like a bump, bubble) its soft, will fade?

Also, what are the risks of additional scarring? I am getting the procedure done on bumps on my nose. Here is my story: I plan to undergo electrocauterization on my nose soon. i am 16 years old and i have had a red mark on the end of my nose for several years now. It is slightly raised to the touch but appears flat. i do not experience any pain but it makes me feel very unattractive. i wonder if you know what it could be?

I have a reoccurring cyst on my nose and it's very annoying. It's usually a small bump that's flesh coloured but every so often, it'll turn into a large red annoying bump. I'm just making sure this is just a cyst. Is there anything I can do to make it not do that, or make it go away completely? Also, I have a tube of Fucidin cream. Would it be safe to use on my nose? I have had for the past 2 years small red bumps on my face in top of my nose, cheeks, around the nose, forehead, etc...I get red but not as much like other people. There are at least seven bright red swollen sore spots. With pressure they ooze bloody serous type secretion. I have put all kinds of acne meds on them, but they've been there for over a month. I'm way too old to be having this kind of thing.

Brevoxyl (4% benzoyl peroxide) has helped my acne, and seems to soften the sebum material. Takes a little time for your skin to tolerate it.

I went to a skin doctor yesterday, who told me it was a cyst, but not acne and because the nature of it (being enlarged and swollen) he put me on an anti-biotic called levaquin, one pill a day/for seven days. Then, he told me if that doesn't work, that I may have to go the emergency room and have it removed. I'm due to get my cobra insurance, so I may seek a second opinion if the levaquin fails to reduce the swelling.

Hi all, I'm a 19 year old male. Relatively healthy. When I got up this morning I noticed that there was some kind of bump on my back in the left shoulder area. It doesn't itch and is not painful, it looks a little raised but flat surface. It's just there and doesn't look like any pimple that I have had. I have this bump on my upper right arm. I've had it for about 4 years. If I squeeze it, a white puss like hard material comes out (somewhat like a pimple). When looking at this "bump", it actually looks like a crater, as there is a pin hole in the middle of it. Any idea what this is?

Hi to whom it may concern I had a boil or cyst on the right side of my nose and I was like the size of a golf ball and I really wanted it gone so I went to the med. and they cut into it and took some pus out. And now I have a scar from that and now like a year later it came back under my scar w a couple more boils around them. I also go out into the sun a lot so any advice on what to do? Within the last year I've had two black spots grow on my nose. I originally thought they were acne, but the discoloration has stayed many months later. Does anyone know what they are and if the skin will naturally or through treatment return to normal color? By the way, the second upper black spot arose several months after the first. First of all, I should mention that the cyst was an epidermal inclusion cyst a little under a centimeter in diameter on my upper lip between my mouth and my nose. About a week ago, I went to see an oral surgeon about removing it through my mouth. This is an aesthetically sensitive area, so I wanted to eliminate any chance of scarring. I went ahead with the surgery, and it worked out great. He took out the cyst, and you can't even tell it was there.

So a couple of days ago i realized there was this cyst type of pimple on my vaginal area on the skin. In a few days it blew up big & it reminded me of the acne i had on my face. its INSIDE the skin.
