It kind of resembles a pimple but for sure isnt and is sometimes a little more red some days. I need to know what this one dot on my face is so i can treat it. Can you help me out with a possible diagnostic of what is on my face. My best guess is a cluster of blood vessels or somthing along that line but would like to know some treatments.
m having a large holes/pores on my face because of pimples...i have taken doctors suggestions also..but also my pores on my face is not closing...by ichting my pimples only i got this holes on my face..now i'm not getting any pimples..but i'm having holes...so how can i reduce it...is there any treatment for this..i.e surgical/non surgical...wat is the cost of the surgery????plzzz reply me....and give any home remedy for closing/reducing the pores....
The old cyst was so heavy, it was pulling down the left side of my face; my original plan w/ this plastic surgeon was to remove the old cyst, then have a sort of mini "face lift" to even out the 2 sides of my face. Now, I've pretty much given up hope of that ever happening.
So - how to you permanently kill off oil glands FOREVER???

It can be due to a small sebaceous cyst. A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac occurring just under the skin which contains a "pasty" or "cheesy" looking substance called keratin. They may occur anywhere on body but scalp, ears, back, face, and upper arm, are common sites for sebaceous cysts.
I have had for the past 2 years small red bumps on my face in top of my nose, cheeks, around the nose, forehead, etc...I get red but not as much like other people. I used Elidel for 11/2 years and it worked great now I had to stop because of fear that it causes cancer. I have been using metrogel for 8 days but at first it was great and now my pimples are starting to come out again is that part of the process???
A sebaceous cyst is a closed sac or cyst below the surface of the skin which may affect the scalp, ears, back, face,and may occur anywhere on the body except the palms of the hands and soles of the feet. They are smooth to the touch, vary in size, and are generally round in shape. This may be caused by blocked sebaceous glands, swollen hair follicles, and excessive testosterone production. If they continue to grow, they may become unsightly, painful, or infected.
These most often arise from swollen hair follicles and are usually found on the face, neck, and trunk. Sebaceous cysts are not dangerous and can usually be ignored. Placing a warm moist cloth over the area may help the cyst drain and heal. In your case, injection with a steroid medicine usually reduces the swelling. A more permanent solution is by surgically removing the cyst. If not treated with antibiotics, these may form painful abscesses.

hello i have a question about my skin. in one spot on my face there is a pore that produces insane amounts of a white, waxy substance. it feels like a bump underneath my skin and with a little pressure i can squeeze out this white waxy film. there is no pain and it doesnt itch. it started about 3 weeks ago and i'm 30 years old and have no acne. what could this be? thanks for the help.
It's acne cyst. You have bad bacteria build up, crohn's can be a case of bad bacteria build up in the gut and it will effect the rest of your body as well. If your a girl you will notice before your cycle a burn of which feels like a yeast infection which is not. You get acne and so on. Cut out sugar, and all processed foods. You can kill the bacteria on its own then eat yogurts and take probiotics.
A bit of a background, I have keratosis pilaris on my upper arms and I know that it can occur on the face as well, but these are not the same kind of bumps whatsoever. Other than that, I have pretty normal skin, with the occasion pimple showing up but never severe acne of any sort. I also don't think it's an allergy of any sort, since it has been happening for several years and I've changed face products and whatnot over that time.
I used to have cystic acne on my face & i actually was diagnosed with PCOS because i have actual small cysts on my ovaries, but they went away after i started birth control. So a couple of days ago i realized there was this cyst type of pimple on my vaginal area on the skin. In a few days it blew up big & it reminded me of the acne i had on my face. its INSIDE the skin. If i grab my skin i can literally feel this big bump inside.
I went to a skin doctor yesterday, who told me it was a cyst, but not acne and because the nature of it (being enlarged and swollen) he put me on an anti-biotic called levaquin, one pill a day/for seven days. I'm due to get my cobra insurance, so I may seek a second opinion if the levaquin fails to reduce the swelling.
Whenever the pain increases, my face oozes pus, then the pain goes down. I also have some hard lumps on my face and the skin has turned reddish purple. The e.n.t who removed the sinus cyst said I have osteomyelitis and gave antibiotics. I had some relief while on antibiotics ( not total there was still pain in the left cheekbone). Now that the antibiotic course has finished I am in pain again.
