acne breakouts on back

I'm 12wks 5 days and haven't had acne since high school. Now I'm constantly breaking out on my chin and cheeks, it almost looks like a rash. I also break out on my back and chest. I know that hormones during pregnancy can have a lot to do with break outs. I haven't brought it up to my doctor, because it doesn't look that severe (yet), but I would probably see a dermatologist and find out safe options for controlling acne. I believe ftm stands for first time mom. Good luck!!

It is normal to get acne on your neck, chest, or even back. I had some on the back of my neck, chest, and upper back. As for the scabs I'm not sure but try usig head and shoulders or something similar to that to see if it goes away but try not to scratch then.

Has anyone had any bad breakouts while being pregnant?? Normally I get bad breakouts around my period, but haven't. Only odd thing is ive noticed breakouts on my chest area & usually I breakout on my face.

I found an all natural soap store in my town I have to buy two separate products of theirs and use one in the morning and the other at night. When I ran out of one of them my acne came back. I've tried everything else but those are what work for me.:/ its all trial and error.

s) heavily, I used to breakout. But not like real acne, but close enough to look like pimples. I only remembered this question as I seen a meth addict yesterday on t.v. and you know how they get those crystal sores all over and pick at them? Kind of the same idea, only not sores more like acne. Now mind you, this was only if I was using heavily, 6 to 10 a day. Heavy use for me... Thanks for your feedback!

I never really experienced break outs ever in life. Now I randomly broke out all by my hair line, some on my cheeks, but all over my back! Is this Common???!

The pimples i keep getting are cystic acne. They hurt really bad and nothing helps them go away. This is currently what i use on my face: Face wash with .5% salicylic acid and another facewash with 3.5% benzoyl peroxide. I MAKE SURE to take really good care of my skin but it dosent seem to work. Also i have a prescription face medication cream called BenzaClin which is 1% clindamycin and 5% Benzoyl peroxide.

I'm 30+2 n I've had acne all way thro all over my body face chest and back mostly n i found the best thing to use tea tree and mint shower wash n nothing else n dont pick n burst cos you will get scars my big mistake but it's hard to leave them alone i know lol

I am 22 and my story is the same as yours, healthy lifestyle and regular exercise gives me breakouts mostly on my chin and chicks but when I go on holiday and have "unhealthy" food and do not exercise at all my skin clears up. I think it is due to an increase of my hormones but I want to be able to exercise. Face wash products don't do a thing and it is not due to my sweat neither. Please answer because it cannot keep on going like that, it's taking all my confidence out.

So I'm 21weeks today, but ever since I was about 16weeks I've had major acne breakouts!! When do they end?? I've never been one to have acne breakouts and now its just irritating Me so so much! Ugh!! When is it supposed to end?

Hello, I'm a seventeen year old guy, and up until a couple months ago, I've been a pescetarian (I eat fish, eggs, and dairy products, but no chicken, beef, etc) for four years. I have never had any problems with acne at all. I'd get a pimple here or there, but nothing very serious. People even used to talk about how clear my skin was.

So what is good for breakouts while your pregnant I am having some horrible acne breakouts the past few weeks.

s dangerous to take something *orally* for acne (unless approved by a doctor), but using something topically (on your skin) is typically safe. if you feel uncomfortable, talk to your OB about it though. I've used clearasil my entire pregnancy.. 23w4d & our baby boy is kicking my ribs as I type this!! lol good luck!

Me too both my children nvr had breakouts this pregnancy omg breakouts galore on my chest back face I feel so disgusted ugh.....

Before the surgery was performed, my menstrual cycle was irregular and I had several breakouts on my face (specifically cheeks) that left scars behind. Now, while my cycle is back on track, I still continue to have these breakouts on my right cheek and I do not know the reason. Can you see any reasons for the same? I would be glad to hear some suggestions too.

I believe abrasion on my skin causes acne breakouts. Ever since using back scrubbers, acne appeared and left acne scars after disappearing. I totally lost my confidence in dressing up for summer and I cant go shirtless, I'm forced to wear a shirt when I go swimming and its bothersome. My self-esteem has hit rock bottom ever since these deep scars appeared. I never knew skin could do that.

I know there have been a number of posts, but did anyone suggest anything that works and is safe? My face and (t.m.i.) back are disgusting... I have NEVER had such bad acne in my life! Thanks ladies!

I use Neutrogena oil free face wash with acne free benzoid spot cream on my face but my back is a lost cause. I combine sallycilic acid treatments with benzoid so it kills a ton.

After that i started getting a lot of pimples on my cheeks so the dermatologist put me on antibiotics for 3-4 months. My acne just got worse so i was put on accutane for 2 months and it cleared my skin. By that time i was 17 years old . After two months i started getting pimples again . So for a month and a half i had antibiotics again but they were completely not responsive. My acne got worse than ever before. I did not have systic acne but it was pretty bad .

I hv bad acne usally I dnt but pregnancy brings the opposite I evn hv acne on my chest and back which I never have! Once in a while I break out but this whole pregnancy I hv acne all the time.

m 6 months pregnant and was breaking out bad until I started massaging coconut oil on my face and just gently wiping it off with a hot wash cloth. My acne and even my old scars have been disappearing. It works wonders.

Hey guys. I hope I'm posting this thread right, I just signed up to ask this question so I don't really know the ropes around here. I've always had some smaller pimples on my face and shoulders but nothing major enough to even bother me. I have a really hard time not picking and squeezing which is the main root to why I even have the acne in the first place I suspect, but I just can't stop doing it.

Unfortunately all we can really do is be patient during pregnancy, i get horrible back breakouts when I get pregnant

I believe the correlation comes from the release of androgen hormones in your body when you rapidly lose fat. While there are no studies confirming or denying that there is an increase in acne breakouts while taking phentermine, enough people have experienced it, to provide a definite correlation.

I have seen a dermatologist and the main problem is that i don't have a serious problem with acne, but random breakouts. Also, I have breakouts on my back and he told me birth control would be a good choice for that. I have actually tried some different prescritions of washes and creams and they either irrited my skin horribly or didn't work. Thanks for sharing. Let me know how the Loestrin works!
