My acne just got worse so i was put on accutane for 2 months and it cleared my skin. By that time i was 17 years old . After two months i started getting pimples again . So for a month and a half i had antibiotics again but they were completely not responsive. My acne got worse than ever before. I did not have systic acne but it was pretty bad . I had big red stubborn pimples all over my cheeks . At 17 and a half i was put on accutane again and the course lasted for six months .
Hi, I have been on accutane for about alittle over a month. My dose is 20mg per day. I noticed about my fifth week using it that I developed a rash on the top of both my hands. It looks like little dots/pimples. They don't itch or burn. I thought it was ezema but I don't know. Is this a side effect from the accutane? Does anyone know how to treat this rash? I never had this before.
This Med help isn't very helpful. I posted this 3yrs ago, and haven't had any replies. Doctor says "no" to Hiperhydrosis, cut out wheat for a while, tried all topical ointments, anti-antiperspirants, alcohol, thyroid checked, dermatologist was lame,>direct prescription for accutane, which isn't going to happen, and still seem to get oeveheated and sweat for no reason. Good luck to anyone trying to stay away from prescriptions.
Last time after control visit, he said it will be no problem for this move, just to follow the prescribed medicines (Accutane 10 mg for 03 months). But I'm doubting because , in Algiers in summer sometimes Humidity is around 60% to 70% (25 to 30Deg C), I feel uncomfortable, but with Accutane Ok (no new pimples). But in a Congo the climate is in all the year under min. 80% of relative humidity, may be very difficult.
i am 33 up until this january i was losing hope, i was about to try accutane. i didnt want accutance because of the side effects but these pimples/cysts were killing socially. I then did soome research. I have made a 100% turn around. this worked for me, i am acne free. this is what i did before i was about to take accutane. i simply stopped drinking milk and went with almond milk. i stopped with soda and chips. i bought this semi expensive product called tanda its a blue light therapy.
This means i did not complete the 6 month treatment. Right now i have been off accutane for 2 months and a half.Right now i have occasional pimples but nothing great like before. My face is getting back to its normal greasy self.I have many embarrassing scars on my face, My question is, is it okay to have laser treatment on my face or microdembrasion or do i suffer the possiblilty of having my acne scars worse than they are now?
Also i have a small red rash or somethn on the head of my penis for months now tht dont go away none of this ever goes away. I also have rarely tingling in my urethra and genital pain. But i was on accutane for 6 months been off of it for almost 2 weeks now. Seems like my anus is still very dry and is uncomfortable and my penile area is also dry. This all pretty much stareted when i was on accutane.
I took accutane and basically now my pimples won't come to a head. I noticed two little red spots above my lip about 3 days ago. They don't hurt or anything like that and haven't really turned into anything! Could it be herpes or just little zits?
the drug information says you can get pregnant 30 days after finishing accutane without risk for complications...but is this really true? it seems that a lot of people on these boards and stuff say its best to wait a year or longer (i know they aren't medical professionals, but it's hard not to listen...). is there even solid data yet to support the best waiting time?...
I am going to try and get on accutane. Does it cause scars? Should I let the spots heal first or should I get on accutane immediately?
I have literally tried everything you can imagine. Diets, low glycemic, multi vitamin, salads, low carb, you name it. Cut out all flour and sugar. I get temporary relief and it comes back. I would give a testicle to get away from acne. I have prayed, I have did meditation and all sorts of things.

To avoid scars, remember not to pop the pimples and cysts. Use a hot compress to help bring them to a head so that they pop naturally, or so that the swelling will go down.
Since my late 20's, I have seen a variety of dermatologists for painful boil-like eruptions on my butt, that are 1-3 CM in diameter. I am now 39, and they seem to be getting worse! Im a 26 years old and may be 4 - 6 weeks pregnant. I have done a couple of home pregnancy test which all tested positive. My OB/Gyn appointment is not until next week. My husband is currently taking Accutane and had been on the medication for 4 months and counting. I've read that while taking Accutane, women are strictly advised against getting pregnant as it causes serious birth defects. Is it the same case for man taking Accutane?
Acne inversa is another name for hidradenitis suppurativa. but that condition primarily affects the armpits and sometimes the groin, not the buttocks. So it's hard for me to answer your questions without knowing for sure what you have. Have any cultures for bacteria been done? Biopsies? It is true that Accutane doesn't work very well for cystic diseases that aren't true acne, but nothing else does either, so a course of this drug seems reasonable.
