Common Questions and Answers about Abscess wikipedia

Avatar n tn Has anyone experiecned this issue. It is sometimes called a subareola abscess. This is a chronic condition- I have had 3 surgeries to removed the abscess because of the pain associated with it. It is back again and my last surgery was in November. I quit smoking because that is what my one doctor to me the was the ONLY cause and that is I quit smoking it will stop them from returning 100% of the time.
Avatar n tn less likely possibly a renal abscess although would expect surrounding secondary fat changes and there would be clinical correlation for abscess if this was the case." What is most likely?
Avatar n tn This sounds like it might be a perianal abscess. Go to the wikipedia site below and see if what they describe sounds like what you are experiencing. http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar n tn Ive left it alone for a couple of days and it seems to be healing. On wikipedia it says keeping it moist is prefferable, it goes against my intuition for somereason but I am going to dampen it with an anti bacterial wipe every few hours if i can remember it. I trust someone will correct me if this is not recommendable heh. In any case im glad it seems to be less serious than what it seems for a moment. Thanks again.
Avatar f tn There has been some association with certain types of bacteria -- here is the entry on Wikipedia (which I created in plain English and someone has gone in and put in to medical terminology - probably a doctor!...I might have to re-edit :) Anyway, you know you have a rare disease when you create the wikipedia entry for it...gotta keep laughing.
751951 tn?1406636463 PD, I am horrible with lab results, that is why I use labtestsonline.org as my reference. If the neuro hasn't flagged anything out of the ordinary, that is good news. It is especially looking good that this might not be MS - having zero o-bands is very good, although we know it is still possible to have the MonSter and no o-bands. Even though you mention some of these at the limits of normal, they are still within what is considered acceptable ranges.

Avatar f tn I walked in to a er mid aug 2010 for intense crippling pain due to the lumps growth and a skin surface abcess that had formed on top of the lumps location. They aspirated the abscess and told me they could not treat or touch anything having to do with the lump bc it was underneath the skin. And when the abscess healed( it was nxt to my left nipple) my nipple started retracting and inverting. I reapplied for medical assistance and continued to look for a dr.
983030 tn?1261356662 You could try looking up complex-ptsd on wikipedia. I think they have some good info there. You could try looking up bpd too and see if you think any of that applies. I don't know. What is the difference? It would be nice if it were a multi-choice question. I think that a delusion is not based on reality. A gut instinct probably takes into account more facts (but is still primitive). A gut instinct is something we perhaps feel before we start to over-think things.

Avatar m tn //emedicine.medscape.com/article/1054088-overview Image at Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trichomycosis_axillaris It is gram-positive bacterium. "Gram-Positive' means the bacteria has a thin outer 'skin'. Over-the-counter topical gel will help clean/kill the bacteria. Triple Antibiotic Ointment A.K.A. Neosporin and/or Polysporin look for these: Ploymyxin B sulfate, Bacitracin zinc and Gramicidin. Then clear as normal.
Avatar n tn I just check on Wikipedia and found this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sebaceous_cyst It shows pictures of the cyst. This is what I have on my left vaginal lip or it sure looks and sounds like what everyone on here is discribing. Mine just started the other day. I squeezed it a couple times and got some puss. but it is still there!!!! ARRRGGGG!!!
Avatar f tn org/wikipedia/en/wiki/Sarcoidosis Wikipedia is not an authoritative source but it will do at the moment. Any doc suspecting sarcoidosis will do a chest x-ray. If there are no lung nodules, they'll reflexively think it's therefore not a case of sarcoidosis. But "Granulomas most often appear in the lungs or the lymph nodes, but virtually any organ can be affected".
Avatar n tn Dentist doesn't see any abscess, etc. I just read that sarcoidsosis can affect the TMJ joint. All my problems are on my right side - from the armpit to my head (sinus, eye, cheek, headache, etc etc) After my next visit to the uveitis specialist, (reviewing the tests) she will be referring me to a rheumatologist. Hopefully my problem has helped someone here. Make sure your rheumotogist or GP has all the test results from every doctor, dentist, etc that you have seen.
211940 tn?1267884866 In October, 2007, I developed an extremely sore throat, accompanied by an abscess on my tonsil. At the same time, I found that I could not turn my head side-to-side, nor lift my arms forward, sideways, etc. The Sports Medicine doctor took x-rays, which turned out so poorly, he could not determine whether or not I had a hole in my rotator cuff. I was sent to rehab., whereupon I was told that the tissue in my upper arms was filled with knots, and that my shoulder joints were not frozen.
