Avatar n tn Last Monday, I noticed a small bump on the right side of my pelvis, like where my panty line should be. It was tender to the touch but the tenderness went away. There is also some weird kind of bite on my right hip, so I think the two might be correlated. Friday, I got a mild fever and found out that the lump was a swollen lymph node. The doctor prescribed me some anti biotic for a yeast infection, even though I KNEW I didn't/don't have a yeast infection. I have none of the symptoms.
Avatar f tn Hi, About a week ago, I noticed an oblong shaped, painful lump basically on the line where my thigh meets my pelvis. Anyways, at first, I attributed it to a pulled groin or just doing something weird but it hasn't gone down at all and the other side doesn't have it. I started doing some online research and just got nervous with some things I found, as I have had other medical issues recently (abominal pain, unexplained anemia and unexplained weight loss).
Avatar m tn I've had a few UTIs and fungal jock itch or purple rash in the groin over the last few years, which seem to have been pretty serious. my skin looks clear but on the inside I think there's a lot of vessel damage. my penis skin was peeling and there were these cuts or sores on the top of the penis that wouldn't heal. maybe the fungus got into my urinary tract and infected my prostate and everything? it's terrible is there anything to repair the numbness and vessels?
Avatar n tn What do they mean by echogenic mass and hypoechoic mass? Currently, I am on seaonale and supress my cycle. I been on it for 6 weeks now. I was also told that is all they can do for now and we need to just keep monitoring it because it favors a benign process. I feel stabbing pain from time to time and I do have pain medication but I just hate waiting. Is there anything else I can do?
Avatar n tn Wow your symptoms sound exactly like mine, i had to do a double take to make sure that it wasnt my post. I have a lump on the bottom rib on the left side under my breast. I had it checked out at docs and it feels like bone matter and doesnt move at all it is firmly stuck. I only noticed it since i had my first child. It seems like it could be scar tissue from when i cracked the rib years ago when i had a really bad cough (believe it or not!!).
1331115 tn?1536365740 I am so glad that my Ash (wife) laid those pieces of paper in front of me as it made me realize that I (and everyone) need to keep there guard up and keep fighting. The reason why I posted on my old (see previos post) thread was maybe someone may read the thread and find the strenght I did to make it.
Avatar n tn No acute changes in the abdomen and pelvis following hysterectomy. No evidence of hematoma or abscess in the surgical bed. No evidence of fluid collection or hematoma along the anterior abdominal wall. 2. Fatty infiltration of the liver with changes of previous cholecystectomy. 3. Probable tiny cyst lateral aspect of the spleen, unchanged and of doubtful clinical significance.
Avatar n tn and have seen many different locations for an abscess on the body and i have to say that the groin area is the most painful and most re-occuring location. I have assisted both Dr.s and P.A.s in lancing(making a small cut into the head of the abscess to release the pus) these painful abscesses. Here's the thing....if you've gotten one before----you're more prone to getting them again....
Avatar f tn If you were looking at me foward facing and my pelvis was a V the lump is at the top right on the front edge of the bone but not on the bone directly. I do not have health insurance I am a 20 yr old college student. I gave birth 4 months ago. I hope that covers most of it. Also 2 nights ago I had severe nasea and churning in my abodomen. Also when giving me opinions please give me so no insurance options on how to approach this. Thank-you in advance.
Avatar n tn Small pocket of fluid within the dependent portion of the subcutaneous tissues lower back and upper pelvis as well as along the hip flanks.
Avatar n tn Is cancer still a possibility even though the markers were negative? This wait seems very long. Would a tubal ovarian abscess or a hemorrhagic cyst be serious as well? I would not want these things to rupture. This is what the radiology report says: Within the pelvis, the uterus is noted to enhance quite prominently. In the left adnexa a low density structure approximately 3.3 by 1.4 cm in diameter is noted - this may be the left ovary.
Avatar f tn I have been putting cold and warm packs on on it? How long will that take to go down? Or will I need further follow-up with that as well?
1344197 tn?1392822771 Individuals who have IC often have decreased quality of life measures and report adverse affects on leisure activity, family relationships, and travel. The condition is found in women more than men and depressive symptoms are common. While there are a number of diagnostic criteria for IC, there is no agreed upon gold-standard test that reliably makes the diagnosis. IC is therefore mostly a clinical diagnosis based on symptoms and signs, although, a number of tests are helpful.
Avatar f tn My boyfriend went to the doctor because he has an abscess in his groin/pelvis and little bumps on his penis, and they told him he has a staph infection. However, when I went to the doctor, they told me I have a staph infection on my vagina, yet I have herpes on my mouth. Being in a foreign country, I am skeptical of their diagnosis. If you think this is true, how can I have herpes and he doesnt? Can someone please explain this to me, for I have never been in this much pain in my life.

1288586 tn?1271907761 the doctor told me it was a bug bite. it is very itchy and swollen now. and the lump on my pelvis is an abscess.
Avatar n tn She has been suffering for over a month from severe LRQ pain. She had an ovarian cyst on a CT that was partially ruptured a little over a week ago and fluid in her pelvis. Her pain has increased to near intolerable levels even with pain medication and her follow-up ultrasound yesterday showed the cyst is gone and "everything is normal"! We are so frustrated and do not know how to proceed!!!!!!!!
Avatar n tn I was started on a climara patch the day following surgery. My Onc/GYN has since retired. For the last 5 years my PCP had been watching an increasing WBCC. It started in the 13. range and is now in the low 20s. The last was 22.6. I was sent to an onc. who did a bone marrow aspiration and also a ct scam of abdomen and pelvis. the ct scan showed a 3x3.5 soft tissue mass that they said "Most likely represented an ovary"....That couldn't be.
Avatar f tn Sometimes there are cysts on the ovary that can become painful if there is torsion. Any infection in the pelvis too can cause pain while sneezing and so can an abscess or an ectopic pregnancy (which you have ruled out). Please consult your doctor. It is difficult to comment beyond this without examining and tests like ultrasound to confirm it. Please let me know if there is any thing else and do keep me posted.
Avatar n tn I had an umbilical hernia removed' on my recheck the doctor broke the news that a small piece had attached to hernia sent to pathology. The pathology report said specimen is extensively infiltrated by poorly differentiated carcinoma with focal papillary features, with lymphatic involvement. have had two CT scans no showing of ovarian CA 125 was 4150. had a PET scan no highlights in ovarian or pelvis areas instead lymp nodes highlighted all over. so I was referred for a theoric biopsy.
Avatar n tn First of all, I would consider some imaging (either with a CT scan or ultrasound) to make sure that an abscess is not present. An abscess cannot be treated with antibiotics. Sitz baths and transurethral microwave thermotherapy have been used with varying success. Bladder neck and urethral spasm can sometimes be treated with alpha blocking agents such as terazosin which an decrease the discomfort. If there is any pelvic floor dysfunction, diazepam has been used with some success.
Avatar n tn A prostatic massage, where fluid can be sent for culture and analysis, as well as a transrectal ultrasound can be done to exclude infection or an abscess. Otherwise, imaging of the pelvis can be done to exclude a hernia or abscess. These options can be discussed with your personal physician or in conjunction with a urologist. Followup with your personal physician is essential.
Avatar n tn For several days, I have been experiencing a dull pain in my lower left back - I would say at the hip or pelvis line - definitely lower than the kidneys. It is in the back rather than the abdominal area, but does not feel like standard back pain (which I also have from time to time) - I mean, it does not feel like muscular or joint pain - it feels like abdominal pain - it's just located in the back. The pain is dull but gets sharper when I stand and walk.
Avatar n tn Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! Three possibilities come to my mind; chronic involvement of appendix (many a times ultrasound misses this as the appendix in such cases is hidden behind loops of intestine and typical symptoms of appendicitis are absent), involvement of kidney and inflammation of your intestine. Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture.
Avatar m tn Gallbladder out, stomach full of ulcers and I am piling on antibiotics, pain killers, cough syrup all on empty stomach. Unable to return to work and too weak to even walk, my abscess is slowly getting better. Finally, I return to the surgeon who removed my gallbladder for my followup and my abscess is about the size of my thumb. I had kept is office informed. I showed him my naval and he did not examine but looked at my naval and said "Ummm, I have never seen anything like that.
Avatar f tn (...I do have an appt. on Dec. 12 with my urologist to see how the Bactrim is working. I was shocked that she mentioned Botox for treating it as well. In all honesty i am used to the frequent urination and it is not painful at all. The tumor/mass in my pelvis has not grown any :) BUT I still have to go see an onocologist for a consultation. They can not biopsy it, so they can not tell what the tissue is. They can not tell me if it is the cause of my other symptoms.
Avatar m tn Have to take Advil or Tylenol just to get thru the day. Have to sit on a doughnut pillow. Been on Antibiotics (Cefuroxime) for 3 full days now, and it does not seem to be working. I am a 38 year old male. Dr's are telling me there is nothing they can do, but I have to get help. Something is WRONG! Any Advice would be greatly appreciated!
Avatar n tn After a week of agony scans antibiotics painkillers and tubes in my orifices they did exploratory surgery and found I had an abscess on the back of my uterus,my bowels and other organs had been infected by this poison but still to this date they do not know what has caused it. Since being out of hospital I am trying to recover and get back to working and having some kind of semblance of a normal life.
Avatar n tn I am not going to be able to fit this into 1600 charachters... I had the huge serous cystadenoma removed along with total hysterectomy in October. Lateley I have been having, pelvic pain, low grade fever and not so much constipation but just seemingly blocked - probable adhesions as Mary's ball rolling helped for a while. I began thinking I either had one of the rare cancerous cystadenomas misdiagnosed or Ovarian Remnant Syndrome as Cystic STRUCTURES began reappearing.
