Last Monday, I noticed a small bump on the right side of my pelvis, like where my panty line should be. It was tender to the touch but the tenderness went away. There is also some weird kind of bite on my right hip, so I think the two might be correlated. Friday, I got a mild fever and found out that the lump was a swollen lymph node. The doctor prescribed me some anti biotic for a yeast infection, even though I KNEW I didn't/don't have a yeast infection. I have none of the symptoms.

Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area. I would recommend seeing a dentist and getting treatment started.

Do any of your teeth hurt? Sounds like you have an infection or abscess. If an abscess in the teeth goes unattended the infection will spread into the jaw and cause a lump. You need to get checked out ASAP!! If left untreated, the infection will spread into your blood stream.

3 days ago I competed in a bicycle race (not sure if this is connected to my situation) and a few hours after the event I noticed a small lump on my buttocks quite close to my anus. It was soar to the touch but otherwise no bother. The next morning when I woke up it doubled in sized. By the afternoon it grew to about 2 inches in length and 1 inch wide. It is firm to the touch and seems to be located a little bit under my skin but not so deep that I can not feel it well.

I have been having problems with a cyst or abscess that was what I am going to call dormant for a long time. I had it checked by a dermatologist he said since it was in the muscle part of my back he would not recommend to have it cut out...Now its inflamed went to a clinic they said to just heat compress it then wet to my PCP who game me SULFA and some pain killers told me also to heat compress it...now it is no longer HOT it was a HOT spot but now it looks PURPLE.

they did a ct and found out that it was an abscess. it was 1 inch by 3/8 inch big. they gave me iv rocephin and drained the abscess. they put me on 250mg of keflex 4 x a day and 300mg of clindamycin 4 x a day for the next 10 days. talked to my dentist this morning and have a follow up appt. with him on weds. then if all goes well i will hopefully get the tooth that is causing all of this pulled next week.

As rightly mentioned this seems to be a recurring abscess. Generally a dead tooth nerve gets infected and forms an abscess. Please contact your dentist immediately.

Three possibilities come to my mind; chronic involvement of appendix (many a times ultrasound misses this as the appendix in such cases is hidden behind loops of intestine and typical symptoms of appendicitis are absent), involvement of kidney and inflammation of your intestine. Lower right abdomen pain is commonly due to appendicitis. The pain, can at times come and go and not give the classic picture.

Yes. Abscesses will often clear up on their own, but in the mouth region, there's a serious danger of tooth loss. You can call around and see if there's some sort of low/ no cost vet care in your area. Depending on what government programs you're on, you'd be eligible.

maybe 4 months ago i started to get a little rash on my groin where the pelvis and thigh meet, well i thought nothing of it, its just heat rash. so i let it be, after a while it got worse and i showed my father, he said it was heat rash, so i thought it would just go away, but it hasn't, in fact it has spread.
