I just noticed this last week. Don't know how long it's been there. Anyway it has me alarmed. I have been on two antibiotics the last 10 days to try and eradicate h pylori. If it was some kind of infection these strong antibiotics should have taken it away, right? It's the same color as my palate and its hard but only painful if you push on it. What could this be? I'm trying to get over this stomach bacteria, and now this! I'm scared.
I went to my regular dentist on 1/13/06 and xrays showed a large abscess in tooth #10, as well as a smaller abscess in tooth #20. On 1/17/06 I had a RCT done on tooth #10, as well as an incision in the roof of my mouth behind that tooth to help extract the infection. On 1/19/06, I had a RCT done on tooth #20, with one 0.05mm post placed. I have been on Antibiotics since 1/13/06, taking Penicillin VK 500mg QID, so I'm now on my Eighth day of antibiotics.
I get a gross taste when I yawn almost feels like pus draining throught my 2nd to last upper molar on the right side of my mouth. I have had all my teeth checked by a dentist and no abscess has been found, or anything else that would explain the drainage. I have been seeing a lot of doctors recently, none of which seem to help me out with anything. I get some dizziness, and pressure in the ears sometimes as well. I also have what feels like swelling on my hard palate.
I have had a lump on the roof of my mouth on the hard palate for around 2 years. I’m a male and currently 22 years old. It’s never caused me any pain or done any harm. I don’t believe that it has grown either. The middle of my hard palate feels as though there is a bony lump there, and then it also feels as though there is a small lump to the right of it, on the right side of the hard palate as well. I can always feel the lump with my tongue.
I noticed when I woke up this morning that I had a few red spots on my soft palate. They seem like small cuts, and they burn when I swollow food. The burning is very mild. They are really red,
And they are flat.I do often have a dry mouth, because of my anxiety, I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this, or maybe I just have an abrasion from something I ate. What could it be?

I've noticed that the roof of my mouth is very pale/white-ish in the front (hard palate) and then yellow-ish in the back (soft palate) instead of the pink color it's apparently supposed to be.
Is this a source for concern/is a visit to the dentist needed? Or is that normal?

For the last couple of days, I've noticed a lump on my soft palate. It doesn't hurt and it is the same texture as the soft palate (i.e. smooth and soft). It is slightly red and has two indentations next to it. It's visible to the right of centre in the attached photo.

What could this be?
They are between 1 and 2mm in diameter (see photo) located on both sides of the symmetry line of the soft palate. I tried running my finger over them but they don't hurt.
I don't have any difficulties swallowing.
Also, if I look really closely at my soft palate, from a certain angle, I can see other, even smaller bumps (pinprick size) above these ones, between the uvula and the hard palate.
Any idea what they are? Are they normal?
1 month ago I found a small hard lump on my palate ( Betwen the soft palate and Hard palate) I think , Went to ENT, he did a biopsy . The biopsy show mild to moderate atypia, he told me he cannot tell me if its a dysplasia or just something benign , so the biopsy is inconclusive, He Just told me to come back every 6 month
2 week after the biopsy I found another hard lump on the mouth, at the same area !
Two weeks ago, I noticed a slight bump on my right hard palate. When I checked it out, my whole hard palate was white and my soft palate was yellow. There were small red bumps all along the hard palate, and of course, the bump that was previously mentioned, which was the same white color as the rest of my upper palate.
Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area.
I would recommend seeing a dentist and getting treatment started.
I am 40 yrs old male .i had an abscess on my right hip i consult the doctor ,he suggest me an antibiotic twice for four days.after 3-4 days another abscess develop just 10mm above and again after 2-3 days 10mm another abscess develop but i am taking antibiotic regularly .what are the reason of repeating abscess & what is the permanent treatment to get rid of these.
15 days ago, some red patch appeared on my palate. That night I ate tomatoes with sharp edges, and day after that I noticed the thing on my palate. I was waiting for couple of days to pass, but it's still there. Didn't hurt, don't hurt now either, and I'm not sure what to do with it.
I was little anxious before with my health, for no reason, and everything I checked was fine, so now I don't want to go again to doctors if there's no doubt something's wrong.
Yes, I'm hoping it's a good sign. I notice in the morning after awakening it is just slightly raised. As the day goes on it gets a little bigger. If I drink something cold it goes down for a few minutes, then back up. It's never gotten bigger than it originally was. Could this be a mucocele? I read where you can develop them on the hard palate from trauma. I guess it's possible that's why the antibiotics never took it away.
Well about 2 days in, the roof of my mouth felt kind of weird, like a pasty feeling maybe? I looked at it and there was a bunch of reddish/purpleish dots on my hard palate. Not a whole lot, but a few on the sides closer to my teeth. The spots aren’t bumpy and they’re not painful either. Also, a big red/pink spot in the middle of my hard palate that I thought probably just occurred from me irritating it.
hello, I am 18 years old and just recently looked at the roof of my mouth and noticed two light purple spots on the hard palate extending towards the soft palate. they do not hurt and are slightly raised. also, the border around the roof of my mouth is a grayish/purple color. also, the walls of the back of my throat are purple too. i do have sever allergies but that doesnt explain the two identical purplish spots on the roof of my mouth. can someone tell me what this could be?
3 days ago I competed in a bicycle race (not sure if this is connected to my situation) and a few hours after the event I noticed a small lump on my buttocks quite close to my anus. It was soar to the touch but otherwise no bother. The next morning when I woke up it doubled in sized. By the afternoon it grew to about 2 inches in length and 1 inch wide. It is firm to the touch and seems to be located a little bit under my skin but not so deep that I can not feel it well.
ve picked up cycling about 40-50 miles per week along with strenuous training and noticed a solo abscess on my labia after a cycle session where I had tight fitting underwear. I popped the abscess and some white fluid came out, and it's still raised but steadily getting smaller with neosporin application. I have never had sex and the last time oral happened was late 2013.
I have a bum on my gum on the left side of my face behind the last tooth. Some people are saying it might be a caker sore or an abscess. The bump became bigger and I noticed a white substance inside of the bump. It grew bigger than with the help of hot water and salt it began to drain. First question what is this on my gum? How long does it take to heal? and Should I go to the dentist after it fully heals?
