my cat has a blister on the side of her mouth and she's drooling like crazy.She still is eating her food but she is getting ujp there in age.I can't afford to take her to the vet because i just lost my job.
It's been a while since I've had a dental check up. I would say around 8 months now. I've used a mouth wash on it and it seems to have smoothen out a bit but its still there and looks white. I will go and have a dental check up as soon as I return home next week. What exactly is an abscess? is it somehting to worry about? One more question could this abscess have anything to do with my jaw feeling a bit week on the same side?
My two year old cat came home last night and this morning I notice an abscess on the bottom of his mouth. It is the size of a large marble but there are no visible signs of a wound, scratch, cut, ect. I asked some friends about this and they said it was a spider bite, I am watching him close to make sure he is eating still.
I HAVE THREE DAYS LEFT AND THE LUMP STILL HAS NOT WENT DOWN. I DO NOT HAVE ANY PAIN ON THE INSIDE OF MY MOUTH. THREE DAYS AGO THE LUMP WAS SORE FROM THE OUTSIDE. MY DOG HIT MY JAW AND PAIN SHOT INTO MY EAR. IS THIS AN ABSCESS TOOTH OR IS THIS FLUID FROM MY EAR. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW WHY AFTER TWO ROUNDS OF ANITBOTICS IF THIS IS AN ABSCESS IT HASN'T WENT DOWN.
After abscess drained, the cat irritated it a bit, a flap of skin came off revealing tissue, and bone on the right of the jaw/mouth. We went back to the vet, said she couldn't bandage it since it's literally on the mouth, and therefore couldn't eat. Also can't stitch since there's no skin to stitch together.
My main question is there any way I could bandage it, or dress it for a while abd then take it off when the cat wants to eat? I will post pictures.
s a constant throbbing pain in the lower left side of my mouth. The left side of my neck and face is puffy, and my glands on the same side are swollen and sore. And now, when I close my mouth, my teeth don't fit together. Also, my jaw is so stiff that I can't open my mouth more than about half an inch. I looked on webmd, and the symptoms seemed to be that of a dental abscess. Do you agree?
Is there anything I can do besides seeing a dentist?
Could be a boil, abscess, or canker sore. It can't be diagnosed from a picture. If it persists or grows, you'll need to see a dentist. If it's an abscess, antibiotics will be required.
I have a reocuring ulceration on the roof of my mouth. I'm not sure if it's viral or bacterial. It reoccures ever couple months. It starts out as a red, inflammed sore on the roof of my mouth, and then progresses into some form of an ulcer, or lession. I can usually get rid of it by hitting it hard with listerne three times daily, but recently, I became reinfected with it, and this time, it looks like the Grand Canon on the roof of my mouth with a black spot in the center of it all.
Over the past couple days I developed an extremely painful abscess. In an attempt to clean my mouth using coconut oil the abscess burst. I believe I didn't swallow any of the liquid leaking out and throughly rinsed my mouth with salt water and then some hydrogen peroxide. I will be receiving insurance in about 2 weeks from my new job so I am hoping I can hold off going to the dentist till then.
I went to my regular dentist on 1/13/06 and xrays showed a large abscess in tooth #10, as well as a smaller abscess in tooth #20. On 1/17/06 I had a RCT done on tooth #10, as well as an incision in the roof of my mouth behind that tooth to help extract the infection. On 1/19/06, I had a RCT done on tooth #20, with one 0.05mm post placed. I have been on Antibiotics since 1/13/06, taking Penicillin VK 500mg QID, so I'm now on my Eighth day of antibiotics.
Hello my husband has a lump inside his mouth. Its between the gums and cheek and its very hard. Its not visible but you can feel it. Its about the size of a small marble. He has been taking clindamyacin for it for about 8 days but no improvement. He does not have dental insurance. what do you think it is? He doesnt have implants or anything...
Im 36 weeks, and randomly a couple bumps popped up on the right side in the back of my mouth. They dont hurt or anything. Theyre just annoying. Anybody know what it is?
My dentist took an x-ray of my mouth and found no sign of a tooth abscess, even though when she drilled the infected tooth (which had a filling), there was a foul smell, indicating an abscessed tooth.
There is also a swelling below my left jaw, and it is difficult to swallow and open my mouth.
The dentist didn't explain much regarding why the x-Ray didn't reflect the tooth abscess.
on the completion of a crown placement I noticed a pimple above the crown some weeks later! There was no pain or sensitivity but on a visit to the dentist he told me I would need to consider a root canal procedure!
However until then I should increase my flossing, brushing and mouth washing!
I have not had the therapy because of fear of compromising my immunity!
Am I right not to do the therapy since I have no symptoms other than a small unsightly pimple?
I get a gross taste when I yawn almost feels like pus draining throught my 2nd to last upper molar on the right side of my mouth. I have had all my teeth checked by a dentist and no abscess has been found, or anything else that would explain the drainage. I have been seeing a lot of doctors recently, none of which seem to help me out with anything. I get some dizziness, and pressure in the ears sometimes as well. I also have what feels like swelling on my hard palate.
It could be a dental problem like an abscess getting started. A sinus CT wouldn't necessarily pick up on the problem unless the abscess was so big it ruptured into a sinus cavity since they focus exclusively on the sinuses and not the mouth. If you haven't already gone that route, it's worth a trip to a dentist to at least rule it out.
He says it is getting better, but for some reason his cheek on the other side of his mouth got swollen (maybe unrelated from biting it) and he says the area of the abscess is still a little irritated even after being on antibiotics today. The abscess was caused by food that got into a pocket between his erupting wisdom tooth and gum (the gum got cleaned out). He was never unable to open his mouth or talk, so far no swollen lymph nodes or anything like that.
