Also start shivering off and on. For past 3 days I have had chest pain when lying down...chest feels like it is being squeezed. Feel it now in any position but lying down increases the feeling. The various causes of patch on a chest xray when you had chest pain as the chief complaint could be emphysema, pneumonia, tuberculosis, lung abscess, rib fracture, lobar atelectasis, malignant lesions etc. wait for the meeting, carry any old xrays or other imaging studies of chest for comparison. Make note of any constitutional symptoms like fever, cough, and weight loss. Consult a pulmonologist after your physician. Management would be according to the cause. Hope this helps.

Hello, my son was born on 12/28/08 and has been in NICU since birth. one onf his lungs was not fully devolped and had a small hole causing air to escape and go into his chest. he also had a high crp of 4. well, his lungs got better, and he is off the ventialtor and breathing room ar (21) and his respitory system is excellent now.
s where it all started. The abscess I got on the first spot on my breast lasted for 9 months (I had maybe 4 recurrence) but it healed on its own without taking any antibiotics or creams. After a few weeks, I noticed that I have a growing abscess 1 inch away from the old spot and I have somehow a similar "abscess" forming 5 inches above my vagina (near where the pubic hairs are).
Judging by your description, it is most likely a fistula which is a tract that forms from the abscess of your infected tooth that escapes out to the gums. As long as the fistula in intact, your abscess can drain and slow down the spread of the abscess but if the fistula closes up, the abscess can spread rapidly through your face or neck area.
I would recommend seeing a dentist and getting treatment started.
I have a 15 year old that has a painless lump on his chest midway between his right nipple and collarbone. The lump has been getting larger. Last month I started to have sharp pains under my left side of my rib cage, and after getting a chest x-ray the doctor said I had pneumonia. I did a stint of antibiotics and felt better, but then when I did a follow up x-ray they found a 3.5cm spot on my lung that was there before but hadn't gone away (no change though).
I had a CT scan done this week and the scan confirmed a small mass in my lung and now I have an appointment with the pulmonologist on Friday.
It started in an ice hockey game and got progressively worse. The pain has now spread all on the left side reaching up to my ribcage. Sometimes it's a severe stabbing pain or

He eats like a horse and plays as usual. I have him on Blue Wilderness Salmon Recipe dog food. Should I be concerned and take him to the vet?
i am just suggesting here. see a doctor to know whats going on your body. after i that pain occurs with me, i let my doctor checked me right away, and it came out that im having a UTI but in mild case. so i get well just for a couple of days. don't make the situation worst. Go to doctor ASAP.
I may have commented to you before and asked your age.I doubt if your chest pain/discomfort is sinus related.That was ed's experience but as much chest pain as I have seen in patients I doubt that facial area of sinus is the problem, even if that maxillary sinus refers pain and I suspect that the performance of a cardiac cath eliminated that etiology.
3 days ago I competed in a bicycle race (not sure if this is connected to my situation) and a few hours after the event I noticed a small lump on my buttocks quite close to my anus. It was soar to the touch but otherwise no bother. The next morning when I woke up it doubled in sized. By the afternoon it grew to about 2 inches in length and 1 inch wide. It is firm to the touch and seems to be located a little bit under my skin but not so deep that I can not feel it well.

I have been having problems with a cyst or abscess that was what I am going to call dormant for a long time. I had it checked by a dermatologist he said since it was in the muscle part of my back he would not recommend to have it cut out...Now its inflamed went to a clinic they said to just heat compress it then wet to my PCP who game me SULFA and some pain killers told me also to heat compress it...now it is no longer HOT it was a HOT spot but now it looks PURPLE.
Pain in the upper left abdomen and chest area can be due to stomach issues (GERD or hiatal hernia), spleen issues, due to an abscess below the left diaphragm, a hematoma (localized collection of blood), an abscess, or a muscle pull (as it happened while playing). Ultrasound would have ruled out spleen problems and an abscess below the left diaphragm. A CT scan would be more diagnostic.
