Havent discussed it wit the doc yet as it hasnt happened in about a week or so, so never crossed my mind to say it to her when I was in on Monday but just got my period today and the shooting pain in my pelvis has literally been non-stop. Am going to go back to the doc next week when my period finishes as I recently developed a bartolin's abscess and am currently on a course of antibiotics so need to get that checked too. So worried!! Will keep posted anyway.
Last Monday, I noticed a small bump on the right side of my pelvis, like where my panty line should be. It was tender to the touch but the tenderness went away. There is also some weird kind of bite on my right hip, so I think the two might be correlated. Friday, I got a mild fever and found out that the lump was a swollen lymph node. The doctor prescribed me some anti biotic for a yeast infection, even though I KNEW I didn't/don't have a yeast infection. I have none of the symptoms.
For the last 4 months or so Ive had a thickening of the skin over my right axillae. I has a huge abscess in the area which resolved spontaneously after antibiotics. I noticed the irregularity in my skin soon afterwards. The lump hasnt increased in size but it wont go away either. Any thoughts??....thanks.

Typically if a abscess forms you take antibiotics,and if it's bad enough they have to also be drained,you can't really "cut out" an abscess,at least not without taking healthy tissue with it.
Your grandmother should receive a pelvic exam to determine the cause and extent of the abscess to determine the correct treatment,a small sample may also be taken to rule out cancer beings she is post menopausal.
An abscess is basically a build up of pus and infection in the jaw bone area. I assume that since you've seen a dentist recently, it probably would've been spotted at your last checkup as they generally develop from large cavities. There are abscess that also develop from gum disease as well but assuming you had a cleaning and check up, thats also a little more unlikely. Best to get it checked out and taken care of.
More specifically it is called Amoebic Liver Abscess. The abscess, if it is one, is relative small and can be cured by antibiotics. No need to go in for aspiration. It is 100% curable. Also go in for a blood test along with a liver function test to test the levels of the enzymes.
But, FIRST consult a good gastroenterologist. I wouldnt worry if I were you.

From what you are describing I would think it may be a Bartholin's cyst or abscess. The Bartholin glands are in the lower portion of the vagina and while the cyst isn't supposed to be painful, the abscess is and I would imagine if the cyst were big enough it would hurt. You may want to see your gyn about this. Also you can google Bartholin's cyst and you will get a lot of information.
Over the past couple days I developed an extremely painful abscess. In an attempt to clean my mouth using coconut oil the abscess burst. I believe I didn't swallow any of the liquid leaking out and throughly rinsed my mouth with salt water and then some hydrogen peroxide. I will be receiving insurance in about 2 weeks from my new job so I am hoping I can hold off going to the dentist till then.
Crohn’s disease, diverticulitis, infection in kidney, constipation, and an abscess in rectus abdominis muscle or psoas muscle can all cause lower right abdomen pain. An ultrasound or CT scan of abdomen is definitely required.

Hi, lump in the gums above and adjacent to the teeth most commonly can be tooth abscess or fistula opening due to infected tooth. You may just check out any frank cavity or food imapaction area in related teeth to the swelling. In such case you may need antibiotics and root canal treatment of the affected tooth with the help of a dentist. Other possibilties could be pyogenic granuloma, fibroma, periodontal abscess etc. Check out with local dentist to confirm.
hi again -has anyone any info on calcification in scar tissue? i was opend up from sternum to pelvis so they could stop bleeding,remove ruptured spleen etc. then it was reopened by orthopedics to take out the packing and fix all the other bits and bones that were smashed in accident.. i now have a boney formation directly under the scar that an ultrasound wont penitrate but shows up clearly on x-ray (it looks like a seahorse) it's about 5.
