Avatar m tn Hi, I posted a few weeks ago. I'm 35 yrs old, 4 years ago I had my upper right first molar re-filled after the filling broke, and ever since then (on and off) I've had severe pain issues spreading to my right maxillary sinus and jaw, and sometimes down the front of my neck. Right now the area just above and behind the tooth in question is very painful to the touch, and I have pain spreading. I plan to go to a university emergency clinic as soon as I can.
Avatar f tn A doctor examined me, noted severe infection/abscess, I had slightly elevated white blood cell count at this point, and she put me on cefdinir for 30 days. This helped diminish lump, but infection still spread, jaw became increasingly sore, and fever/malaise worsened into flu-like feeling but I had no respiratory symptoms.

Avatar n tn of 2010, I was under the knife AGAIN to remove that infection and formation of blood clots. During my stint in the hospital in Oct. of 2010, I was getting out of bed for the first time after surgery and realized that I had no use of my right leg at all. I had to drag my leg behind me while using a walker to be able to be moblie. As time passed and after many stints in physical therapy, I strengthened my right leg enough to be able to begin using a cane in the spring of 2011.
