Avatar f tn It just takes a lot of discipline, and you have to be willing to take it to the extreme! Diet is a major factor!! Avoid deep fried foods, processed foods, refined foods and foods high in saturated fats. Eat foods that are nutrient-dense, high in fiber and low in fat, eat lean meats, low fat dairy, whole grains, fruits, vegetables, seeds, nuts and legumes. No liquid calories.

Avatar f tn If your stomach is not flat at that weight, you may need to add fiber to your diet. You must be constipated or be bloated with gas. Yoga can also help these issues. When you exercise, you must work your muscles and concentrate on holding your abs flat. If you push them out, you are teaching them to protrude.

You don't necessarily need to diet but still want to eat healthy. As far as your weight you can look it up online because it depends on more than age but also height but it is an average weight for your age.
Avatar f tn Hey JessieKaee, I totally agree with Eve about talking to your doctor. I used to take the depo shot. I gained 80lbs in two months and it took over a year for that stuff to leave my system. I have always had issues with birth control and have had to find alternative ways to maintain my safety in that area. Also when it comes to abs... no matter how many crunches you do, you will have trouble seeing all your efforts if you don't change around your diet.

My microbiologist said that the FTA-ABS result cannot decrease further as it would get negative and it is supposed to be positive for the rest of my life. I am currently getting occasional panic attacks regarding symptoms like skin dryness ,migraines with aura and muscle weakness. Would it make sense to investigate further or am I overthinking this, considering my past results? There are some really scary horror stories about syphilis online.

Avatar f tn ve done tons of research about stomach fat and the best way to burn it is by a balanced diet and by drinking a lot of water and engaging in both cardio and strength training, but is there anything else? i workout usually everyday, at the least 5 times a week, very rarely 4. I eat quite heathy, taking in a lot of fruits and vegetables and trying to watch my serving sizes and portions.
Avatar f tn Abs aren't really the core -- those are the muscles beneath the ones you can see. The only way you're going to get there is to work hard at training. Do you have access to a good personal trainer? Also remember that women have a harder time getting the definition men can get because of lower testosterone. When you see anyone, though, with those really tight abs they either work incessantly at it or they're taking steroids, especially the women.

Avatar m tn Generally, you should take breaks when working on specific muscle groups. Give your abs at least a day of rest between each session, and you'll get better results. It gives your muscles time to heal, especially after an exhausting workout. I hope I helped!

I'm doing workout for my abs but my fat is still there. I'm on a no carb, no sugar diet. It did help me lose weight but not the fat on my stomach. Any suggestions?

I've tested mult. times for HIV syphilis and other STDs. All of the test have been negative. These have been HIV AB of mult types, HIV duo, HIV-1 DNA, HIV-2 DNA, HIV-1 RNA, HIV-1 western blot. I've also had mult syphilis test including RPR, FTA-ABS, TP AB, &syphilis EIA.

Avatar m tn uhmmm i was seeing how you guys all were doing crunches and what not and i had some questions......ok i have some weight on top of my abs, not a lot but i am overweight (131 lbs 5'1") but i am starting to do a lottt of crunches....well when i suck my stomach in i notice i feel bulges which are muscle which are my abs....lets say i keep doin the crunches for an amount of time....would the fat ontop of my abs stop them from being seeable? does this get rid of fat??

Avatar n tn Depending on how old you are, swimming is a great choice but like you said, no pool. LOL. if it is just 20 lbs. Then simple yoga or exersizes requiring a mat could work. (Don't take my word for it. Just an idea). Ex: lay on stomach, and bring feet into buttocks. Slowly kick a few reps (20-30) with each leg. This tones the butt. Or for an abdominal work out, lay on your back. Bring your legs into the air, making feet parallel to the ceiling.
