I'm currently prescribed 50 mg of Methadone and 10 mg Abilify but I have noticed a major increase of drowsiness. I have even lowered and started taking half of my abilify and split dosing my methadone and I have been able to function much better and much lower feeling of drowsiness through the day. I also have tired to go a day and a half without abilify and noticed restless legs.
my dr changed me from abilify and serquel to trazone and saphris. i was ok for about 3 days then started to feel sick, nausa chills muscle aches ect ect. i don't think it was a virus. but my question----can you have withdraws going of one type of meds and going on another that is simalar. i think going off serquel cold turkey and abilify is what did me in or maybe side effects from the new meds. i took the old meds yesterday and not the new ones and already feel better.
I've been out of work and am no longer able to afford my abilify and effexor. I've slowly stopped taking both to the point that I am no longer taking them. However yesturday I got a low grade headache and started vomitting. At first I thought it was a flu but now feel it's withdrawal from effexor. T oday I was sick to my stomach and had a headache,but I also had my tongue in such pain I could barely eat. Is this symptoms of withdrawal from effexor?
The thing they usually do is reduce the dose and wait until withdrawal symptoms go away and then reduce it some more.
My daughter reduced her Abilify from 10 mg to 5 mg a few days ago. She is also experiencing bad headaches and nausea. How long did your symptoms last?
I dont think Abilify works for depression alone. I ran out of my effexor xr (antidepressant) and only took my abilify and was a real mess for a week.. It was as if i werent taking anything. The abilify doesnt work alone in my case. Its only a booster pill, so to speak. I was tearful and restless without my antidepressant. However that could have been withdrawal or something.
My doctor prescribed 300 mg of Effexor, plus 5 mg of Abilify 7 years ago. Last year I decided to ween myself off. At the start 2012 I started to take 150mg everyday in addition to the 5mg of Abilify; 6 months later I then started taking the 150mg everyother day. Now I am trying to go every 2 days; by the second day I am really feeling the withdrawal effects. Today is Thursday, the last time I took the meds was Sunday. I keep pushing myself each day to NOT take the Effexor.
Just wondering is it because of coming of the olanzipine. How long do withdrawal symptoms last? Has anyone else had the same problem coming off olanzipine?
Okay so my doctor has decided to take me off of abilify but now Im having headaches. Is it because of the abilify and not being on it? Has anyone else experienced this? They are excruciating at times and I can't seem to rid myself of them. Ive put in a call to her office but no return call as of yet. Im just curious if the headaches are related to this because I wasn't having them until I went off the abilify as of last week.
Since starting abilify I have been seeing and dreaming strange things. It is almost to a point where it almost feels real. Also with the hearing voices and hearing other stuff it causes me to jump up straight (causing severe dizziness and nausea) from being asleep and i will go out my room door and look around in a daze but nothing is there. This happened since i started the meds.
Hi. Actually Ativan is more for anxiety and Abilify is more for depression but it can also help with anxiety. This is common practice, trust in your doctor. Best wishes.
Having racing thoughts, anxiety, mood swings, bone pain and sweats. From what I’ve read, this is Abilify withdrawal. Do I just have to feel awful until Lamictal dose is high enough to be therapeutic? Thanks!!
Not to long ago I felt really depressed and went home one day and started taking the abilify and got presecribed abilify, I took it everday for a while but was still smoking. I stopped taking it again and I was depressed just not that many days ago. Now I dont feel depressed but emotionless. I dont care about anything, things that use to depress me dont anymore and I have no wants and cant seem to get excited about anything. I think about the fact that i cant seem to feel anything all the time.

For the last 18 months the doc added 50 mg's of topiramate and Abilify to a very old mix of sertraline 200mg and 2 mg of Lorazepham daily..
I had stopped functioning well and quit taking the new additional two scripts two weeks ago now it's like I have bugs in the LEFT side of my face and it's making me worried and sore-Is there a bad mix of the four together? How long until this tingling wears off?

t mean to hijack this thread, but would happen if someone just started taking Abilify 15 mg, Celexia 10 mg, and Klonopin 1 mg (all generic) for five days and then just stop cold turkey? No prior medication were taken.
t need to increase dosage. As for withdrawal, all the meds you describe cause withdrawal. Paxil and Effexor are the two worst for antidepressants, and you seem to have come through those okay. Although benzos are addictive and ssris and snris aren't officially classified as such, all can pack a wallop of a withdrawal or none at all depending on the person. As for what will work, who knows? That's a very individual thing. Any of these could give you insomnia, or make you sedated.
