abilify cymbalta

Don't take abilify with Cymbalta! I take Cymbalta and then I was also put on abilify shortly before my family and I went on vacation to Disneyworld and it was the worst time I ever had! I felt like I was going to jump out of my skin! I was so agitated and could not sleep. I would pace at night! I did get off abilify when I got back and am just on Cymbalta now and am better but I am experiencing things like headaches and heart palpitations so may be getting off Cymbalta, too.

My son took Cymbalta for a while, at higher doses, plus Abilify. It wasn't very helpful to him. I asked the doctor to try it, because there was a woman who posted on here, a couple of years ago, how well both of her daughters did on high doses of Cymbalta plus Abilify. But what works for one, doens't nececssarily work for another. The two meds that have been most helpful for my son are Doxepin and Klonopin.

MY opinion would be to wait it out a little bit, give the Cymbalta some more time (you may even need a higher dose) before trying the Abilify. Are you in therapy? Have you ever looked into ECT? I know that seems extreme, but depending on how long you've been trying to manage the treatment resistant depression unsuccessfully with medications, it really MAY be a valid option to explore with your doctor anyway.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. Have you experienced any side effects? When you're depressed and trying to get your medications right it just isn't fun. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

Do I need a larger dose or smaller dose? Getting very frustrated. Have also just went from taking cymbalta and abilify to the effexor and abilify, but went off the abilify because of the weight gain. Dr wanted me to try wellbutrin and go off the effexor, but don't think it was working. Now I'm really confused on what works. For a couple days of being off the wellbutrin and on 150 of effexor i fealt great. But 3 days later i feel horible again.

Sister having horrible reactions during withdrawl from cymbalta and abilify. What can she do to help herself? She w as taken off both on Wednesday and put on prozac. Can she use tylenol for the headache? Someone told her it is not safe to do. Another person suggested melatonin. Is that safe? She is bi polar and has gained over 100 lbs on these meds over the last 6 years. This is ridiculous! Will she gain on prozac also? What is wrong with these psychiatrists, anyway?

So, my pdoc mixes in yet another drug in my ever growing cocktail - Abilify. The plan is to start taking this to better control my hypomania and depressed states when they happen since the lamictal doesn't seem to be doing it. She's asked me to use the Abilify at night in place of the lamictal and if that works, replace lamictal all together - no change to the cymbalta or lithium. Does anyone have any information on Abilify - has it worked, any side affects, etc?

hi I took my 2nd pill of abilfy last night and woke up this morning with a heartrate of 112...its usullay in the 68 to 72 range,could this be from abilify,,,,and im kinda dizzy...i called my pshy yesterday but didnt metion this and she told me i cant call her ever day or she can t be my dr.

I am currently on Cymbalta, Valium, and six days ago started Abilify after discontinuation of Depakote 500 mg daily due to weight gain of 50 pounds. I've written on here before about this but now would really appreciate some more feedback from anyone on Abilify. I just started it and have already gained five pounds, according to the scales. Hi I was wondering if anyone knew if the medication abilify could cause anxiety. My anxiety is so bad I don't know what to do. I am also on a low dose of prozac for depression. Abilify was added because the dr. thought i might be bi-polar. I dont think i am nor do my friends and family?? But recently the anxiety is unbearable i take xanax when it's really bad but it's has been so bad that i would have to take it once or twice a day and i really don't want to??? any suggestions??

i was on lexapro for 8 days dr stopped it put me on cymbalta and i was on cymbalta in 07 no allergic reaction i haved treid it since then but get scared and stop it if i was ok on it before should i have no problem with alergies and does anyone know of anyone thats been on cymbalta and klonopin and plus i will be going on abilfy on monday i haved fear of meds and think im allergic all the time i have just taking my second cymbalta 10 min ago and alreadt htink im allergic plus i seem unclear thin

3 weeks ago to Pristiq 50mg. The first week I took 30mg Cymbalta then 2nd week and since, no Cymbalta and only Pristiq (still taking buspar & Xanax prn) I feel I'm noticing small improvements in the past cpl weeks but not back to normal. Today is a rough day with anxiety/adrenaline/agitation. I so want outta this hole and praying it works for me. Anyone else have success switching to Pristiq? Would like to hear how long it took for ppl to notice a difference.

Pls ppl, Do not go onto any dose of Cymbalta w/o investigating it thoroughly. Thr is no exit strategy for Cymbalta and its half-life is only 12hrs; IOW, u cld be on Cymbalta 20mg for the rest of yr life b/c u cn't functn w/o it. Most of the ppl who hv tried to wean thmslvs off Cymbalta face awful serotonin w/drawal symptoms. It is not unusual tht Cymbalta patients hv broken the 20mg capsule and eliminated 1-2 pebbles (out of abt 50 in each capsule) per wk. it's a complete nightmare.

I just got taken off Abilify because of the involuntary movements. I'm diabetic as well and the Abilify was messing with my blood sugars. I already feel better!

STill not improving going to up abilify. She had a change on EEG. Anyone ever have a change on this test?

Then around 7 years ago I started getting panic attacks, so they put me on some benzos along with cymbalta and abilify. Cymbalta was the worst drug I'd ever been on; I felt like a walking zombie... not depressed, just not anything at all. I've been through three or four different talk therapists and a handful of psychiatrists. I've given up on both due to their lack of ability to listen (anyone else notice that?). I now just receive my rxs from my GP, which is fine...

I just started Pristiq and Im also on ativan and abilify............wondering if anyone else has taken these meds together.I felt great after taking the pill last night now today im kinda scared and spacey feeling...any thoughts?

has put me Abilify 2mg in am along with the Cymbalta with the plan to cut my Cymbalta dose while raising the Abilify. I tell ya, my feet hurt more, my legs hurt more and I feel more depressed and that's without cutting down on the Cymbalta yet. I also gain some weight and crave high carbs and sweets more than I did before Cymbalta alone and the 2 meds together. I've been on abilify for about 5 or 6 weeks. I hope this helps somehow on your daughters' desision.

i do better on medication but still struggle with focus, completeing tasks, starting new projects, anxiousness, worry. the doc and i are considering adding Abilify to the Depakote. anyone out there tried it. my understanding: it works best added to an antidepressant which Depakote isn't. I mix seroquel and abilify without issued only the Abilify has finally gotten my appetite under control and im losing weight Seroquel causes weight gain but nothing like the weight gain with Zyprexa.

I happen to take 4.5 mg. of Klonopin and 90 mg. of Cymbalta -- this combination of drugs has worked for me for a good number of years. In December my Doctor did increase my Klonopin by .5 mg. because I was just diagnosed with kidney cancer -- which did cause a wee bit of anxiety (cancer free now - thankfully - going on four months now!). The increase worked pretty good. I also have Ativan as PRN. If I happen to begin to get anxious, I can either swallow or place one under my tongue...

I am bipolar and have been on wellbutrin450mg, cymbalta 90mg, and lexapro 10 mg. I am also on respridal 1 mg to stablize my mood also xanax. They want to try Abilify but I am pre-diabetic and am afraid that would push me over the edge. I have no motivation and do nothing all day. I don't even know what I like when it comes to anything. I live with major dpression/anxiety and am currently on Wellbutrin XL 400mg, Cymbalta 90 mg, Lexapro 10 mg, Repridal 10 mg and Xanax 3 mg and a couple of other non related meds. My doctor is trying to raise my energy level and simplify my meds. W ould ambilify help with energy? She has previously been on Prozac and Effexor for depression and anxiety. In 2009 our oldest son (40) passed away. Since then her depression has gotten much worse. I took my first 2Mg pill yesterday and my second one today. I am on Cymbalta 60Mg and my doctor added this because of my sudden depression.

I know that, at least most, antipsychotics reduce the effectiveness of stimulants due to their dopamine blocking properties. Rexulti, like Abilify, is actually a partial dopamine agonist as opposed to a dopamine antagonist. How would a stimulant work in conjunction with a partial dopamine agonist like Rexulti? I am prescribe the Rexulti for depression/anxiety in conjunction with Prozac and Cymbalta. The Vyvanse is being added to treat my severe ADHD, I am the mostly inattentive type.
