Funny, I take Abilify and just got it and am on Medicare and it's covered. The only thing on the list you had that I know Medicare doesn't cover is the xanax as NO benzos are covered by Medicare. Luckily they are generic and cheap. Are you sure she's on Medicare... maybe you mean Medicaid and I don't know what they cover. On to your main point, yes take something for the headache.

i was takes off the abilify and serquel because it was causing my blood sugars to go up and my cholestrol and blood pressure. plus i gained 20 pounds. but i was happy felt good now i'm back to feeling depressed and sick.

I’m gaining weight on the abilify and I cannot take anymore. I am recovering from anorexia nervosa and have been at a healthy weight for a few months now so the added weight is unbearable. My question is if excessive sweating is a withdrawal side effect that anyone here has experienced and if so how long does this last? I've been out of work and am no longer able to afford my abilify and effexor. I've slowly stopped taking both to the point that I am no longer taking them. However yesturday I got a low grade headache and started vomitting. At first I thought it was a flu but now feel it's withdrawal from effexor. T oday I was sick to my stomach and had a headache,but I also had my tongue in such pain I could barely eat. Is this symptoms of withdrawal from effexor?

The thing they usually do is reduce the dose and wait until withdrawal symptoms go away and then reduce it some more.

I am on Abilify 10mg and seroxat 20mg. Is it possible to be pregnant on them and how easy is it to wean off seroxat? I have heard horrific stories about its withdrawal...

I dont think Abilify works for depression alone. I ran out of my effexor xr (antidepressant) and only took my abilify and was a real mess for a week.. It was as if i werent taking anything. The abilify doesnt work alone in my case. Its only a booster pill, so to speak. I was tearful and restless without my antidepressant. However that could have been withdrawal or something.

I was on Geodon for about two weeks and the side effects were horrible, and the withdrawal was even worse, and I had only been taking it for a short period of time. Is your doctor going to prescribe something different or are you going to attempt to go med free?

Instead you should gradually reduce the dose and keep taking the medication every day. If you push it too fast, you could have withdrawal effects for a long time and they can be really horrible--even a kind of psychosis can occur. Everyone is different with withdrawal. Three of my friends went off of it with no problem. I went off of it gradually with no problem, but I never did it the way you are doing it. So please talk to your doctor.

I switched between abilify(TD),respirdal,geodon to Seroquel and it was a horrible first two years my mouth and tongue tremors and body tremors

Okay so my doctor has decided to take me off of abilify but now Im having headaches. Is it because of the abilify and not being on it? Has anyone else experienced this? They are excruciating at times and I can't seem to rid myself of them. Ive put in a call to her office but no return call as of yet. Im just curious if the headaches are related to this because I wasn't having them until I went off the abilify as of last week.

Since starting abilify I have been seeing and dreaming strange things. It is almost to a point where it almost feels real. Also with the hearing voices and hearing other stuff it causes me to jump up straight (causing severe dizziness and nausea) from being asleep and i will go out my room door and look around in a daze but nothing is there. This happened since i started the meds.

Actually Ativan is more for anxiety and Abilify is more for depression but it can also help with anxiety. This is common practice, trust in your doctor. Best wishes.

I had two nights off meds and both nights I seem to have uncontrollable shaking like a fever, my body was freezing but my head was so hot I thought it was going to explode. Was this just because I didnt take my meds or just a coincidence, I am on epilim, olanzapine and something else I cant remember the name of but it can cause a fatal rash as a side effect if given too higher dose too quickly, I have only just started on this a few weeks ago.

I am on 90 mg of Cymbalta and just started 15 mg of Abilify for depression. My doctor has titrated me up on the Abilify gradually. My question is for anyone who take 15 mg of Abilify for depression. I'm withdrawing from Zyprexa, Abilify, Ativan and sertraline. It's been three weeks and I've had terrible nausea, stomach pain, fatigue, and generally not feeling good. How long will this last? And, any ideas on how to deal with mania since I can't just "knock myself out" like usual? I need to get enough sleep to stay out of the hospital!

Not to long ago I felt really depressed and went home one day and started taking the abilify and got presecribed abilify, I took it everday for a while but was still smoking. I stopped taking it again and I was depressed just not that many days ago. Now I dont feel depressed but emotionless. So I have a question related to the mix of antidepressants= For the last 18 months the doc added 50 mg's of topiramate and Abilify to a very old mix of sertraline 200mg and 2 mg of Lorazepham daily.. I had stopped functioning well and quit taking the new additional two scripts two weeks ago now it's like I have bugs in the LEFT side of my face and it's making me worried and sore-Is there a bad mix of the four together? I have only started the Abilify so far on day 3 … I was supposed to start together but I dropped the pristiq bottle and pills fell on floor now because of contamination ocd I can’t take them and insurance won’t pay for a refill yet so doctor says just take the Abilify for now , I’m noticing it is helping me to change my behavior versus the ssri just kinda helped me manage my existing behaviors but never had courage or motivation to change my behaviors so I’m hoping that’s where Abilify will come
