Started as abdominal pain, got worse over 5 days. Pain severe (7-8/10) when breathing deeply, pressing centre upper abdomen or lying on side. Pain sharp/stabbing in the centre &radiates to right&back. Pain a constant 2-3/10 when lying/standing in comfortable position and breathing into upper chest. Also fever occurred daily (~5h/day) reaching 38.5 accompanied by chills &muscle weakness, usually occurring in afternoon followed by drenching night sweats.
I have been feeling abdominal pain for the past 6-8months and its gradually getting worse. It seems that by about lunch everyday, just after breakfast and morning tea, I would feel pain in my lower abdomen, like cramping and painful bloating. It started off just being uncomfortable. Then it got to the stage where I was passing mucus and spots of blood with my bowl movements, and the bloating was so bad it hurt to sit; lying flat of my back is the most comfortable position.

So I went to the ER for pain on my side/abdominal and lower back area the other day the pain has been going on for a few weeks and they said they think it is viral pharyngitis but I do not have a soar throat anymore but I still have the awful side/abdominal and lower back pain (had one 3 weeks ago but went away) they said my results look normal when I was there and they sent me home with naproxen which doesn’t help.
I need help, so I ended up in the ER one day because of abdominal pain, the ER doc said everything looked normal and he thought it was something viral. I found the CT results from that day online. During the day of the CT I took contrast and threw it up so I'm not sure if that's why it was showing partial gastric outlet obstruction, the ER doc marked me for being allergic to the contrast too..
Basically in June started with testicle pain doc said was epididymitis. No cause was found as blood and urine was clean. Doc said viral and it would pass. It eventually passed. However there was an enlarged node found during ultrasound that was deemed reactive and benign. Fast forward four months. Node is still enlarged in groin, right side. I get pain in my hip, thigh, groin, flank regularly. Doctor thinks it in my head and I wish it was.

Hi, it is really frustrating to have various symptoms and the doctors tell you nothing special or nothing wrong. I'm also similar to your case; I have often the constant muscle, bone and joint pains as well as the pain on the right shoulder upto the upper right abdominal quadrant. Right now I'm having a terrible lower back right pain which makes it really hard for me to sit or bend down.
Also had continuing abdominal pain for few days and throat pain. I was wondering for a few days what could be causing these symptoms and suddenly reminded me of hiv. So yesterday, I went and got another antibody test which was a little over 3 months after the exposure and the results came back negative.
When you're pregnant you don't usually have bad abdominal pain. Maybe some crampiness. Sometimes bad ab pain is associated with constipation. Constipation is defined by how frequently you have a bowel movement, not necessarily the consistency.
If your doctor did a test that confirmed viral infection then that's another reason to have the pain. Good luck!

I am not sure about the exact location of the pain except that it is on the keft side of your abdomen. However, “whenever abdominal pain strikes, it shouldn't be ignored. By heeding symptoms early, you can spot the difference between a minor problem and a medical emergency.
