554409 tn?1218403468 I am in the process right now, which has taken 4 months already, to get a diagnosis for my lower right abdominal pain. The gastroenterologist thinks I have Crohn's disease, and I am in waiting right now to have a capsule endoscopy, and have no idea how long this wait is going to be. My problem is I am in agony, and if any one has any ideas of anything that can relieve abdominal pain I would greatly appreciate it.

Avatar f tn Hey, everyone! I'm new to this forum as well as the world of Dysautonomia. I am fourteen years old as of March. Over a year ago, I started having problems with chest pain. When we went to the doctor, she told us that it was most likely related to muscles, and that it probably wasn't serious. She told me to take Advil, and that I should be fine. I guess it never really went away, and I just learned to deal with it. In December or so, I started having issues with Orthostatic Intolerance.
Avatar f tn m not completely sure why but it starts with nausea and turns into full blown stomach pain and abdominal pain and a few times I had lower back pain to go with it. I've crossed out the thought of being pregnant because I've been on the pill and lately this stomach pain has been killing my sex life. And unfortunately I'm flat broke being a full time student that I cannot afford to see a doctor and I have a hard time getting $10-$20 to visit a local walk-in clinic. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn i get sever abdominal pain on my left side right below and around my ribs.... the pain gets so bad its hard to stay still, i have diabetes... what could this be? and what could be causing it?
Avatar m tn I have been suffering with abdominal pain for about a year and a half now, i had an endoscopy in January 2009 and was diagnosed with mild Gastritis and Reflux, i was given Nexium to take which i took for 4 months and felt better. After a couple of months it came back again but felt worse so i was told by the doctor to go back on Nexium again which i had taken for 3 months and the pain and burning had not gone away.
Avatar n tn Sometimes my back hurts along the same line as my front rib pain. I also have the same burning pain right above my navel. I thought it might be an ulcer, but when I started having pain in more than one area, I'm not so sure. My doctor gave me Protonix but it doesn't seem to work. Does anyone have any advice or ideas? Thanks in advance.

Avatar f tn My 20 year old daughter has experienced abdominal pain off and on for the last 5 years. She has been treated for GERD, IBS, Ulcers and stress. She has had gall bladder ultra sounds, an endoscopy, an upper GI with a small bowel follow through and most recently a gall bladder ejection fraction test. All tests have been normal, but the episodes continue to become more frequent, more intense and longer lasting. She worries constantly about when and where these episodes will occur.
Avatar f tn I too started to have upper abdominal pain after the birth of my 2nd son. I was found to have gallstones and had my gallbladder removed. Have you had this checked? Pregnancy can cause gallstones...... I have also found though that my problems after having my gallbladder removed have not gotten any better, and am being investigated for sphincter of oddi dysfunction. I hope you can get some answers and relief.

1415174 tn?1453243103 For sciatica I am only on Tylenol and Ibuprofen. I am getting pain still and very locked up. I also take Clonazepam and 10 mg Amitriptyline for cyclic vomiting syndrome (or abdominal migraine). I have been on the same dose for 30 years. I read that taking a higher dose than I am on of Amitriptyline can help back pain. Do you recommend that I ask my doctor for a higher dose to try? Do you think it would bring the pain down some?
Avatar f tn I am being put back on liquid diet, as surgery is not an option. Given morphine, instant relief, and extended relief for pain. Sometimes blockage is in one area, and doctors can go in resection intestines, and prob fixed. If blockage is complete, requires immediate surgey, and can result in needing colostomy bag, or tube to release gases. Other times the cells attach to different areas along the intestines, and surgery would cause more problems than good.
Avatar f tn Over-the-counter pain medications, warm compress and rest may help provide relief. However, if the abdominal pain persists, check with your doctor to rule out other causes. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I'm currently 21 weeks pregnant and was in so much pain with back muscle spasms that I went to the ER the other night. Once I was there the pain progressed to my upper abdomen causing difficulty breathing and I kept puking maybe from the pain. I'm allergic to morphine so the only pain meds they gave me was a percocet which I puked up about an hour later. I have since stopped puking but I still have pain I think this baby is laying on my diaphragm. Anyone have any advice?
Avatar f tn I have been suffering from upper abdominal pain since I was 19. I am 27 now. The pain comes and goes but this past year it has gotten worse. My doctor did a scope down my throat and didn't find anything. Then he tested my gall bladder didn't find anything. So now the pain is back I went to see him yesterday and he just looked at me and said well I dont know what's wrong with you. I am in so much pain. I am hungry and can't eat, it hurts to move around.

Avatar f tn I thought they would improve since going gluten free three years ago, but they have not. I have almost constant abdominal pain with running to the bathroom 5 to 8 times a day (Imodium only makes my pain worse). I have gotten down to 100 lbs several times because of lack of appetite and it is just too painful to eat. I will also have occasional bad 'bouts' where the pain is so intense for hours on end, that I end up on my closet floor screaming.
Avatar n tn My 13 year old son has been dealing with severe abdominal pain for 4 weeks now. He received a few hours of relief after an ER visit and given a "migraine cocktail" of Reglan, Benadryl and Toradol. Unfortunately the next day the pain returned and is continuing. We have seen a GI specialist. 18 months ago endoscopic exams were normal and he was diagnosised with abdominal migraines.
Avatar m tn Why would my temperature be going backward at times if I have a normal body temp of 98.6? And what could be going on with all of these abdominal cramps and pain, feeling as though I am in label with these cramps and pain that radiates into my lower back and buttock region, with soreness to the touch. I was once diagnosed with sciatica nerve damage. What could be wrong with me, as a 68 year old female? Thank you kindly for your response..........
