Avatar f tn It sounds like your son has Fatty Liver Disease along with an enlarged spleen which could be causing him abdominal pain. Has he seen a pediatric cardiologist for his chest pain? True heart related chest pain is very rare in children as the cause is a lack of bloodflow to the heart muscle which is a problem found in adults who have Coronary Artery Disease. Sometimes children who suffer from Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy which is a disease of the heart muscle itself, can also have true chest pains.
Avatar m tn A few hours later, after watching television in bed, laying on my right side, I began to feel a very dull pain in my lower right abdomen about an inch or two to the right of my navel and it extends from about an inch above where the navel is to about half an inch below. It wasn't severe at all and just kind of came and went. The pain doesn't get better or worse when I stand up, walk, touch the area or anything else that might trigger the pain.

Avatar f tn Has any doctor suggested it's an intussesception? It's not uncommon in children, but kind of rare in adults, and because of that, can be hard for a doctor to identify and sort from other possibilities. Here's from another website talking about intussesception: "The most common symptom is abdominal pain that comes and goes. Nausea and vomiting also may occur. People sometimes have symptoms for weeks before seeking medical attention.
Avatar n tn I took benadryl for the hives and layed down in a fetal position until the pain passed. This episode lasted about 30 minutes and gradually subsided with the pain and hive slowly fading at about the same rate. I dont know if this could have anything to do with it, but I have had a week long sinus infection and I have had chronic constipation for about 3 years though it has been manageable. I do not have any extra stress or anxiety.
