Avatar f tn I'm 36 weeks, 2-3 days (my doctor's office says I'm a day ahead of what my app says) and every so often, I get this feeling in my abdomen as if I have just completed in "Insanity" style ab workout. I've got that burning, tense abdominal muscle sensation. It's hard to describe it's not exactly like contractions, it's more like a constant tense feeling. Has anyone else felt this being in their 3rd trimester?
547181 tn?1255146506 It also helps with quite a few ailments. A rebounder looks like a small trampoline, but it is firm. If you should get a rebounder be sure it is a good quality and NOT a small trampoline. Google it to read more about rebounding. One does not jump up and down on it like on a trampoline, but one mostly does exercising standing and bouncing. You start out with a minute several times a day and then work it up very slowly. As you know, I'm not treating, yet.
Avatar n tn Hey everyone. I was looking for an ab workout routine on the internet and I came across one of those old 'Eight Minute Abs' videos on Youtube. It was basically just eight minutes of different types of crunches so I figured it was as good a place as any to get started. So, I did the routine and I did, in fact, feel the burn so to speak in my abs. I'm in moderate physical shape and it was a bit difficult getting through the whole eight minutes, so I guess that's a good thing.
Avatar n tn I have eliminated any kinds of ab workouts, I do a quick simple arm and leg routine and then do 2o min on my elliptical. Some days I am all full of energy and have to remind myself that I set a time limit for a reason. Other days, I don't feel like doing anything! My lil workout is how I end the day. The kids are in bed, so is my so. I clean then I take my workout as some me time. Then shower and bed. Lol, it is almost 1am and I am still trying to convince myself to just do it.
Avatar m tn Studies show that the best results for your toning is by changing the routine of your workout, so do a different ab video, everyday! Also for some people every other day of working out shows better results. That's up to you! For a diet there are certain foods like pine apple that supposedly take away blotting in the stomach. Hope I helped!
395769 tn?1318449682 m 4 weeks pregnant and because of a past miscarriage paranoid about continuing my usual workout. It consists of a mix of cadio strength training and ab workout for a 20minute non stop work out. Do you all think it is safe to continue ?? Am I being paranoid?? I don't have an appointment until next week.
Avatar f tn And be careful about many ab exercises, since many can cause back problems later on. In fact, most crunches work the lower back as hard as they do the abs, and all that twisting can be a strain. Not that anyone knows how to best work the abs, though, as far as I can tell. For six pack abs, quite frankly, most who have them don't get them through exercise -- it's a sure sign of steroid use, since the belly should have some fat.
Avatar n tn I should have added, it also depends on what you do when you do abs. If you're just doing a few abs every day, no problem. But if you're devoting a day to ab day and are doing an intensive ab workout, you need to skip a day in between -- muscles get built because you essentially damage them when you overexert them lifting weights and it's the repair process that makes them larger. That takes some rest.
Avatar f tn What was you ladies workout routine afteryou got cleared to workout? Did it hurt when you first started working out? How soon did you see results?
Avatar f tn Pregnancy brain wrong work lol .. depends on your workout I know some that worked our until their due date also. She ran the morning she went in labor even.
Avatar f tn Strong abdominal muscles without a strong back pose a higher risk of back issues than having weak ab muscles. Every ab workout should include back exercises. Some ab exercises already engage back muscles such as planks or Pilates. Exercises that target the back include the lumbar extension, which involves laying prone on the floor or a ball, and lifting your head and shoulders by using your back muscles. You can have your hands on the floor or ball for support, but don't use them to push.
Avatar f tn Whenever I do abs exercise, during workout I notice sticky transparent fluid discharged from my penis. Is it normal?
Avatar f tn Jogging a mile every other day, crunches and some ab workout videos. Also started a plank challenge around the same time. After a few days, my stomach was sore to be expected but since then, I've been getting these weird stomach cramps that lasted a few days. All day yesterday, my stomach felt fine until I jogged a mile at lunch. About an hour later, my stomach feels tight right under my navel and there is this consistent dull ache.
266539 tn?1281402152 I want to lose 25 pounds in the next year and a half and I know most of my problem is having no workout plan. My problem is that if it is longer than like 20 minutes I get bored and annoyed so I quit. I want something that is no longer than 20 minutes a day. I was looking at a package that had a big ball in it, a toning ring, 3lbs. soft weights, and a some bands that you streach out but it was $40 and I just didn't know if that was worth it.
616227 tn?1251076398 Well, since that ab workout also worked quads, I couldn't do them. I worked quads yesterday. BUT, just to make you happy, Skailark, I did crunches with bicycle legs - even though I did my regular 100 crunches yesterday in class. Yep, I'm gonna just love you tomorrow, Sergeant! FYI: It's okay to work abs EVERY DAY, but not other muscle groups. The instructor I had yesterday is heavy on legs, so we did tons of lunges and squats - and I was toting a 12lb body bar.
676912 tn?1332812551 I know I shouldn't be asking "is this a sign" questions, but...I just got back from the gym about 30 min ago, still don't know if I'm getting a BFP or not so I wasn't hard on myself at all. I did 15 on the bike, and didn't go very fast, and 15 on the elyptacal (sp?) which is just like running or walking, and I did a fast walk. Now my abdomen hurts....any clue? Could it be a sign of pregnancy?
Avatar f tn t know what the recovery time is and if I went back too soon? I just want to feel better and I still feel like I did an extreme ab workout and it's miserable. I just need advice!
3136696 tn?1342709226 I vote for hernia, even tho it's not painful. You should see your regular doc and ask him to refer you to a surgeon who can put everything back together for you. The reason I concluded hernia is because you said you felt a pop when sneezing, lifting, and ab workout. That's precisely what causes a hernia, any of the three, the abdominal muscles rip away and the insides will bulge out in that spot.
Avatar f tn If your a healthy weight range, and your already eating healthy and active, it's natural for women to have some fat reserves on their legs, otherwise your bones or period can be severely or permanently affected. This is really important if your still growing. For strength and toning, inner leg lifs, squats, lunges would be good. leg press, hamstring machiens at gym might be ok...
Avatar f tn Im about 5 weeks pregnant. Can i still do ab workouts? I lost 25lbs un 3 months and i got pregnant. I workout 3-5 days a week. I want to stay in shape throughout my pregnancy so i can bounce back to normal after giving birth.
Avatar f tn It feels like what a huge bruise would feel like, only on the inside of my body. I had to stop doing this ab workout because the pain takes my breath away. What do you do when you have pain like that? Do you push through the workout? Do you listen to your body telling you something isn't right? Do I ice it, massage it, or put something warm on it?
Avatar f tn I do jogging or cycling in the morning aswell as Pilates and some ab exercises and bum exercise. I have a workout that I do in the afternoon around 7 and it's 25 minutes long it's called t-25.
Avatar f tn I have found that it helps calm down the morning sickness and helps with my fatigue levels. I have been doing a low key workout which includes Ab work, lower back exercises, glute work and Kegel exercises. I have found some great videos on YouTube for 1st trimester workouts. Pilates and pre-natal Yoga come highly recommended.
