Common Questions and Answers about Ab exercise for lower back pain

exercise

Avatar n tn Before I knew it I was dealing with lower back pain everyday for 3 wks. I was forced to just walk for exercise since the back pain didn't allow me to do much else. Well one Monday (going on to the 4th week of this) I woke up and was not able to stand because of the extreme pain. I called my dr. and they gave me drugs...I saw a chiropractor, didn't help one bit. Had x-rays done, nothing wrong. The steroids they gave me help some but as the dosage was lowering the pain was getting stronger!
Avatar f tn Some smaller spider veins on legs, sm. broken vessels (dots) on arms. Pain for 6 months upper abd. kind of sharp, lower around belly is sort of dull and like heavy weights are inside, pushing down and out. Stomach fully distended. When I gain weight, I do not gain on stomach but on thighs. Past few days pain in chest and around breasts.
Avatar n tn Am I on the right track to fixing this annoying lower back pain? Thanks for your time/help. I've been reading everyone's posts, and have gotten some ideas. Thanks!
Avatar n tn At the same time I have very minor right lower back pain with numbness of my lower right leg. The pain in the lower right leg can be severe at times.I do not have pain in my stomach but that can also be the sign of sciatica. I also developed this out of the blue (unlike you when you run) and the conditions remain in time. Really my main problem is the right testicle pain. I would like to hear more about yours what symptoms you had in the past.
1849376 tn?1319213597 I am new to this site. I am 52, have become vegan 2 months ago and in relatively good health. I exercise 3-4 times a week. Dont do any ab exercises, but do cardio & weights. For the last week I have been experiencing lower RT & LF quadrant pain. Sometimes together, sometimes just one side. Wasnt sure if my ovaries or my lymph nodes as the pain in somewhere in that regional area and hard to know exactly. So, after a week of this pain (it comes and goes)...
Avatar n tn My first sign was lower, right ab pain, lower back flank pain, frequent urnination (up to 26 times a day). Always treated for chronic Urinary Tract Infections even though my tests came back negative. IC is a disease that effects the bladder by actually hardening it and exposing the nerves to the acid in your urine. It can cause all sorts of problems and men do suffer from it as well as women. Doctors don't think of it because it's a relatively new disease.
Avatar m tn I also get cramping to my abdo during exercise, similar to period pain. Sometimes the pain goes into my lower back / kidney area. I have got this for years. Not neccessarily after long bouts of exercise but after short intense bursts. I have seen many doctors and none of them have any idea what it is. I am fit and regularly keep well hydrated. I willI document my fluid intake and exercise and test this dehydration theory anyway, will let you know how i go.
Avatar m tn Stretching the ham string muscles regularly will often relieve pain in the lower back. Stretching the low back muscles themselves helps. Light weight lifting and things like doing the super man mat move will strengthen the back overall and you need good ab muscles to help with good low back muscles. Lots of youtube videos for this. Ibuprofen always helps in the short term.
Avatar m tn I can't sit down for very long as it's painful and when I move its like I've over done some exercise and muscle pain but it's not from any exercise . It can be quite a bad ache on my lower right back then starts to ache a the front if I walk. Now I've noticed a slight greenish discharge (sorry men) I went for a ultrasound about two months ago came back clear then they decided to give me a ultrasound examination of my uterus they said was clear .
Avatar f tn my name is Reese 29 years old, me too again I need a surgery again last 2011 my right fallopian tube removed because twisted I have Open surgery like CS I rest for 12 weeks, last Dec 2013 I am diagnosed with 2 large ovarian cysts I have so much pain I will wait for my appointment for surgery again I really hate this cysts I hope my cysts not a cancer I am depressed :(
Avatar n tn Mid 20s, have developed mild pain in testicles, groin and lower left ab over the past week/week and a half. Pain has been persistent and nagging, but manageable (able to walk miles at a time with little pain). No noticeable lumps, either... Any ideas?
Avatar n tn ) Okay, for the last couple of days, i've been experiencing some lower ab and some light right side discomfort. If i'm lying down flat and apply pressure right above the navel, it causes some pain in that area. Bowel movements have been for the most part normal, and urinating is normal. When I sit down at the computer, it tends to feel a little crammed in my ab area above the navel, and just a little discomfortable in the right side.
Avatar n tn My pain is in the morning while sleeping in the lower ab and lower to halfway up my back. It seems to ease up a bit when I get upright and moving but it does not fully go away. I'm 5'3" 170lbs. I've been at this weight for 3 years so I don't think that its my weight alone.
Avatar n tn in the pills- it seemed to help for a few days then I was right back to the pain-but I am still on them (now for 4 weeks)to see if they'll kick in.. Same thing with Noni juice- tried it- seemed great for about a week- then I was back to the drawing board. I just had my blood drawn for a wheat allegy test- this might be part of my problem....I am thinking of going to an internal medicine doc next...or maybe an allegy specialist..
Avatar f tn So ive gained 80 pounds since ive been pregnant nd i lost 20 then gained it right back ivr never been so fat and to top it off i started to go back to work i have the worst back pain idk what to do constantly complaining cuz hurts so bad nd huge headaches aswell def not healthy at the moment:(
Avatar n tn ( but, I did get relief and I was told that I could have a colonoscopy every six months to help with the pain of the adhesions since I was told they would grow back. Ah, no thanks. My exercise instructor introduced me to a thing called Yumana's body rolling (Yumana is the name of the woman who studies and promotes this type of help). It is a deep deep massage that uses a ball that you roll on and it essentially gets blood to the bone and not just the muscle and it breaks up the adhesions.
Avatar n tn I just read all the way to the end of this thread, and boy, does this all sound FAMILIAR!!! You recite my symptoms exactly -- pain in lower rt abdomen, can radiate to hip, lower back. Comes and goes -- have it for a few weeks and it goes away, sometimes just a nagging ache, sometimes worse...can be made to hurt more with twisting, physical activity, intercourse... It's recurred for me for about 14 years. Wow, that sounds like a long time. But I'm 26 and first noticed it when I was 12.
Avatar n tn It is hard to see how those small cysts could explain your back pain. Your description of the back pain sounds very much like a spine/ bony hip problem. You may have a slipped disc or have misaligned your back. Sitting is worse than standing or walking around for those types of problems. You should see your primary doctor and get x rays of your back. depending on the problem , usually exercise, acupuncture, non steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs can help.

Avatar n tn I'm going to see my endocrinologist next Friday and see if they can arrange for a upper and lower GI to be done. I had one done when I was 13 and they found out I had a spastic colon then. Don't anymore, as far as I know. Sure didn't have any of these current symptoms back then. I know something is wrong. I just don't know what. Thank you so much for your reply. Have you had any tests done yet? If so, what kind?
748543 tn?1463449675 For the past few weeks I have been throwing around ideas as to the best way to respond to this matter. You see a recent article ( Feb.3 , 2009 NY times) titled "Best treatment for TMJ May be Nothing" nearly made me clench my jaw to pieces. While well written, I found that the author, Ms. Brody, relied heavily on out dated and narrow perspective supplied to her by a small group of dentists.
1701959 tn?1488555141 Anyway, About a year ago I under went a cardio work up due to PVCs.All came back well but during that testing I developed a pain under my left breast. It came and went, never very sharp but dull ache. My PCP did a full work up, sonogram of my upper ab., Chest Xray, spine xray.... all came back well. Then she went on to have a Chest CT Scan with contrast (about 8 months ago) and after that a thoracic MRI. She said all came back good except for a slight slipped disc in my neck....
Avatar n tn This past week the ab pain / pressure continued but now I have lower back pain as well, w/ some pain up the sides of my back. I finally went in the ER Friday Aug 29. Still blood in urine. CBC normal, though ER doc said all the antibiotics could possibly mask something. Renal CT scan showed 1 mm stone in right kidney, 2 even smaller stones in left kidney. Was given hydrocodone for pain and phenagren in case pain meds cause nausea and told to see a urologist asap.
Avatar n tn I have a lab in 3 1/2 hours and I cannot sleep due to crying over pain in my lower back where my gallbladder used to be. I have had this pain since my gallbladder was removed 3 years ago. This is the most severe it has been since the removal. I have been up crying for hours, and cannot take any thing for the pain since I have labs to check my cholesterol in the morning. When my gallbladder was removed the doctor did tell me that stones could form in the duct again.
Avatar n tn My wb came back pos for exposure hsv 1,neg for hsv 2. I know it is far from end of the world this came back pos, but given I had an affair it has bigger ramifications for my marriage. Final questions if you could.... 1).I had relations with this woman 4 times, first in june, last early aug. Never did she have any cold sores. I've had apthous ulcers badly this summer, but NO cold sores. I had cold sores corner of my mouth as a child but none as adult.
Avatar n tn After 3 and 1/2 weeks from laparoscopy (due to ectopic pregnancy), I thought I was finally getting better, and then three days ago suddenly I started getting severe lower back ache and stabbing pain on the side of surgery. The pain is so bad that I even could not drive home from work today. Sitting up and pushing gas was too hard. But my OBGYN told me it's a normal pain after surgery, and she could not do anything about it.
