4-0 monopril suture

Common Questions and Answers about 4-0 monopril suture

monopril

Avatar f tn This can be avoided by feeding the end of a 0 polypropylene suture through the groove on the inner curve of a Lockhart-Mummery probe. The other end of the suture is again passed through the tract, leaving both free ends at the external opening. This creates a loop at the internal opening through which a vascular sling is placed. The suture is drawn through and the sling tied loosely. The knot is secured with a silk stitch to prevent it slipping.
Avatar f tn i have been on monopril(fosinopril) for many years- and it also helps to protect the kidneys. since starting Tx my BP spiked, and they added Tiazac.
Avatar f tn A bit of history for you, i gave birth to my son, alexander, naturally at 23wks, he was prem and passed away (bless him), i then fell pregnant with my daughter, I had a cervical suture put inplace but needed a c section due to bleeding and breach, i then fell pregnant ith my second son, once again, cervical suture and c section. I would just love to have the suture removed at 36wks and be left alone! what are the chances?!!??!
15695260 tn?1549593113 Common medications in this class of drugs are commonly used medications such as captopril (Capoten), fosinopril (Monopril), lisinopril (Prinivil or Zestril), perindopril (Aceon), ramipril (Altace) and trandolapril (Mavik). It should be noted that this research was not done as a clinical trial but rather an 'observational study' where older adults with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia were being studied. About a quarter were on ACE inhibitors and they observed this benefit.
Avatar m tn Hello First of all sorry for my weak english I have a question and I would appreciate if someone can help me Im a dentist and last week I was working on a patient who denied any medical problems. While suturing suddenly he was in pain and he turned his face away and the suture needle 3-0 stick my point finger. I took out my glove and i did not see blood coming out except after I washed the area and presses a little bit.
Avatar f tn I am now almost 4 weeks post-op and am still experiencing redness and itching around the incisions. The generalized hives are gone. I have had a ten day regimen of antihistamines and Clobetesol salve. Currently, I am using only the Clobetesol once a day. Does anyone have any experience with Vicryl suture allergies? I should add that the incisions themselves are raised and feel hard. So far, the incisions are clean and have had no drainage or sutures popping through.
Avatar f tn I am a 41 year old female with general good health. I excersize 4 - 5 days a week. I had a congenital aortic valve; I had endocarditis in 1991 and a porcine replacement in 1995. I again had endocarditis with a pregnancy in December, 2002 and had a homograft with root in March of 2003. I notice that I have extreme fatigue for approximately 4 - 5 hours following excersize with cardio and weights. My physician is located 2 hours away, so I do not have regular check ups. What could this be?
Avatar f tn Unfortunately you must follow up with your surgeon for answers. If it is a suture that has been around for 4 months and causing symptoms perhaps it can be removed in the office.
Avatar m tn Suture site reactions refer to allergic-type, inflammatory skin reactions that some cats and other animals develop because of the type of suture being used in the surgical incision repair. Basically, suture site reactions are immune-mediated inflammatory reactions that occur when the cat's body decides to reject the foreign bodies (the sutures or stitches) that the vet has just implanted into the skin.
Avatar n tn I had my breast augmentation revision surgery a little over 4 weeks ago. At the 4-week mark, I put a very thin layer of aquaphor along my incision. The next morning I woke up with a blood stain on the gauze. In the next couple of days, whenever I lay down, and my bra irritated the incision line I suppose, then I bled... it soaked through the gauze. This happened two times. In between, the bleeding will stop.
Avatar f tn Since my vitrectomy/ERM peel 7 days ago, no scleral buckle, no other complications so far for which I am very grateful, I have had sharp pains in different areas of surface of the eye every day. This I am told is due to a suture that may take up to 10 more days to dissolve. Tylenol takes the edge off but doesn't relieve pain entirely. Feels like there are pieces of glass in my eye. When I sleep I get relief. I am taking drops 4 x per day - Pred Forte and Zymar.
Avatar f tn Hello! I had a laparotomy in March 2011 to remove 4 ovarian cysts (I have endometriosos). Lately I have been getting really bad sharp, shooting pains near the top of my incision and a little to the right of my incision. I told my surgeon and she thinks it's my internal sutures causing my pain. She did a trigger point injection, but it did not help. I still have the pain and have began to bleed a little as well (spotting).
Avatar f tn I had a breast reduction done six months ago and has developed rashes around the suture wounds and across the areolas on both breasts. I also have constant fever, scratching nausea, tiredness etc . I also developed water blisters on my left foot at the same time. I have been put on antihistamines for both day and night and steroid cream for the rashes.I have had this for at least 4 weeks now.
Avatar m tn And a couple weeks after surgery i puled a internal suture from the incision area, and about a week later i pulled another internal suture string from the incision area again. Where the staples were on the outside. Should I worry. I wanted to hear from somebody other than the surgeon who did the work.
Avatar m tn Well after this it still is going away and went to my doctor again and said it could be an issue with my suture from my surgery in my lower area (thus explaining the puffy eye) as it looks alittle loose. I was still given anti-inflamatory drops as they said it should help with the inflamation I have made an appointment with my retina specialist but she talked about given the sutures a "tug"....Now to my question 1. Does a loose suture threaten the buckle? 2.
Avatar n tn I agree that it needs to be looked at more closely but would disagree with the "get stitched up" comment. Bleeding from the incision three months out is most likely due to a residual suture that is serving as a nidus of infection. Your body can't completely fight the infection if there is foreign body such as a suture present.
Avatar f tn The tiny red lump could be a stitch granuloma that can result secondary to the fibrosis around the suture that was not completely absorbed (in case an absorbable suture was used during the lumpectomy). With this, wound healing will be impaired until the non-absorbed suture is removed. After 9 days, the wound should be healing well already, if not completely healed. You should go back to your surgeon to have it checked. Good luck.
Avatar n tn s lip.Accidentally the suture needle stabbed my finger.I squeezed my finger and a little bleeding, then I washed my finger. The patinet denied he was an HIV positive.I know the rate of this way to get hiv is about 0.3%.The suture needle is solid.I want to know am I at risk?
Avatar f tn I had a small, brownish, triangular item come out which caused bleeding for a couple of hours. I was told it was probably a suture clip. Should these come out? should I be concerned?
Avatar f tn Thanks for your question. For sure you should bring this to your surgeons attention. Suture material may be a bit slow to absorb in this area so this may be nothing more than protracted inflammation as a consequence of persistent suture material. Still 8 weeks is getting a little far out for persistent inflammation so I am certain your doctor will want to know you still have a painful spot on the perineum.
Avatar m tn I had surgery 4 months ago and had an easy recovery so far. I was skiing 10 weeks after surgery and still feel pretty well. Last week when I was washing my hair I noticed that...what feels like are 3 suture knots are poking from my incision. Incision is slightly red. No drainage. No swelling. No fever. No other issues...just tender areas. Seeing neurosurgeon on Monday. Thoughts?
Avatar n tn The fragment was removed two weeks after the original surgery and a single suture removed four days later. Now, twelve days after the surgery, my vision is 20/40, and what I have found is a decided worsening of astigmatism since removal of the fragment. I am concerned that 12 days after the first surgery my vision was better than the same time lapse after the second surgery. Is that to be expected? I am also concerned about the possibility of irregular astigmatism.
Avatar m tn Is this a normal result of the eye needing to heal after the suture removal or possibly something else? The doctor had said he had to make a large wound to get ReZoom out.
