My blood cortisol level is high. My doctor ordered a 24 hour urine test. I am currently taking fluconazole tablets & miconozole cream for a yeast infection. Also, I used topical cortisone cream on my face yesterday. I plan to collect the urine tomorrow. Will any of this interfere with the results?

AM ccrtisol has been between 1 and 5, below range low of 6.7. although cortisol stimulated to 13.7. Dr ordered 24 hour urine for catecholamines in July and December. both times epinephrine NE <5 &<6 below clinical reportable range. In July he said first test was incomplete but looked normal but ordered again all other parts of both test are normal. husband is very anxious. I also asked about his anaphylaxis to wheat that came on when he was 56.
Now they gave me a jug to put all my urine in for the next 24 hours to see my protein levels. I have NEVER heard of this before.. Has anyone had this done or heard about it?? Reacting first to the title of your question, before reading anything else: No STD can start to cause symptoms in under 24 hours. 2-3 days is the minimum, and for most STDs it's a week or more.

My question is, I am doing this over the weekend and I have a baby shower to go to on Sunday as well as a birthday party on Saturday night so the only time I can really do this is starting tomorrow through Saturday afternoon. BUT, the lab isn't open on Saturdays, so is leaving the urine in my refrigerator ok for 1 1/2 days after completing the sample???
