I have my 1 hour Glucose test next Monday at noon. and i know with my first son i had to go and do the 3 hour one due to me having ate too much before. and im just gonna have a a bagel with cream cheese and a bottle water around an hour or so before. should i be ok and pass?

i am pregnant with baby number 4 and had my 1 hour glucose test and I failed it. I have never had a problem with this before. Now I have to take the 3 hour test and I'm kinda worried about the outcome and possibly having gestational diabetes! Any advice???

My doctor told me to eat but nothing high in sugar. Its just the one hour test. You don't fast for the one hour test you fast for the 3 hr test. Don't get anything that turns to sugar instantly like pasta. Good luck!!

You drink this sugary drink and the an hour later they draw blood from you. The 3 hour one you have to fast, they draw your blood first and drink the sugary drink again , then after an hour they draw blood and again after another hour has passed.

I took my glucose test yesterday and it was the 1 hour one and my levels were elevated apparently. So now I have to go back and take the 3 hour one on Monday. Has anybody had experience with this where they failed the 1 hour and passed the 3 hour? I'm worried and just want to pass it.

I failed the 1 hour & all the 3 hour results came back completely normal, it doesn't necessarily mean anything. don't stress, just follow the diet they give you.

31 weeks took glucose 1 hour and failed im freaking out now! I know there has been posts on this but i dont have the patience to search endless posts for it right now.I have not freaked out since the middle of my second trimester! Im soooo mad! I had to change doctors.just to get this test because the dr i was seeing did not even give me blood work and i was seeing her every 2 to 3 weeks since i was 7 weeks. I kept asking and she just push me out. Anyways she was an incompetent doctor!

I was just wanting to get more information on the 1 hour glucose testing. I know they make you drink some sugary stuff and wait an hour and then they take blood but I was wondering what else it entailed. Do you have to fast before the test? etc.

I failed my 1 hour sugar test. My number was 158 and I even fasted for it. I now have to go Monday morning for the 3 hour test. I know I have to fast again. I do not want to get any false negatives so I am not looking to stay clear of all the "bad" foods but I am trying to watch and cut back on what I eat, which I thought was not bad. ve done the test in the past, at 10 and 17 weeks, at 17 weeks I failed my 1 hour with a 156, and passed my 3 hour with very good numbers! Now I think I failed my 1 hr, and they won't let me know till next week! They take for ever to call with results!

170 is high they usually want it below 135. Did you eat before the 1 hr. I know they say you can but a lot of times it gives a false positive. You'll go in for a 3 hour test, they'll treat your blood sugar have you drink that drink abs test every hour after.

They will probably just make you do the 3 hour glucose test. I didnt pass my 1 hour but i did pass my 3 hour hour. Im sure your fine, your doctor will tell you what he wants to do next.

Ok so I just got my results for the 1 hour test and it was 149 and so I have to go back and have a 3 hour fasting test in the morning. Is 149 bad or just Ok? I know nothing about glucose levels and just curious if anyone has gotten around what I did and passed the 3 hour test. I know everyone is different just wanted to know. All my blood work has been off this hole pregnancy and they can't explain why.

Hi, I failed my 1 hour glucose test also with a 143 which was barely above the cut off of 140.I had the 3 hour test this past week and got my results back today, and thankfully I passed. Good luck to everyone!
