zyrtec

Avatar f tn Okay. Thank you!
Avatar n tn Hi, the drugs you have mentioned are Histamine H1 Antagonist, belonging to Second Generation. These are newer anti histaminics which are devoid of sedation. That is the main advantage over the first generation anti histamines. Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine.
Avatar f tn Clartin, zyrtec and benadryl are fine. I would also recommend using a neti pot. It takes a couple of tries to get use to but it does help.
Avatar n tn I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good? Your help is greatly appreciated. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar f tn For ladies with Allergies what are you taking or doing. Claritin just doesn't seem to be doing the job. I am a stuffy, sneezey mess with watery eyes half the time. And I need to function so Benadryl is not an option unless I am able to sleep all day.
Avatar f tn Check with the doctor but he will more than likely firmly recommend Claritin and warn against Benadryl. keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I've been on Claritin/Zyrtec my whole pregnancy. I know Claritin is approved, I believe Zyrtec is fine too.
Avatar f tn I am a major allergy sufferer! Clarifying and Zyrtec are safe to take. However! Do not get the ones with the "D" added onto them (claritin d) because that is either not studied enough yet or not recommended. I take claritin as needed. "They" say it might be bad for allergies this spring with the late start. Exercise indoors. Take care and hopeb this is helpful. We are also allowed Benadryl but that you would need to call about. ...

7165624 tn?1395647767 I was told by my doctor that you can take just about anything but to stay away from the d. Take Claritin but not Claritin D, etc... Look for that d word on any sinus or allergy meds.
Avatar f tn he told me i could take benydryl zyrtec and claritin. of course ask your doctor but thats what he told me.
Avatar f tn HORRIBLE ALLERGIES! it depends what works for you. My doctor has gave me the okay on zyrtec, benedryl, and claritin. Avatar f tn You can take Zyrtec and Benadryl idk about claritin
Avatar m tn Never was able to find a cause but my doctor had be start taking an everyday allergy medication like Zyrtec or Claritin. Once I started that the hives went away and haven't came back. I would first see if you can find a common irritant you can eliminate. If not try taking Zyrtec or Claritin.
1274661 tn?1301868321 Thanks, Selma. I do take the zyrtec at night, but I guess it is not enough. Last time I was at the doctor he told me to take claritin-D in the morning and zyrtec at night. I really didn't want to try the claritin-D because it is a decongestant and they make me feel crazy and just seem to drain everything into my chest. Maybe I can ask about taking regular claritin in the morning and zyrtec at night. May I ask what you are and were taking?
Avatar f tn Zyrtec is catagory B, it is just much newer than Claritin, so it is not on lists made more than 5 or 6 years ago. It wasn't on the printed list from my OB but she told me it was safer than Claritin. I had been taking Zyrtec daily before I found out I was pregnant, she said Zyrtec is one of the only drugs safe in the first trimester. Benadryl is on the avoid in first trimester list.
Avatar f tn I have suffered with allergies throughout this whole pregnancy. I use Claritin and Zyrtec. Also netti pot helps. Good luck it's annoying as ever.
Avatar f tn Claritin or zyrtec is what you can take they told me to get zyrtec for mine I'm 30w5d now but in the beginning of my pregnancy I took claritin they gave me a paper of medications safe to take and for allergies it says either one of those are safe
Avatar n tn A good initial treatment is a nasal steroid spray, like Flonase. Zyrtec or Claritin might also be effective. If medical management does not work, immunotherapy (allergy shots) might be required to desensitize you to the things to which you are allergic.
Avatar f tn I take Zyrtec and Claritin. My doctor said it was ok. Unfortunately that doesn't relieve my congestion issues. Runny or stuffy nose every day. I just started using the Neti pot. But I have been really uncomfortable with this issue. But good luck.
