I was given Bactrim DS for a healing hematoma on my lower leg. However, I took 5 doses of this and started intching. I quit taking it and the hives and itching still hasn't gone away. My last dose was Monday 03/09/09 in the am. I'm taking benadryl and Aveno oatmeal baths but I'm going nuts with this itching. How much longer before this gets out of my system??

That doesn't do anything to me ;/ I was on high dose with allegra, zyrtec, atarax, and a few others and the sprays before pregnant. Over the counter med doesn't help but thank god today got better after the bloody nose.

t doing well and you raised them on your own to see if it would help which is never a good idea? What is the dose that you are taking? What dose did you take today? I could give you some more information then. But more importantly if you are starting to feel sick then you might have taken above what is the reccomended maximum dosage and clearly you are encountering some side effects.

Does anyone know if you can grow resistant to antihistamines? I've been on Zyrtec for a year and feel like it doesn't work as well as it used to. I know that I have more allergens around me but would think I still should be getting relief. I spend at least $100 a month trying to get some relief.
