zyrtec

1119036 tn?1259534815 25mg 3-4 times a day (purepac from Walgreens) I have switched to Xanax XR .5mg 2 a day (greenstone, from Walgreens) The XR version of Xanax doesn’t kick in as fast as the regular Xanax but it does last a lot longer with less ups and downs. Just a thought for you to discuss with your doctor P.S. Greenstone is a subsidiary of Pfizer so I hear they are highly recommended.
Avatar f tn I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
Business man2 This drug is still available as a generic, it looks like the price of the drug has increased due to higher cost for Walgreens to purchase it. I'm afraid the other drugs available for BPH will probably be as or more expensive than Doxazosin, but I would check with your local Walgreens pharmacist for more price options.
Avatar n tn In the mean time pick up some generic Zyrtec or Claritin. It should help.
Avatar f tn Yes, I asked my midwife if claritin is ok. She said yes, as well as zyrtec and benadryl.
Avatar f tn Had been on Augmentin for a sinus infection, just finishing up the script, and take Crestor, Nexium, and Zyrtec on a regular basis. Symptoms started a few days after starting generic Zyrtec, which also caused unbelievable dryness that felt like I was dehydrated (no vomiting, though). A day after the chills, I noticed my urine was dark and my stools were very light, almost gray, and I started getting very itchy but no rash.
689528 tn?1364135841 10mg every day for the first five days and then every other day for the next five, in addition he gets a generic Zyrtec everyday. Now he just gets a zyrtec every day, and if his allergies act up beyond the zyrtec's control, like this time of year ,he gets a prednisone per day for 3 or 4 days and then every other day for two or until things calm down. Zyrtec can be expensive, but we actually found a generic brand at the dollar store! $1. for 14 pills, so we clear their shelves!
Avatar n tn Hi, the drugs you have mentioned are Histamine H1 Antagonist, belonging to Second Generation. These are newer anti histaminics which are devoid of sedation. That is the main advantage over the first generation anti histamines. Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine.
Avatar m tn My 5 year old has been picking her scabs on and off for a year now. She seems to have seasonal allergies also. I have noticed when she is on generic Zyrtec for the allergies she doesn't pick as much or stops all together. Then after a meeting with her teacher it was brought to my attention that when she is picking a lot her school work suffers.

16087137 tn?1445209323 t covered under my new insurance at all after I retired and I think a months supply from Walgreens or CVS (my local pharmacies) cost around $3-$400 per month. I'm not making alot of money right now, and when I mentioned that to my Dr. he unofficially assured me about generic versions made in Canada, that can legally ship to the US. I recieved a sample from this company: http://goo.gl/iw450u and am thinking about ordering.
456874 tn?1218139741 My insurance will only cover for the generic of Yasmin-does anyone know if it is as effective?
4178478 tn?1350667364 If you have an allergist call and all them. I believe you can take ceterizine it is the generic of zyrtec i believe and it's class b. Or over the counter chlortrymeton(spelling) id what my OB suggested for my allergies when they were driving me nuts.
Avatar f tn Now the migrains are not uncommon for me since I have had them in the past, but the ringing in my ears became constant and caused more panick. I started taking generic lexipro about 2 weeks BEFORE the ringing started.. I was reluctant to go on the generic since I was doing so well on the name brand and I asked the pharmasist and my doctor if there was any difference. They said No.
Avatar f tn I take Zyrtec, Prevacid and Rhinocort Aqua (nasal spray). I hope this helps and you feel better.
Avatar f tn So I called Walgreens about it and according to the pharmacist, Walgreens only uses one lab for their thyroid generic. And they test the generic against the brand name to be sure it it identical. So I felt ok about switching to the generic. I had some undesirable side effects from Syn. It had me feeling so dopey and my eyes drooped. I looked sleepy all the time. I also felt nauseated half the time. I itched like crazy. But at least my feet didn't hurt!
Avatar n tn Can generic thyroid cause rash, extreme fatigue despite normal tsh levels, abd pain and nausea, chills and sweating spells? I had a total thyroidectomy 2 mo ago and have not felt right since 4 days of being placed on brand name these signs have started to decrease. If these are related do you know when I will feel completely better?
Avatar n tn Hi, it sounds like you have had quite an ordeal with these allergies! i also have allergies, but mine were bad enough that i developed asthma and had to go on several medications to get it under control, now i only take zyrtec as needed. i don't know about allergies that are "digested first" with zyrtec, everyone has different reactions- but zyrtec is systemic so it should be help equally with your sore throat and itching.

Avatar f tn So I went to walgreens to get tylonol pm and they didn't have any. The pharmacist said it was recalled and that the walgreens brand had the same ingredients in it, so is it safe for me to take? I don't want to take something that could harm the baby and the doctors is closed. Thanks ladies!!
Avatar f tn I received a new batch of meds from Walgreens today and they sent me ribasphere instead of ribavirin. Does anyone know what the difference is? I did a search online and did notice the side effects are different. I have been on ribavirin now for 3 months.
Avatar m tn She has taken Benadryl ( 75 mg twice a day for a month ), then three Zyrtec a day for 3 to 4 weeks, now she is taking Claritin ( three a day ). No real relief. She took prednisone for two weeks while taking Zyrtec, and got complete relief. But, the scratching, biting started again as we were weaning her off the prednisone ( when she was down to one tab every other day ). The next drug we are considering is cyclosporine. I am seeking any one's experience with this treatment. Please advise.
Avatar m tn Try the generic version of prozac..called fluoxetine. It comes in white tablets. Pills and capsules seem to vary in their effects with this medication.
Avatar f tn I was currently on clyndomisin for a tooth infection as well. Sometimes over the counter Zyrtec generic for allergies. Other than that I have no idea where these results came from. The doctor uses a in home lab called "infinity lab" so I refused to take these results when I have never used such medication in my life. I made her send the next to lab foto. I'm curious if anyone knows why this could have happened..: and what caused it?!
374593 tn?1257879950 t recall having any problem getting it, either - but your RE should be able to tell you whether or not the generic is okay for you! Generic rxs are really more about the individual person, due to conflicting meds or other things that the person may experience. A quick call to the RE should give you the right answer! Good luck!
Avatar n tn I knew something was wrong. When I asked, the pharmacy had chosen (Walgreens) to make a change to generic WITHOUT my consent because they thought it would be cheaper. You see, I have been on Levoxyl (125mcg) for years when this happened and have had no adverse effect. I changed pharmacy first off, got my money back for their screw up, and it is now it is posted on my orders NO generic. Not every - body - absorbs a generic equally. Compositions are different.
