zyrtec

689528 tn?1364135841 He had the exact same problem last year and I feel so bad for him. He ended up getting a hot spot and we took him in to get pills and a steroid shot. I don't want it to come to that again this year. If anyone has any tips or suggestions on how to control his allergies that would be great. He is already on food that doesn't have corn, wheat or gluten. He is just VERY itchy all over but especially around the hip area and he is shedding constantly and EVERYWHERE!~ He is a boarder collie.
Avatar f tn I have a 7.5 year old son who started constantly snapping his head back about a month ago. It's definitely a tick, and it started very suddenly, and I don't know what to do. Please let me know if you have any breakthrough with this.
Avatar n tn I have a friend that says she has the same thing and she takes Zyrtec and Pepcid at night, she says it is the combination of the 2 drugs, and then when her lip swells she has to take Prednisone. Is there anything I can give my 8 year old for the swelling?
Avatar m tn My 5 year old has been picking her scabs on and off for a year now. She seems to have seasonal allergies also. I have noticed when she is on generic Zyrtec for the allergies she doesn't pick as much or stops all together. Then after a meeting with her teacher it was brought to my attention that when she is picking a lot her school work suffers.
Avatar m tn For adults the tourniquet will be tied on the muscle, but for a 3 year old, since the hands are small the tied area is where the blood is drawn from.
Avatar n tn Take her off the ALLERGIA as that can cause bad hives. I got horrible leg pains and hives down both my legs that by the time I knew what caused it I had to use antibiotics to heal it. Try children's ZYRTEC and one Tagament a day. Watch for an hr to see if she gets a allergic reaction to what ever she uses or eats if earache, coughing, itching start remove what ever she is using or eating for one week.
Avatar m tn and for about 6 days i experienced shortness of breath, sometimes severe, but it has happened to me before aswell as i am allergic to alot of things like perfume, smell, dust and the most common symptom i have is shortness of breath,,,also it could be because i discontinued zyrtec for a week,,,,as for pain,i sometimes have a slight tingling pain in the left of my chest where the heart is,not in the middle...
Avatar m tn Is that enough window period considering she is a 3 and half year old. or do kids have longer window periods. I see everywhere for adults the window period is 3 months, and am not sure about the 3 year kid. 2) Does any antibiotics(i don't remember which antibiotics she used) have any effect on her HIV antibody test result by delaying or hiding the antibodies. 3) Does any of her immunizations have any effect on the HIV antibody test result?.
Avatar f tn Please help! I am a mother to an almost 4 year old boy with severe behavior problems. He spits on people, kicks, hits, screams 'shut up'. He does this on a daily basis and often without warning. He is in preschool and even acts this way to his teachers and classmates. He spits on his teacher, in the past has played in his feces (happened a few times months ago), calls me ugly names. He has broken windows in our home and broken my car windshield.
Avatar f tn If you are not confident about this Doctor then I would say get another opinion, hes your child... it does sound like allergy and this has been a bad year ..so take a second opinion ..zyrtec seems to be prescribed willy nilly ...he may need something different .
Avatar f tn My 12 year old daughter was just diagnosed today with this. I read the other posts relating thyroid problems with autoimmune urticaria. Since I have hypothyroidism, I'm guessing that she should be tested for this at her regular doctor's office? Right now all I can afford is the double dose of Zyrtec, but with everything else she's allergic to (7 types of trees, 3 molds, ragweed, cat, feathers, dust mites & roaches of course) the allergy shots would be better for her, right?
799323 tn?1238612744 One it could be the one of the medications. I was taking Zyrtec for allergies and it would give me stomach pains and I always felt like I was going to have diareah. I stopped taking it and the stomach pains went away. It might be one of her other medications too. I also suffer from migraines but this comes and goes depending on my medications doses. You might want to look into giving her a probiotic.
Avatar f tn My son stopped eating solid foods a couple of weeks ago. The doctor checked out his throat and nothing appeared to be wrong. He also has not had any traumatic incidents happen that we are aware of that might trigger this reaction. It began a few weeks ago, he would spit out food occasionally at a meal...this would get worse and he would spit out several times. 2 weeks ago he came home from school without any lunch eaten, this is when I decided to take him to the doctor...
Avatar f tn I just wanted to add that, like just4me1, my children were average at birth and gradually sank to the bottom 10th percentile in height and weight as they aged. I ragged the pediatrician for years to figure out what was wrong but nothing showed up. An endocrinologist finally discovered the gluten allergy. We're now a gluten-free household. Both children took growth hormone and are now average height, but insurance wouldn't pay for it for my daughter and it cost a fortune.
Avatar f tn hi folks, thought I'd ask you wise, wonderful ppl for ideas for allergy relief. I've tried every thing I can think of even got a allergy shot from doc, didn't even help one day. I've tried Alavert , zyrtec and nose sprays, benadryl works but I don't want to sleep all day. If anyone has any suggestion I'd love to hear them. I just need to get through the 1st freeze of the year, it's the dried up pollion that's making me sneeze, itchy throat and ears.

Avatar f tn I was told to take zyrtec. Now I have a rash on my upper thighs. Is it the generic zyrtec? Would the regular Zyrtec do the same? Have you ever heard of Diamox being prescribed for Meneire's disease? I find nothing in the literature about it and am hesitant to take it as it makes me very tired. I need to sleep about 3 hours a day when I take it. I don't want to experience vertigo again.
681148 tn?1437661591 t scratching like she was before I gave her the Zyrtec. This is good, because allergy season is already worse this year than last year according to the afternoon newscast. This is because of the amount of rain we've had. So, there is more pollen and mold. Right now, it's mostly tree pollen, but the weeds and the grass are also starting up. So, I'm thinking my little sweet kitty must has pollen allergies just like I do, so the Zyrtec is obviously necessary.
Avatar f tn Recently, my 6 year old has been complaining of an itchy tongue. He says it's itchy ALL THE TIME. He has been gnawing on it to try to scratch the itch, resulting in canker sore/ulcer-type lesions (that also hurt). His primary doctor had no idea; she suggested Oral Allergy Syndrome. However, his allergist said there was no way that his tongue would be itchy all the time if it was OAS and didn't even consider allergy testing.
Avatar f tn Well they told me not to worry because there are steps i can take to get better.. the first step which is the easiest is to take one 10mg pill of zyrtec once a day..
