689528 tn?1364135841 d rather give him pills now then deal with this itching. I feel so bad for him and I have a 10 month old who crawls all over and is covered in hair that's been shed. I agree, the prednisone makes them pee sooo much. I remember him having to go out in the middle of the night when he's been on it before! I think I will have to get regular Zyrtec though, I live in Canada and don't think I could find anything like that at a dollar store!! Thanks again!
1474611 tn?1416632958 I have a 18 month old male cat who is neutered (not sure if that's right word). He's been licking and biting himself a lot lately, even after using a flea and tick type of medication like Vantage or Frontline, the kind you put on the scruff of the neck of the cat or dog. I do have to admit that the licking and biting isn't as bad as before.
Avatar m tn I took my dosage and quit hookah. 3 days after the steroids had ended I woke up in the middle of the night with the left side of my tongue swollen. I went to the emergency room and they put me back on steroids and benadryl again. 3 days after my steroid dosage had ended my hand and foot only on the left side started swelling to the point I couldn't walk. Got put back on steroids and zyrtec and some antacids.
Avatar n tn I have an 18 month old who has been diagnosed as failure to thrive. He is approximately 26 inches and weighs 23 pounds. He has been in the 5th percintile on the weight chart since birth- he was 5lbs, 2oz. He eats a lot. Some days, he will eat all day. I ensure that he gets 3 vegetable and fruit servings. I give him beans and eggs for protein, because he is not a big meat eater. He seems to be on schedule as far as developing.

351317 tn?1204751871 t just use a pill splitter and cut tablets in half. I had to ask for a lower dosage for my Benadryl myself for the same reason. This is also what I read that I needed to do with kidney function issues. Mine are capsule form that I buy behind the pharmacy counter as a prescription. The insurance still won't cover them, but they're still cheaper to buy this way than buying them OTC.

Avatar f tn My daugther is 18 month old, she is a happy girl, always smiling and very sociable, but today just before bed time she started crying uncontrolable, throwing everything from her crib to the floor, didn't allow me or her father be next to her or talk to her, and all of this "tantrum" last about 15 to 20 minutos,i would like to know if this is a normal behavior at this age and how to handled, please, we were desperated.Thank's, tere.
Avatar f tn Benadryl for sure and claratin I think
Avatar f tn he has an allergy related skin condition (Urticaria Pigmentosa), seasonal allergies, and food allergies (tree nuts only). He takes the adult dosage of Zyrtec daily and uses Flonase to keep some of the allergies under control. Because of all of these allergies, I assumed the tongue issue would also be allergy related (the allergy specialist disagrees though). We have also tried Benadryl to no avail. He hasn't had a decent night's sleep in weeks.
Avatar f tn I have a 13 month old who has had a runny nose for the past 12 months. He seems to be at his peds. every month for his runny nose he doesn't suffer from ear infections his lungs are always clear and we are told he's fine and is to young for allergies.
9532182 tn?1421991391 She dont teeth nor does she even have teeth. My 4 year old had started getting teeth at 4 months. Is it normal for an 8 month old to not even be breakin teeth through yet?
Avatar m tn I am a 50 year old male, who for the last few years, seems to have violent coughing/ gasping for breathe when encountered with: stale air (eg. Closed cars) or strong odor (eg. Car exhaust). I have been tested to be allergic to dust/ dust mites. After a couple of minutes of coughing and spiting out and having a tablet of Benadryl allergy medication, things are pretty normal. The above mentioned reactions happen mostly in morning.
Avatar f tn The amount of Zyrtec I was told to give to Akira is only 1/4 of the adult human dosage. This is much smaller than the children's dosage, which is 1/2 of the adult human dosage. I would never ever give medications to Akira without her first seeing her doctor. I do know that no one should ever give Tylenol to their pets. Tylenol is definitely toxic to both dogs and cats. In fact, some of us humans can't even take the stuff.
