zyrtec

Avatar f tn Check with the doctor but he will more than likely firmly recommend Claritin and warn against Benadryl. keep us posted.
Avatar f tn I've been on Claritin/Zyrtec my whole pregnancy. I know Claritin is approved, I believe Zyrtec is fine too.
959034 tn?1253671476 Thanks!!!!! Should I try zyrtec then? My doctor said any. Are you switching to zyrtec? Is anyone else taking it? Something else? Is it safe?
Avatar f tn now I am havin problems clearing my throat all time.pulmonologist suggested Claritin d with my nexium.doesnt seem to be working...any other allergy meds would help....maybe Zyrtec?
Avatar m tn In the first place Zyrtec tends to make you drowsy and Allegra tends to perk you up. It would be pretty weird to take them together. I take Zyrtec daily and when my allergies act up I take a single dose of Benadryl which is short-acting. that works well for me.
Avatar f tn Ask a pharmacist. I'm taking alavert d and robitussin. You can also take zyrtec if it's more allergies. Get lots of vitamin c.
5449245 tn?1368135459 My doctor has told me to take 2 doses of Zyrtec per day to see if it will help the swelling, but Zyrtec makes me drowsy and I do not take it because I drive pretty much everyday and don't want to get too drowsy while I'm operating a vehicle! I have hypothyroidism & type 2 diabetes, and I think that may be part of the reason why my eyes have been so swollen. I have allergies as well, but they are mild.
Avatar f tn I use Benadryl (non drowsy) almost every day but when my allergies are out of control I use Zyrtec. If I have congestion, I use Sudaffed.
Avatar f tn I'm about giving up. I cannot breath. Can I take zyrtec, claritin or allegra.
Avatar m tn my doctor told me to take montelukast sodium with zyrtec. if i take these at night, will they still be as effective the next day? will i still be drowsy all day? Do you have any other ideas for me to use to combat my solar urticaria?
Avatar n tn I've had chronic hives for two years now. I was told that they are idiopathic and that it can last from 5-10 years. Yes, you read that right. That. Long. It *****. I also have chronic fatigue syndrome so I can't take any meds that make me drowsy so just been taking Zyrtec. I had every test done to rule out things. They sent tests to the mayo clinic and I saw rheumatologists, infectious disease, cardiologist, neurologist, gynecologist,, allergist....pretty much every doctor.

Avatar m tn ve been told zyrtec is good. Allegra makes me super drowsy and causes muscle aches but everyone tolerates it differently. She should see an allergist. The allergist might prescribe singulair. It works great on ky daughter but causes me anxiety. I've tried chamomile tea and it helps a bit, with no sugar though. Keep me updated, I know the feeling. I've lost lots of weight avoiding processed foods and other foods.
Avatar f tn suidfed is okay as well.
Avatar n tn I have a dr as a friend and she said as I am well into the pregnancy at 25wks 3 days she recommends zyrtec however twice now the pharmacy has said polarymime the drowsy one. Super confused and it's annoying me and I'm putting it all off only using and lathering calamine lotion on me just like a moisturizer. Any tips and hints Plz? I'm not a stressed out mum to be panicking about everything.....but i cannot be itchy or its getting worse.
Avatar f tn Talk to your dr Hun. I use a prescribed nasal spray for my sinus as well as prescribed creams for my eczema. I asked my dr and he checked it out and ok'd it. You will feel better if you check, and won't stress yourself or feel guilty over it. Good luck! Hope you get some relief soon!
Avatar f tn I was taking Zyrtec and Nasonex spray, but recently stopped when I discovered I was preggo. I just got benadryl, gunna give it a shot tonight. Would rather take something that won't make me drowsy though.
Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar f tn The drowsy/alert effect varies from person to person but it won't affect the antihistamines itself.
Avatar n tn I am 20 weeks pregnant and am getting a sinus infection, I know Zyrtec D works but i dont know if im allowed to take it! Will it harm baby if I take Zyrtec D???
Avatar n tn t know of any problem with taking Zyrtec-D with Plavix. You can also read your medication leaflets with the medications to check or check with your pharmacist. If you are being treated for high blood pressure or heart disease/vascular problem, I would NOT recommend taking the Zyrtec-D WITHOUT discussing this with your physician.
Avatar f tn My allergies were TERRIBLE when I was pregnant, I didn't like taking Benedryl because I don't like the drowsy/tired feeling but you can take Claritin and also I took plain Sudafed. But definitely consult your doctor.
Avatar n tn Overdoses of ANY medication can be fatal, no matter what it is. The dosage amount is based on your body composition, height, weight, etc., so 1800mg (while it is an exceedingly high dosage) could possibly be a normal dosage size for someone large in stature. I was under the idea that it was common knowledge that overdosing on any drug can be fatal, but I guess you didn't know.
