Zyrtec d and side effects

Common Questions and Answers about Zyrtec d and side effects

zyrtec

Avatar m tn Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.
Avatar n tn My Daughters son was given Zyrtec and he had Diarreha and was irritable also overly emotional, when he wasnt given it he seemed okay.He was on the medication for allergies for quite a while, and later he did have other problems.
Avatar f tn Try taking home remidies like plain water steam, twice a day, it gives awesome results for cold, cough and watery eyes. This is free from any side effects. I do this all the time.
Avatar n tn Moreover although steroids have many side effects but they are very useful in cases of dermographism and hives. The doctors start with steroids especially topical ones and then shifts to oral ones. Alsothe dose of steroids is tapered off by the doctor. I hope it helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing or if you have any additional doubts. Kind regards.
Avatar n tn Hi, You could consult a skin specialist and try some local application steroid creams and moisturizers if anti-histamine medications cause side effects in your case. For mild-moderate eczema a weak steroid may be used (e.g. hydrocortisone or desonide), whilst more severe cases require a higher-potency steroid (e.g. clobetasol propionate, fluocinonide). Eczema can be exacerbated by dryness of the skin. Moisturizing is one of the most important self-care treatments for sufferers of eczema.
Avatar n tn after researching which supplements may enhance chance of UND and SVR and reduce or possibly thwart some side effects. All supplements were presented to my Dr, and he did approve all of them. I do eat a very healthy organic, whole food, high fiber, good fat diet, no to very little proccessed foods, and I almost always have.
Avatar m tn I have taken calcium and D under doctor supervision for years, but I have endocrine issues and need supplementation. Calcium will also not absorb in large doses. It is better to spread out, if you even need a larger doses.
1517808 tn?1290813790 I have the same condition. My general doctor referred me to an allergist/immunologist, and I was told that I have autoimmune urticaria (hives). I was prescribed an antihistamine (Zyrtec), Zantac75 (an antacid that also has "alpha blocker" properties), and Doxepin (an antidepressant that also has "alpha blocker" properties. Over time, I stopped taking the Zyrtec and Zantac. Now I am only taking the Doxepin. This seems to control everything pretty well.

Avatar m tn I have been feeling much better on my vitamin D and zyrtec regiment. Here we are 2 years down the road and I woke up in the middle of the night with the left side of my cheek swollen up. I went to urgent care center in the morning and took 2 Benadryl before I went. 2 hours had passed and the swelling didn't change so the doctor thought that it was a infection in my mouth or an irritation from a tooth. He put me on a Zpak and sent me home.
Avatar n tn Both are mainly used in treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis and treatment of chronic idiopathic urticaria. Headache and drowsiness are side effects seen with loratidine. Whereas headache and vomiting with fexofenadine. Both are quiet safe and any one can be used for which consult your local health care provider. Take care and regards.
503607 tn?1275671579 I am writing it off from the Zyrtec, I felt like I could pass out at anytime exhausted and dry mouth from the Zyrtec. I will be sticking to Claritin. Anyone find these issue get worse when its really humid and hot out? I try to keep hydrated but palps even increase during the summer?
Avatar f tn I have been having urinary problems the past 3 months. I took 5 different antibiotics for UTI's, i've had a transvaginal ultrasound, pelvic exam, and everything said I was fine. I have been feeling better, but every now and then, I have this tingling feeling in my groin area, and it is very uncomfortable and will last for days, then go away.
Avatar n tn Hello, Side effects of singulair are many varying from non serious ones like nausea, abdominal pain, headache, heart burns and GI discomfort to serious ones like anaphylaxis, liver damage and depression and hallucinations. You can take zytec(cetrizine) for your allergies but it is also not without side effects. They may vary from allergic reactions to raised heart beat, seizures and liver damage.
1089121 tn?1256818742 oh yes these are some of the wounderful side effects of tx,do check with your dr.about your hives to make sure its not a reaction but my dr. put me on tiamcinolone cream for the rash,it does tin to help.
Avatar n tn My advice is to check your vitamin D levels and make an appointment to see the dentist. Tx is hard on bones and teeth. Vitamin D can help both. Brush your teeth after eating anything acidic including drinking coffee as exposed rootes are more prone to cavities. BTW: Not all docs are the same. My heptalogist is suggesting people wait to do tx until the new meds are available if their livers are in good condition.
Avatar m tn My sister is experiencing trouble with Mucus in back of throat and nothing seems to help such a Zyrtec and other decongestants. First has anyone else experienced this and second what has worked. She is doing well and finishes her 12 week tx for genotype 2 tomorrow 9/24/14. All her labs are coming out normal. Of course the final result 12 weeks post is yet to be seen. Just wanted to show some support. I have recommended water with lemon.
Avatar m tn by the way you can take as much as 650000iu per week and have no effects what so ever on calcium and even if so you just have to check calcium and vit d every 4 weeks and if you find calcium out of range you just need to drink more water to take it down another way to see calcium increase much earlier is check the calcium on urine instead of serum.
Avatar n tn I switched from Claritin to Zyrtec this allergy season and was wondering is Zyrtec was too much for me thus giving me these side effects, I just googled zyrtec side effects and they are dizziness, tiredness, lightheaded, headaches, etc....so I think I might try going back to Claritin to see if this helps, i am so sick of feeling off!!
Avatar f tn suidfed is okay as well.

1274661 tn?1301868321 Thanks, Selma. I do take the zyrtec at night, but I guess it is not enough. Last time I was at the doctor he told me to take claritin-D in the morning and zyrtec at night. I really didn't want to try the claritin-D because it is a decongestant and they make me feel crazy and just seem to drain everything into my chest. Maybe I can ask about taking regular claritin in the morning and zyrtec at night. May I ask what you are and were taking?
