Is it safe to take both Allegra-D and Zyrtec. In short, I suffer from allergies. I find that I feel best when I take a single pill of Allegra-D in the morning and a single pill of Zyrtec at night. In part, I have been doing this because I haven't had to go to the doctor (or Canada) to get more Allegra D so I can take it twice a day. I was wondering what the possible side-effects, besides fatigue, are of the regimen I'm taking? I've felt much better since beginning it.

Thanks, Selma. I do take the zyrtec at night, but I guess it is not enough. Last time I was at the doctor he told me to take claritin-D in the morning and zyrtec at night. I really didn't want to try the claritin-D because it is a decongestant and they make me feel crazy and just seem to drain everything into my chest. Maybe I can ask about taking regular claritin in the morning and zyrtec at night. May I ask what you are and were taking?

s exactly what they gave me - Zyrtec plus a $50 nose spray which I used once and threw out because it tasted bad and burned my throat.

t know of any problem with taking Zyrtec-D with Plavix. You can also read your medication leaflets with the medications to check or check with your pharmacist. If you are being treated for high blood pressure or heart disease/vascular problem, I would NOT recommend taking the Zyrtec-D WITHOUT discussing this with your physician.

It seems like Akira has seasonal allergies and dust allergies in addition to her food allergies. Because I really don't want to give her long term steroids, I decided to only give her the 1/4 tablet of Zyrtec that the vet told me to give her before. I try to wait 'til I just have to give it to her, because I know that people can build up a tolerance to antihistamines, so I figure that animals can, too.

I am now taking 2 mulitvitamins a day and 1000 IU of Vitamin D along with 6 Zyrtec and 2 Zantac and I am still breaking out every day! I have only been taking the vitamins for a week, so I am seeing if that will work eventually, but this is so frustrating! Help!!!!!

I am a major allergy sufferer! Clarifying and Zyrtec are safe to take. However! Do not get the ones with the "D" added onto them (claritin d) because that is either not studied enough yet or not recommended. I take claritin as needed. "They" say it might be bad for allergies this spring with the late start. Exercise indoors. Take care and hopeb this is helpful. I would call your doctor. I know plain Zyrtec is fine to take, but I'm not clear on Zyrtec-D. I believe the only difference is that it has Pseudoephedrine in it, but I'm not 100% and your doctor would be the safest to ask. You should just be able to call and ask and find out over the phone.

I have used patanol in the past but the eye Dr is now recommending patasol which is very expensive. I want to try Zyrtec d instead of Zyrtec which gives me some releif. Any other suggestions are appreciated.

I have been feeling much better on my vitamin D and zyrtec regiment. Here we are 2 years down the road and I woke up in the middle of the night with the left side of my cheek swollen up. I went to urgent care center in the morning and took 2 Benadryl before I went. 2 hours had passed and the swelling didn't change so the doctor thought that it was a infection in my mouth or an irritation from a tooth. He put me on a Zpak and sent me home.

Check with the doctor but he will more than likely firmly recommend Claritin and warn against Benadryl. keep us posted.

I take prilosec every day and my doctor says its fine. I would get off the zyrtec D and start the 24 hour zyrtec liquigels. You only take it once a day. You don't need the decongestant in the zyrtec D. You may be stuffy for a few days until you ween yourself off the decongestant but you will be okay. If you have that much diarrhea try taking some iron pills. I take 324 mg b/c of low iron. It makes you go a couple of times a day and regulates you and your stool.

That doesn't do anything to me ;/ I was on high dose with allegra, zyrtec, atarax, and a few others and the sprays before pregnant. Over the counter med doesn't help but thank god today got better after the bloody nose.

ve only been taking a low amount, about 1-3 pills per day, since October but I experience terrible w/d when I try to stop. Any advice? And seriously, if w/d takes longer than 2 weeks, that just plain sucks!

Hi and thanks for the info. I have a hard enough time taking a bit less than 2 a day for now. But, as soon as I can get to the point where I feel more comfortable physically, i.e., not raging and being really pissed off at things, then I'll do 1/4 less for a week, depending on the mood swings. Oh, I had a really good dream about DeCaprio when my alarm went off today. It was so real and we were filming a stupid scene when I woke up.

After all my treatments I started experiencing joint pain and doctor started me on 5/500 hydrocodone. I then stopped for about a year with no problems but have had two more surgeries (not BC related) sinced that time and was again put on more vicodin. I want to stop altogether but it has been extremely difficult. I take 3, 3 times a day. My Oncologist just keeps refilling which kind of surprises me.

I switched to Hydrocodone 10/500 b/cause I was afraid of addiction and my back is about 50% better and would like to discontinue taking any opiates. I only take one at night to get me through and maybe one late in the afternoon when the pain is becoming unbearable. I am crying at the drop of a hat and having sweats and goose bump episodes.My stomach is never feeling quite right and I feel lazy. I assume that is related to withdrawal. I have no idea what I am doing....

oh, I also told him about the W/D and never wanted to go through that again. I wanted noting addicting. I guess that's all they really give you.

in the beginning i took oxycodone 10s but i gradually reduced it to the hydrocodone 5s....anyways ive been feeling better physically today the hot showers and home remedies have done wonders... although the depression and hopelessness hasn't gone away when will this be gone...
