zyrtec

460830 tn?1347219306 I have a mitral valve prolapse and high blood pressure (for which I take lisinopril 10 mg.), but I never have had any problem with taking a normal dose of Zyrtec...if I go ahead and take a Zyrtec, and it turns out that I did already take one, would it do any harm?
959034 tn?1253671476 Thanks!!!!! Should I try zyrtec then? My doctor said any. Are you switching to zyrtec? Is anyone else taking it? Something else? Is it safe?
Avatar f tn I am on several blood pressure medications. Do you think there is a connection? I also take Nexium on a daily basis. Part of my blood pressure regimin includes a diuretic. Otherwise, I take 3 high blood pressure meds. Thanks for the comments...

Avatar f tn ve also seen a dermatologist and she said finding the root to the problem is difficult therefore nothing can be done but to continuously taking Zyrtec if my body responds to it. Even though I know Zyrtec can temporarily stops the outbreak, I try not to take much as I fear there might be side effects (I heard it can make you infertile if consuming over a long period of time? Not sure if it's true). ...Help!!!!!!!!!...how do I get rid it permanently?
Avatar m tn For about a month I've had this painful throbbing sensation in my head that feels like it's behind my left eye near my upper nose. The sensation comes and goes day by day but sometimes the throbbing gets very painful and I get migraines that I can feel are from that area, it happens several time a week now. When I shake my head I can sometimes feel pressure in the area. Recently I've begun to feel this sensation in other parts of my head and I'm getting worried.

1147530 tn?1314821596 I've been waking up suddenly again with body vibrations shortly after falling asleep (20-30'). Without sitting up or moving much, I've taken my BP to see what it may be picking up. BP read 103/53. Pulse low 60's. Not sure if this is normal blood pressure while sleeping, or if the low blood pressure sends the body into some sort of warning reaction, hence the vibration. ( If catecholamines are a factor, I would think the BP would be higher. ) And another curious thing.
Avatar f tn Light-headedness also happens when there is not enough blood getting to the brain. This may be due to a sudden drop in your blood pressure or if you are dehydrated and other underlying medical condition that needs to be ruled out. Take care and do keep us posted.
Avatar n tn I also am having issues with high blood pressure and am on HCTZ for that, and have high morning blood sugars. Am still a bit tired and have pressure behind the eyes as well as stinging eyes. I would welcome any suggestions from others too. I am waiting on labs just done today. We'll see.
Avatar f tn I was released with no instructions for follow up. Very good blood pressure, heart rate, no speech problems, walking problems etc. Could any of these symptoms be caused from the injections? If not, any ideas to check. I am 1 79 year old female in good health except for pain. This discussion is related to Numbness. detailed info. intresting need help..
Avatar n tn Be careful with these medicines if you have high blood pressure, diabetes or kidney problems.
1524212 tn?1291837200 My doc said to use zyrtec for a cold if you have afib, which I do. Most antihistamines will up your blood pressure causing worse fib action. Have you ever had shock treatment? I'm thinking about it.
Avatar n tn Claritin makes me light headed for 30 minutes, raises blood pressure a little but wears off after a few hours. Clarinex works better for me, lasts 14 hours on me. Both are pretty weak for antihistamines. Other than this there is a couple more that use the same med as Claritin, so same effect pretty much. The other antihistamines usually cause drowsyness. Don't know of too many nasal sprays with out steroids.
8526246 tn?1405601876 My eyes are swollen and irritated.
Avatar f tn When the air blows in my face it irritates the veins/blood vessel around my eyes, they get puff and swollen that causes the pressure in my eyes to go up. I'm using four different eye drops provided by my doctor. I only have close-up vision in my left eye and I'm worried that I may soon lose site in my right eye. Should I see a dermatologist are have my doctor do a patch skin test? I've had two blood test, I'm not sure what they were looking for.
Avatar f tn The allergist suspected a thyroid-related autoimmune disorder and my anti-thyroid antibody blood test (TPO AB) came back at 1374. He prescribed an Epi-Pen and recommended Loratadine twice a day, when the attacks continued, he added Zyrtec at night, but it's having no effect--still covered in hives and having big angioedema attacks every other day. He said to stay on the antihistamines. I tried to get a referral to an endocrin.
Avatar n tn Just had a work physicial completed and they sent me full results of all blood work.... I had a couple of abnormalities but they seem close to the limits.... My Basophil was 1.4 when the normal range is 0.0-1.0 My MCH was high 31.9 when the normal range is 27.0-31.2 My MPV was low 7.3 when normal range is 7.4-10.
Avatar f tn could be a sign of something more serious like High Blood Pressure or Preeclampsia or perhaps just due to normal hormonal changes...good to know which.
Avatar f tn Had been on Augmentin for a sinus infection, just finishing up the script, and take Crestor, Nexium, and Zyrtec on a regular basis. Symptoms started a few days after starting generic Zyrtec, which also caused unbelievable dryness that felt like I was dehydrated (no vomiting, though). A day after the chills, I noticed my urine was dark and my stools were very light, almost gray, and I started getting very itchy but no rash.
Avatar m tn I asked my eye doc and pharmacy and they said they were not aware of any meds that would treat cold symptoms without effecting my dry eyes. They say the problem is I am limited due to my high blood pressure as to what I can take. I would imagine anyone with mod to severe dry eye would have the same problem---- Any ideas for meds ??? Doc says pain reliever- tissues and rest - is there an alternative they may have missed??
