i also take hormones and xanax...i read where alot of my meds have interactions...but pharmisits say its ok.............
I'm not a doctor and I can't say for sure, but it seems unlikely that a low dose Xanax would interfere with the Dig. If you really don't want to check with the doctor, try calling your pharmacist. He/she should be able to let you know for sure.

My friend is pretty much self-medicating himself using a therapists help for prescriptions, and I'm worried about the interactions/addictiveness.
Just so you know, he's 42 and was diagnosed with schizophrenia 11 years ago; hence, the zyprexa.
I have been on Celexa for awile and have never had to pass up another needed med because of it. I take omeprazole, also and did take Zyrtec for awhile, but it made me sleepy. I really wouldn't be anxious about interactions with OTC meds. Most of their labels will tell you what not to take them with. Good Luck!
Looked at the drug interactions monograph, thought it was a reaction to the generic Zyrtec and called my doc. He told me to stop taking the zyrtec and ordered liver function tests. Well, tests came back with high enzymes and bilirubin and he told me to stop taking ALL medications. Ordered an ultrasound which he said was negative, and ordered the blood work again. He seems to think it's liver damage due to drug toxicity.

I went to a pain management clinic for over 15 years but I cannot find a new clinic that will accept me because I take Xanax AND I CANNOT COME OFF THEM I have tried several times. My psychiatrist has even written a letter to some clinics stating I cannot come off of the Xanax but they still refuse to take me and want to put me on Suboxone and I do not know what to do. I CANNOT TAKE THE PAIN ANYMORE.
It's nearly impossible to gage the interactions between medications and supplements because supplements are not regulated and/or tested to the extent that medications are. My best and only advice would be to ask your physician, even he/she may draw a blank.
I know for sure there are no interactions with the libruim or the other meds i take, and i am fully aware of the effects of the librium, the long term, short term effects of using it, and how it affects me. The reason im changing docs is to get a script for librium, becuase my current doc is stubbornly against prescribing benzodines, even though he's hurting the one or two percent of americans who actually need , and could benefit from these medicines. So that's my question.
My best friend takes Xanax and has asthma and she says it doesn't affect it. I would think it only would if you took too much or more than the recommended dosage.
