Hello all. I have had hives all over my body in as many as 15 different locations at the same time. I've tried singular, zyrtec, Claritin, benadryl, oatmeal baths and nothing helps in the least. In the last day I've also experienced headache and nausea. No new foods, drinks or environmental changes.
Please note I also have multiple diseases such as Lupus, Posteral orthostatic tachycardia syndrome, gastroparisis, etc.
Any help would be appreciated.
for nausea feelings, i am using peppermint and sipping bitter lemon juice.
I drinking a lot of fluids in the day time, it helped me. The best is to try a bit of things, and figure out what works best for you.
as for food suggestions any thing healthy goes ;) . more fruits, stir fry veg or noodles, roast dishes. the choice is urs. Your appetite can boost back later, when you feel less sick but i would say you should eat what u r craving for.
,she has decreased appetite especially in the evening and she only weighs 42 pounds and is 42 inches tall. I spoke with her doctor and he suggested we increase her medicine to 15mg twice a day. I have put her on a bland diet as well. She is also on zyrtec for allergies which she takes every pm. Please help I do not know what else to do for her. I don't know if we are following the right path for treating her. If she needs to have some tests done to find out what is truly her problem.
I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good?

My doctor was OK with me taking zyrtec. You just have to make sure to drink lots and lots of water.
Someone on here told me that I should take an antihistamine such a levocetrizine or cetrizine. I took 1 Zyrtec and I felt fine for a couple of hours but my arms eventually swelled up and started to itch again. I'm not sure if it just didn't work or I didn't take enough because the pill was only 10mg. I drank enough to become intoxicated but the reaction this time was not as bad as before.
Nausea could be from a number of things, if youre taking prenatals you can start taking them right before you go to sleep, allergies and other bugs are going around-drainage can cause nausea- zyrtec is safe to take and can help, also a nasal spray. As far as being over exhausted, you could be anemic- thats what caused mine- they determined it by a blood test and gave me iron supplements and its helped tremendously! Hope this helps!
Both Allegra and Zyrtec are 24 hour medications in my area. I have known several people who took 3 Zyrtec in one day, and my allergist says that you can't really OD on antihistimines. You should be sure to drink PLENTY of water and watch for signs of constipation and dehydration. You should make sure that your dr is well aware of how much of these meds you are taking to make sure that they are ok with any other medications you maybe taking.
did not help. 15 days Zantac, did not help. I took somack and zyrtec for 50 days did not help. Over time my situation is getting worst. I have been tested for possible parasites.but did not find any (I don't know if it shoud be tested for specific). I had simple test of allergenic substance; food, dust, etc. shows noting. I don't have sing of allergi like runing nouse or sneezing but I get very very small rushes in my forehead.
Had been on Augmentin for a sinus infection, just finishing up the script, and take Crestor, Nexium, and Zyrtec on a regular basis. Symptoms started a few days after starting generic Zyrtec, which also caused unbelievable dryness that felt like I was dehydrated (no vomiting, though). A day after the chills, I noticed my urine was dark and my stools were very light, almost gray, and I started getting very itchy but no rash.
My son stopped eating solid foods a couple of weeks ago. The doctor checked out his throat and nothing appeared to be wrong. Zyrtec can cause side effects like skin nodules, rash, pruritis (itching), acne, urticaria, photosensitivity reactions and eczema. So, the itchy red cheeks could be due to Zyrtec. Discuss your symptoms with your consulting doctor he may change the dose or the medications.

I saw zyrtec at Walgreen's just last night. Some was out and some you had to ask for.

Side effects of singulair are many varying from non serious ones like nausea,abdominal pain,headache,heart burns and GI discomfort to serious ones like anaphylaxis,liver damage and depression and hallucinations.You can take zytec(cetrizine) for your allergies but it is also not without side effects.They may vary from allergic reactions to raised heart beat,seizures and liver damage.
