Since April of 2009, I have been having strange urinary problems. For about 3 weeks, I had increased urinary frequency and urgency, as well as painful urination. This seemed to come with thirst and dry mouth. The frequency and urgency have gone, as well as the increased thirst and dry mouth, but I am still stuck with painful urination. The urine now appears foamy as well. The pain is a burning when urinating, and then I get a lingering pain down what feels like the whole urethral tube.

i have hives as well and take zyrtec and allegra everyday in the morning..

I woke up Thursday morning and my eyes were swollen shut. I started taking some Zyrtec and Benedryl, it helped a little and the swelling went down maybe by 50%. This morning I woke up and the swelling was worse than Thursday morning. I have only had this happen once before in my life. (when I was in Vegas) The doctor told me it was because of the dry air there. That episode only lasted one day. This seems to lasting forever. What can I do???

Had been on Augmentin for a sinus infection, just finishing up the script, and take Crestor, Nexium, and Zyrtec on a regular basis. Symptoms started a few days after starting generic Zyrtec, which also caused unbelievable dryness that felt like I was dehydrated (no vomiting, though). A day after the chills, I noticed my urine was dark and my stools were very light, almost gray, and I started getting very itchy but no rash.

I've been on Keppra for over 3 yrs now, other than gain weight as soon as I was put on the drug, I've had numerous UTI's and kidney infec. as well as Kidney stones, I reduced my dosage by half (1000mg/day down to 500mg/day) over a period of 4 months last yr, still szr free, and blood levels come back with in therapeutic range (something my Neuro can't quite explain yet isn't making me go back up to the 1000mg/day). But I'm having more kidney issues.. am I alone on this?

I am so sorry to hear about our pain and kidney issues. I can imagine how painful and tiresome it must all be ....and my heart goes out to you. I've had multiple kidney stones also. I assume they are unable to provide a specific diagnosis for your under the rib pain.... or do they believe it is related to the kidney issues? I can certainly relate to be tired of "pain meds" however we often have little choices if we want to tolerate our pain and function to some degree.

If any thing is serious with your kidney then you will come to know immediatly so no need to wait for symptoms to occur, Also do not do lot of google search because the more you do the more you learn the new symptoms and your brain will start mapping those symptoms to kidney and finally you will land up in health anxiety.... Enjoy life take care of your mother.. take her outside for a walk .. call your friends at home .. have a nice atmosphere at home and enjoy... dont think much ...

I was reffered to a urologist specialist and found out she only had one kidney and had number 5 reflux in that kidney,so she had surgery on that kidney and so far so good.No more infections,and she is now 10 and doing fine.Good luck with your little girl,i know they worry the hell out of you but try to take one day at a time or the stress will make you sick.

hi, My yorkie is 14 & half years & about a month ago was diagnosed with kidney problems. Benji did weigh 7.3 pounds in september but has lost a lot of weight this last month. He has episodes of eating one day then not eating the following day. But this last few days he just dosn`t want to eat anything at all. Iv`e tried him with all the food i can think of. He is on medication for his kidneys but he just isn`t getting it, as he will only take it when it is crushed up in food.

gfr measures your kidney function.. low filtration rate is suggestive that your kidney has not been working very well.. creatinine is fairly reliable indicator of kidney function.. so the high value of your creatinine may be because of your kidney.

I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good? Dear Help: age 48 male with Diabetes Type II for many years with recent blood test as follows: Urea 9.2mmol/L (55.2 mg/dl ) Creatinine 121mmol/L1.37 mg/dl( HBA1c 9.9 mmol/L(not sure mg) I've general doctor that says creatine is high but still normal! But, search thru. websites say otherwise. My creatinine and Urea (BUN) levels seems to signalling I'm heading for kidney problems ahead.
