zyrtec

1232362 tn?1333135406 Do kitties get seasonal allergies? Our older Spirit (about 12ish, spayed) has been sneezing clear mucus, has bright clear eyes, good appetite, normal behavior (wants to play and does her pm yodeling and such) but this has lasted a good week now. She seems completely fine except for the sneezing and snotting. Could it just be some sort of allergies? We're using the same litter, same food, same same same.
681148 tn?1437661591 It seems like Akira has seasonal allergies and dust allergies in addition to her food allergies. Because I really don't want to give her long term steroids, I decided to only give her the 1/4 tablet of Zyrtec that the vet told me to give her before. I try to wait 'til I just have to give it to her, because I know that people can build up a tolerance to antihistamines, so I figure that animals can, too.
Avatar n tn I went and seen a doctor about this and was told I have allergies, I was perscribed the generic for singulair for 10 days, and zyrtec for about 2 weeks to see if I got better. I opted to take the medicine at night (tonight)...and i can't sleep and my throat is so dry even after water. I really dis like medicine...I get anxious...what are some other options to feel better?... HELP!
Avatar n tn I have given my son benadryal in the past and he would become calm but since the risperdal he gets very hyper and stays up all night. My son has seasonal allergies. I have given him claritin and it does not work. Thank you for any advice you can give.
689528 tn?1364135841 10mg every day for the first five days and then every other day for the next five, in addition he gets a generic Zyrtec everyday. Now he just gets a zyrtec every day, and if his allergies act up beyond the zyrtec's control, like this time of year ,he gets a prednisone per day for 3 or 4 days and then every other day for two or until things calm down. Zyrtec can be expensive, but we actually found a generic brand at the dollar store! $1. for 14 pills, so we clear their shelves!
Avatar f tn My doctor was OK with me taking zyrtec. You just have to make sure to drink lots and lots of water.
Avatar f tn Zyrtec and benadryl. Zyrtec doesn't work for me, and benadryl makes me so tired. So my Dr gave me flonase and said to take the benadryl at night.
3539331 tn?1347554407 My husky weighs 76 lbs, so i’m Thinking 1, the vet told me to give 2 Benadryl in the morning and 2 at night, it’s not helping and want to try Zyrtec.
Avatar f tn Zyrtec is the safest and one of the most effective allergy meds - deals with more allergens than claritin I use the zyrtec eye drops (i've only had itchy eyes lately) and Sinus Rinse - clears and prevents congestion. It took me a long time to get over the idea of squirting water up my nose, but it is totally worth it.
Avatar f tn I M 16 weeks and I have allergies and sore throat.
Avatar f tn Nothing works for me, but Benadryl. My doctor said Claritan and Zyrtec are safe, they just don't work for me. I started taking either half of a regular Benadryl during the day (so I won't get sleepy, haha) or children's Benadryl (it's about the same as half of a regular one). That seems to make my allergies tolerable throughout the day.
11803947 tn?1430842645 That doesn't do anything to me ;/ I was on high dose with allegra, zyrtec, atarax, and a few others and the sprays before pregnant. Over the counter med doesn't help but thank god today got better after the bloody nose.
Avatar m tn I took zyrtec around 8:00 PM and my allergies are really bad so i wanted to know if it is safe to take Allegra now
Avatar f tn i would call your doctor office and just ask the nurse on duty. I know i do that when i have questions and they are always willing to help. good luck!
Avatar f tn The consensus is that I may also have an underlying autoimmune disease, as numerous other illnesses (from food allergies, celiac sprue, h pylori, thyroid disorders, etc...) have been ruled out. I would also like to note that I have had elevated LFT's on three seperate occasions (AST/ALT in the 40's- 50's, which then stabilize back into the teens when I get a blood re-draw). I have had a Hep 4 panel, which was negative. My pregnancy is going well.
7165624 tn?1395647767 I was told by my doctor that you can take just about anything but to stay away from the d. Take Claritin but not Claritin D, etc... Look for that d word on any sinus or allergy meds.
Avatar n tn Has he actually been tested for food allergies, so you know what to stay away from? Do you have him on any kind of antihistamine? Since his episodes come and go he should also be tested for weed, tree, and grass pollens. It wouldn't hurt to have him see a dermatologist to rule out any other underlying skin problem.
Avatar f tn he told me i could take benydryl zyrtec and claritin. of course ask your doctor but thats what he told me.
Avatar f tn My allergies are driving me crazy. Is there anything my doctor can suggest to help with them?
Avatar f tn ve ever had with allergies in my entire life and I finished treating years ago. People who have never ever had allergies are having them. Nothing helps with them either i tried everything. Sorry you are going through this, especially on treatment.
5347058 tn?1381188426 sensitive commonly to a preservative or ingredient in dry kibble type food. grain allergies are common in cats and most cat foods are full of unnecessary grains just b/c they are 'cheap' fillers for the manufacturer, they do absolutely nothing for the diet!!! there are some 'grain free' diets on the market that may be a worth a trial. EVO, Wellness and Natures Variety are a few. cats can also suffer from environmental allergies....such as what you decide with your kitty.....
5685937 tn?1412621180 Yes I have extremely bad allergies and my doctor gave me the okay on benadryl
