zyrtec

Avatar n tn I have been having dull pain behind both eyes for about 5 days, and the pain increases significantly in my left eye when I look suddenly to the left or right. The pain also increases when I gently press on the eye with the lid closed. My vision seems unaffected. My pupils are equal and reactive to light. I have sinus/ allergy problems for which I take Zyrtec and this is no worse than usual (especially for South Louisiana in the spring).
Avatar m tn For about a month I've had this painful throbbing sensation in my head that feels like it's behind my left eye near my upper nose. The sensation comes and goes day by day but sometimes the throbbing gets very painful and I get migraines that I can feel are from that area, it happens several time a week now. When I shake my head I can sometimes feel pressure in the area. Recently I've begun to feel this sensation in other parts of my head and I'm getting worried.

Avatar n tn My eyes become itchy and watery. I have used patanol in the past but the eye Dr is now recommending patasol which is very expensive. I want to try Zyrtec d instead of Zyrtec which gives me some releif. Any other suggestions are appreciated.
1517808 tn?1290813790 I have the same condition. My general doctor referred me to an allergist/immunologist, and I was told that I have autoimmune urticaria (hives). I was prescribed an antihistamine (Zyrtec), Zantac75 (an antacid that also has "alpha blocker" properties), and Doxepin (an antidepressant that also has "alpha blocker" properties. Over time, I stopped taking the Zyrtec and Zantac. Now I am only taking the Doxepin. This seems to control everything pretty well.
1274661 tn?1301868321 I already take zyrtec and rhinocort for allergies on top of all of the other meds I take for pain and reflux. I am seeing an allergist in August and I am going back to my pcp tomorrow for the millionth time. Any advice?
Avatar n tn The itching turns to minor pain a week or two later as the skin drys and stretches, almost with very tiny tears. Anyways, as I mentioned, it starts when I take Zyrtec and stops after that.
Avatar f tn I have an eye allergy that started several years ago, after I had pneumonia. My heating/air system at home and in the car irritates my eyes. When the air blows in my face it irritates the veins/blood vessel around my eyes, they get puff and swollen that causes the pressure in my eyes to go up. I'm using four different eye drops provided by my doctor. I only have close-up vision in my left eye and I'm worried that I may soon lose site in my right eye.

Avatar f tn Zyrtec is the safest and one of the most effective allergy meds - deals with more allergens than claritin I use the zyrtec eye drops (i've only had itchy eyes lately) and Sinus Rinse - clears and prevents congestion. It took me a long time to get over the idea of squirting water up my nose, but it is totally worth it.
Avatar f tn Regular claritine or regular zyrtec
1565669 tn?1298559033 Just and fyi to all, I had seen a general doc and advised of my teary eye, she advised that it could be allergies, rx'd Zyrtec, it's been doing better and had not teared up as much.. I'll still contact an Opthlamologist though, thank you all!
Avatar m tn Hi, I saw only one other post on this. What is it when my eyes are fine to work, but as soon as I roll them, I get excrucuating pain behind the top of my orbit? Does not matter which direction I roll them. The pain is there like under my brow. Touching them with mild pressure on the eyelids also causes similar pain (I know - then don't do thta!) Does NOT hurt to blink, hurts less when closed and moving. I am 50 years old.
Avatar f tn It looks like fluid in a sack and is under my eye really at the top of my cheekbone. I have consulted an allergist who prescribed Allegra and/or Zyrtec. Neither works. I have been to a dermatologist as well. I have purchaswd numerous eye creams, nothing works. I can be fine for several days or weeks and then for no reason it appears.
Avatar f tn I have the headache in my eye and temple and it travels to the side of my head. It's real bad. I'll try Tylenol. My bp is normal, a little low.
Avatar f tn Here is link to sinus rinse, they have it everywhere http://www.neilmed.com/usa/sinusrinse_isotonic.
689528 tn?1364135841 10mg every day for the first five days and then every other day for the next five, in addition he gets a generic Zyrtec everyday. Now he just gets a zyrtec every day, and if his allergies act up beyond the zyrtec's control, like this time of year ,he gets a prednisone per day for 3 or 4 days and then every other day for two or until things calm down. Zyrtec can be expensive, but we actually found a generic brand at the dollar store! $1. for 14 pills, so we clear their shelves!
1139187 tn?1355706647 THEN on December 4, 2012, I came across these medhelp posts and read one posting in which the female had the same back issues and she said she quit taking Zyrtec and her pain immediately subsided. That night I did not take the Zyrtec and voila! A great night of sleep! By December 10, 2012 I was experiencing extreme fatigue and returning back pain. My pcp ordered a renal panel and kidney ultrasound, which again were unremarkable.
Avatar f tn I had an eye exam a 2 weeks ago where they blow air in your eye, and Eye doc did not say anything about it.
Avatar m tn My dry eye is treatable with Celluvisc and Refresh Gel drops and like all with dry eye ( moderate and above ) there are good and bad days--However I have run into a difficult situation related to the common cold. What meds can I take that will not effect my dry eye ???? I recently had a cold and took cold meds and my eyes burnt so bad ( even with drops ) that it was near unbearable . The Doc and Pharmacy both said it was the antihistomine and I quit the meds which relieved the dry eye symptoms.
Avatar n tn I was also advised to take Zyrtec and wondered if Zyrtec had any more benefit for skin reactions thank Claritin. Claritin didn't help at all. Two dermatologists suggested Zyrtec over Claritin . I hesitate to try the Zyrtec as I took it once a few years ago and promptly feel into a deep sleep. If it is better for the skin than Claritin can it be taken at night and do any good? Your help is greatly appreciated. This discussion is related to <a href='http://www.medhelp.
Avatar m tn Ok so a little info about me: I'm a 22 year old male. I was diagnosed with a case of bell's palsy back in July 2014 and I took the drug accutane for about 6 months for severe acne I had 3-4 years ago. For about 6 years now I've had a strange problem. Right around the cheekbones on the upper part of my cheeks I feel constant pain. When I'm relaxed the pain is dull but when I get stressed (going to work, working out, etc) it becomes sharp pain.
Avatar f tn My doctor was OK with me taking zyrtec. You just have to make sure to drink lots and lots of water.
Avatar f tn HSV-1 infections on the eye are not difficult to diagnosis and its most likely you do not have it. Your sister likely has Herpes ZOSTER (shingles) not HSV. Even without antiviral medications the healthy eye and healthy person clear HSV in most cases within 2 weeks. Most people with cold sores do not get HSV of the eye.
681148 tn?1437661591 It seems like Akira has seasonal allergies and dust allergies in addition to her food allergies. Because I really don't want to give her long term steroids, I decided to only give her the 1/4 tablet of Zyrtec that the vet told me to give her before. I try to wait 'til I just have to give it to her, because I know that people can build up a tolerance to antihistamines, so I figure that animals can, too.
Avatar n tn but nearly 3 months later i still get headaches for a few min to a few secs all day and these little pings and pangs. i also get pressure in my nose and forehead strain. and pain around eye brows and eyes. i know this isnt a migraine. in my quest to find out whats causing this i got allergy tested. allergies never bothered me before and i dont have the typical symptoms. doc said my allergies are bad enough to at least take a zyrtec a day.
Avatar m tn By 7 or 8 at night, I have to go to bed cause all I want to do is close my eyes in the dark and let them rest. Sinuses are in constant pain, with discharge, and a severe case of congestion. My nose doesn't run, but I do have to blow my nose hourly to remove the junk. This does vary in intensity from day to day, but for at least 4 weeks now, I notice *some* degree of it every day. I can;t really correlate it with my shots. It's quite random from day to day.
