zyprexa and paxil

I was on paxil, generic and went off it two weeks ago and cant lose any of the weight so i am guessing its going to take awhile and alot of exersice and calorie counting good luck.

Then, about 2 ½ years ago I had a near-psychotic meltdown, mostly about the devil and evil spirits, and was diagnosed with OCD and prescribed Anafranil and Zyprexa, which helped with the irrational thinking and obsessive thoughts a little. Between now and then, I have been diagnosed with OCD, Social anxiety disorder, GAD, major depressive disorder, ADHD, and most recently, aspergers/high functioning autism.

My husband and I are trying to have kids. We have been trying for only a few month, however, we are not young anymore (35) and I don't want to wait a year before consulting with a doctor (as it usually recommended). So here is my question: My husband has been taking paxil for the past 13 years (10mg). From the research online I found out that paxil changes sperm DNA that reduces permeability and as a result reduces the chance for pregnancy.

ve takin medicines like zyprexa and abilify but those just made me get hallucinations. Please help me I am seeking for solutions that I can work on.

I have been on Zyprexa for over 8 months started weaning off a few months ago and stopped it a week ago ever since then the treamors i was having have gotten worse and my stomach has been upset ive lost 7 pounds in a week and my sleep has been really bad my doctor told me to take rozerem helps a little and been a little more anxious then i was on it. I'm also taking 40 mgs of Paxil and .5 mgs of klonopin have been for a few yrs.

My fiancee currently takes 5 mg Zyprexa at night, 20 mg Paxil daily and 50 mg of Atenolol twice daily. He also has sleeping problems. Lately he has been experiencing extreme weakness and we are very concerned. Don't know if it's the sleep loss or the Atenolol as he did have a cardiologist tell him that his dosing of Atenolol daily was quite high. Any insight would be wonderful!!

I have similiar problems - i have no sex drive and my erections are weak. I am on zyprexa, celexa, and effexor[antiphsychotic, antidepressents]. Is there anything i can take to improve and return my sexual desires?

gave me a sample pack of 16 50 mg. of Seroquel and a small amount of Valium. In the past 10-15 yrs. I have been prescribed Paxil,Zyprexa,Effexor,Cymbalta, Prozac, Wellbutrin, Lexapro,Celexa, Zoloft, and probably something I have forgotton. These anti-depressants did little or nothing other than lighten my wallet. To be honest,the best results that I have experienced has been taking self injections of testosterone. I am male,55 yrs. old and found that my testosterone levels were very low.

since the age of 15 i am on alot of antidepressants and one antipsychotic,im turning 22 this november...i take 10 mg paxil,5 mg zyprexa,0.5 mg lorazepam and 2.5 mg procyclidine daily 3 hours before sleeping...i drink on the weekends,or a beer or two on weekdays...im in university so alot of partying goes on and sometimes i do tend to drink alot while on my medications...

i have been very lethargic lately,i take zyprexa 5mg,ativan 0.5mg,paxil 10 mg and procyclidine 2.

My mother has had a history of depression, anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. I don't think she's ever truly been "treated" for this things, except for being prescribed meds. Try 6 small meals a day with a protien and carb in small portions. I take ayprexa and I have lost 46 pounds and I am not diabetic I love my zyprexa and I am not going to give it up. I did gain weight at first on it but I have since lost the weight. It is possible to keep the weight off on zyprexa.

I've been taking Zyprexa at bedtime for the past few nights, per Endo #3, and I feel a lot better, folks. As a matter of fact, I felt better almost immediately after taking the first dose. It seems to act quick, like Xanax, but stays in the bloodstream longer or something. Dr. Pretorius was concerned that I was getting a little too used to Xanax, so he wants me to try to gradually come off of that and he'll increase the Zyprexa dosage.

im on ativan-0.5 to 1 mg,procyclidine-2.5mg,zyprexa-5mg and paxil 10to 20 mg for the last 5,6 years...i am 21,male...i do remember things but forget alot of things i want to remember too,like i watched a movie and i dont remember the scenes,just the outline of the movie,i watched a soccer game,next week ill almost forget it,my brother remembers everything about the game...

t increase the dosage because the side effects are awful and clonazepam 0.5mg. He was advised to take zyprexa 0,5mg for a while, but he won't even consider it. He is really really bad, he won't eat, won't go out, sleeps a lot and he firmly believes he only has a few years to live.

Hi I would like to know if after three years of taking low doses of sertraline 25 mg and 2.5 mg of Zyprexa the nausea and dizziness I feel can be due to the discontinuation of the meds. I was prescribed due to a depresion an chronic anxiety conduct. I also experience a bbit of tingling in my hands and feet that goes on and off switching around.

Sounds like that Celexa was pooping out on you and you needed the Zyprexa to jump start it. Same thing has happened to me on more than a few antidepressants. Lithium also makes for a good booster drug, but most people don't try it as an add on because they think it's only for Bi-polar.

I take zyprexa and celexa and I have been stable for 7 years on this combo and the therapy is priceless. It gives you the tools to understand the illnes and deal with it. and definaltly get you thryoid checked as a malfunctioning thryoid will present itself as mental illness. ask for the full panel tests inclucding TSH t3 t4 and antibodies. Let meknow what you find out.I hope and pray things straigtenout for you. try the healthy changes they help alot and cut down the need for so much meds.

my son spiraled badly 3 wks ago and was put on zyprexa(now 10mg) and valporate(1000mg) the first week he was full of anxiety...couldn't settle, just paced the floor yet he was depressed and cried alot too. was told this was a mixed state of BP. the second-part of 3rd week he stabilized but in an extreme depression....so low he could barely get dressed or eat, but he pushed himself and even worked. Now a little into the 3rd week he is still depressed although not as bad...

However what you are describing is unusual and potentially of concern so it would be worthwhile to speak to your psychiatrist and they can see whether the Zyprexa is just not treating what it was prescribed for yet as it was just started or if it is worsening things and what the specific cause of the insomnia is as that can be treated as well. Also keep a mood tracker and sleep tracker and see how things are on a daily basis and how they change and print out the results for your psychiatrist.

It has been 4 weeks since I took my last pill and have not slept very much at all and feel alot of anxiety and feel like I have bugs under my skin and have no appetite. I find it very diffifuclt to make it through the day at work and my mind is mush. I was told to take 5-htp and would make a big difference. I don't know if it is related to withdrawals or the 5-htp but I really couldn't sleep when I took that, which makes no sense since people take it to help insomnia.

I took Ativan and Zyprexa together along with Lexapro with no problems other than being a zombie and fattening up my body to 116lbs--which is half of my two pregnancy weights. So--I got off the Zyprexa and now take Lexapro and Ativan (2mg) as needed. I really hated Zyprexa--it made me have a Turtle Brain....

I am on 75mg of methadone and i have been put on 15mg of Zyprexa. It is working great for my mental issues but i missed a doctors appt and ran out. I have been off of Zyprexa for 9 days now and was on it for 47 days only. The past 6 days i have been feeling withdraw symptoms. Shacks, stomach cramps, cold chills, muscle tightness, teeth clinching almost like it put me into methadone withdraws! I am sure thats not it, but i am worried.
