My son, 21, has been on Zyprexa for 6 months after presenting with a psychotic episode. His psychiatrist recommended a switch from Zyprexa to Zeldox fearing the deveopment of metabolic syndrome. He has now moved and is looking for a new psychiatrist which will take some time before the first appointment. What dosage of Zeldox would be equivalent to 10 mg daily of Zyprexa? What side effects can be expected during the switch from Zyprexa to Zeldox?

before that i had been on ativan since may 09,,and in jan a dr tried me on lithium depakote and zyprexa all during the month of jan....the last one i was on was zyprexa and stopped it march 2 after only being on it about 2 weeks....im feeling more active than i had been on the prozac but abit more sadness for some reason so dr is upping it to 40 mg////i cnat take it in the am as most people do as it makes me so drowsy....

We successfully got him off of the Zoloft, and have gotten him down to 3.75mg of Zyprexa, 50mg Vistiril, and have not started taking him off of the Clonidine (he takes this at night to help him sleep).

but after being on so many meds in jan u know depakote,lithium,and zyprexa and now prozac im worried about seritonin syndrome...since being on the prozac i sweat alot...i think i did read thats a side effect....im doing more but im also kinda feel more sadness so my dr is upping the prozac from 20 mg to 40 mg.....im a bit worried about that as usual......i just feel so discouraged that nothing is gonna work.....and i cant take prozac in the day its makes me zonked...my dr was surprised by that..

By relieving some of the pain, the narcotic is allowing you to function and therefore have ‘more energy’. Bear in mind “energy’ is a simple word for a complex metabolic process. And yes many with CFS and other chronic pain diseases feel more energetic with a opioid.
The challenge is that all medications are really poisons with a good side effect. Opioids especially. There are limits and dangers to opioids.
