I know too some gyms have zumba classes, so I think once you learn the basic moves you can do them to just about any music, so if you get tired of the routines you own you can probably "free style" to your own music. Avatar f tn You can look up zumba and dance workout videos online and do it in the privacy of your own home if you are uncomfortable dancing in a class situation. This is what I do. Also try to stay away from fried foods, candy, and chips.

Avatar f tn Im 22 wks and I've stopped all my zumba classes (the only thing I truly miss) but I try as much as I can to do light weights and use my treadmill as much as possible but some days I can sprint for a hr and sometimes I can't even make it 30 min! So just do what feels rite! Ur body will tell u when it's enough! Congrats!

Avatar f tn Well im big into zumba and when I got pregnant my doctor said thats a great workout that it wouldnt hurt to keep doing it but just in moderation. If ur body is used to working out it shouldnt be an issue to continue.
Avatar f tn I have been really active before getting pregnant also, my doctor told me that if you're already active it is fine to keep doing your regular workouts.. just monitor your heart rate, try not to get above 150. I asked her if boot camp classes and spin is still okay (by two favorite) she said as long and I'm monitoring I can do whatever I feel like as long as it is safe and I am not over heating (no more kick boxing).

Eat lots of veggies, fruits and brown whole grains instead of white. Stay away from processed foods, they tend to contain a lot of sodium and added sugar. Talk to your doctor, since you are overweight, your Dr will probably recommend that you gain less than someone who started out at a healthy weight.

Avatar f tn There are several rhythm/dance workouts on youtube. the ones i've tried are called bodyjam. Which there are a few different ones, about 20 minutes each. there's also Core Rhythms, which is your Zumba type dance. And they have the FULL workout (38 minutes) right on youtube....For free! I have a laptop so i can put it on a shelf on my entertainment center in the living room and Poof! Instant private aerobic dance class. Plus you don't have to buy tons of dvds.

Avatar f tn Plus she has other fun work out r videos like hip hop, belly dancing, zumba, pretty much something for everybody. She has a KILLER one for butt & leg muscles (I've been doing the workout twice a week for 3months & WOW, my cell & fat seemed to vanish...well not ALL of it but most) I hope this helps you & wish you the best. Oh try typing in fun workouts & look for a video called Power Up its pretty good to.

Avatar f tn Lots of walking and a lot of yoga! There's videos for exercises for first trimester, 2nd trimester, and 3rd. You could also check with your doctor to see what works best for you and just a heads up if you start doing this early in your pregnancy it shouldn't be hard as you get bigger! Good luck!
