Avatar m tn Zopiclone can help with difficulty falling asleep, frequent awakenings during the night, or early morning awakenings. Zopiclone should usually not be taken for more than 7 to 10 consecutive days. It should be used only by people for whom disturbed sleep results in functioning problems during the day. Your doctor may have suggested this medication for conditions other than the ones listed in these drug information articles.
Avatar f tn If you want the benefits you must accept the unwanted side effects. All drugs have them, Thank your lucky stars that you've found something that works. Have you tried Zopiclone? See your prescriber & find out if you can try it. It works for me, but it does have side........! If you manage to find one that works & you are happy with it please let me know. Best wishes.
Avatar m tn Quick history - have been taking Imrest 7.5mg (also known as Zopiclone and Immovane (I'm in Australia) for the past 9 years. Just wasn't able to go to sleep as my mind kept racing and thinking about what I have to do tomorrow. 9 years later I got diagnosed with major depression and anxiety. I'm assuming it was the anxiety that was making my mind race at bed time.
Avatar f tn Dear Doctor: For the past ten years I've been taking both Oxycontin and OxyIR. My dosage has increased over the past five years and currently I am taking 340mg day. I've noticed, especially these past for years that I have absolutely no interesin anythig whatsoever. I shut myself away and don't want to talk to people, especiallly my husband. Since I was 17 years old, I've made my own way in life and quite successfully too.
1460021 tn?1445735958 :P I don't mind you asking at all :) I've been off the epilim for a while now and i can say that was a good choice to get off it...the aggression has dropped alot and i have a bit of my mind back now. I'm at the end of our two week mid year break from class...i set out all these amazing things (well perhaps not amazing lol) i was going to do within these two weeks...
Avatar f tn t know if your doctor want to slowly get you off quietiapine or, hopefully, zopiclone by implementing the valproate but my opinion is that you might be over-medicated if he/she doesn't but on the other hand I know nothing about your condition and psych. I mean you are already on a mood stabilizer so I guess you could expect slowly stoping zopiclone.
Avatar f tn However, this is disputed by one study of low dose zopiclone taken for only 7 nights. It found that discontinuation of zopiclone caused significant rebound insomnia. Furthermore when midazolam taken for 7 nights was discontinued no rebound insomnia occurred suggesting that zopiclone may have even more significant problems of tolerance and dependence than the benzodiazepines. After 3 weeks of use mild to moderate rebound withdrawal symptoms appear upon discontinuation of zopiclone.

Avatar n tn I've done this the past few days in various doses. I am prescribed Zopiclone to sleep, although the other night I required 3 x 7.5mg before I slept, which was on top of 2 (100mg) of the Sedating anti depressant Trazodone as well as having taken two Tramadol to help bring on some drowsyness and wind down that night.
Avatar m tn How effective is Zopiclone as a sleeping aid?Is it effective?.
1634491 tn?1302410573 hi and welcome, i am not that familiar with zopiclone, but i do believe it can be addictive, and that it shouldnt be used with methadone, at least not without expert medical advice, someone with more experience will most likely be able to advise you, are you on a methadone program?
1622896 tn?1562364967 Zopiclone can be habit forming when taken regularly. It is usually only prescribed short-term and for more severe cases of insomnia. Withdrwal from this med should not be done too quickly. Some of the withdrawal symptoms are the same as quitting alcohol or benzos. Even though it is classified as a hypnotic it is still difficult to stop.
Avatar f tn I have been prescribed zopiclone 7.5mg for 4 weeks by my doctor. It was supposed to be 1 at night but i find 1/2 a tablet helps me get 6-7 good hrs which i am happy with. my question is will i get withdrawal from taking 1/2 tablet nightly for 4 weeks if i stop or will i need to taper? Also is it realistic to expect my liver to repair itself given time....i have no symptoms of liver damage....i'm asking just in case?
Avatar m tn You do not need to taper Zopiclone. You can take it as needed whenever you want. You can stop it it without adverse consequences (other than insomnia, of course). I do encourage you to continue your gabapentin, however. It is a very helpful medication for a few months after the withdrawal of opiates. Good for you for quitting. Stay strong!
Avatar m tn Does anyone have any information or experience regarding using ambien versus temazepam? I've been taking ambien for 60 days, and my Dr. today gave me a prescription for temazepam 15mg as an alternative to ambien. He said it should give me a few more hours of sleep. Ambien right now is good for about 5 hours of dead-to-the-world sleep, followed by a few hours of in-and-out sleep. Not very satisfying. Besides, I've taken it longer than I really wanted to.
Avatar m tn From March, 2010, I started to take zopiclone at the same time, the maxinum I had taken was 16pills/day and now I was taken 8-10pills/day. I found that I got weight loss, weakness, non stable mental all the days. I want to quit all of them but it seems very difficult because everyday I had to work for money. Could anyone tell me some good ideas to quit them? It would be very appriciate. thank you.
Avatar f tn Started having sleep disturbances a couple years ago. With the stresses of school, have increases my use of zopiclone. Was on 3.75mg, then 7.5mg and up and down when possible to cut back or needed because of stress. Finished my RX Dec 26 and have been without it for about 7 days now. No tapering. Symptoms have included rebound insomnia, intense anxiety that runs through my body and stresses me out when night time approaches. Nausea. No appetite. Depressed. Anxious.
Avatar f tn I previously alternated between temazepam and zolpidem for sleep. I also take gabapentin. Three weeks ago I stopped temazepam and tramadol. I am taking zolpidem every night now and continue gabapentin 3x a day. I don't crave either of the meds I quit, but I have been experiencing inability to concentrate, ringing in my ears, vomiting, blurry vision, sweating, confusion, anxiety and mood swings. The symptoms wax and wane and I can't find a pattern.
Avatar f tn I am currently using Zopiclone during the daytime as an anxiolytic and am worried about my overuse and addicition isssues. Would be glad of an y advice or suggestions as to how to cut down - this is really becoming a big scare for me.
